Services
To provide high quality veterinary services exclusively for feline patients in a low stress, clean and comfortable environment. We are a primary care veterinarian clinic dedicated to offering outpatient services for domestic cats. We are a husband and wife team ( yes.we get along well :) so you will always speak to one of us.
Should your cat need surgery, we offer diagnostics such as blood work, close surgical monitoring, post-operative pain medications and loving after care for our patients. Many surgeries are done at our clinic, but occasionally the doctor might feel a patient would be better served by the skills of a specialist surgeon in which case we will help arrange a referral.

The grieving process includes accepting the reality of your loss, accepting that the loss and accompanying feelings are painful, and adjusting to your new life that no longer includes your pet. How do I tell my family? Family members usually are already aware of a pet's problems. Most cats will never have a serious problem with their hearing during their lives.

Went in this week for the first time. Brought my snuffly boy to see if she had any new alternatives for treatment. I loved that she listened to me. I never felt rushed. I feel like we will have a partnership on care for this cat and others.

They are absolutely fantastic. No naughty cat is too naughty for them, they just accommodate where needed, while still providing the best care.

I love Dr. Dana and my cats do too. Since she specializes in cats and understands them, she has a clean, calm and quiet environment for them. There are no noisy dogs barking and my cats don't dread going to the vet as much. There are even heat pads on the exam tables to relax and calm them. She treats every patient and their people with utmost care and respect.

They treated our dear kitty so well. Everyone is kind and patient, even towards owners.

My husband and I appreciate that their specialty is cats, so there were no barking dogs or other pets in the vicinity. We were able to be seen immediately, which avoided the stress of waiting with not one, but two cats crying out their extreme displeasure. We felt that Dr. Crigger was very thorough in her exam and asked lots of questions about our cats. We didn't get the impression that we were just an appointment to fill her day.

They're the best because they have knowledge about kitties and seem to actually care about your circumstances. I don't feel like they're trying to get more money out of me.

Very nice people and they know cats! I was able to squeeze in today rather last minute, get some great advice and some shots and blood test run.

Truly the best vet clinic I have ever used. My senior, grumpy cat with a lot of health issues has been a patient there for 2 years and every single interaction has been wonderful. Dr. Crigger does an amazing job of balancing what's best for your cat, your family, and your budget. She is thoughtful when explaining what is going on and offering treatment options. Allen is the nicest person ever and just as special as Dr. Crigger.

It is so nice to talk to the same person every time and both of their caring shines through. Truly kind, compassionate people. Having a cat-only practice brings a level of understanding that is often missing at other practices, since cats can be more difficult patients in a variety of ways. For first-time patients: The exam room is not slick, shiny, razzle-dazzle you might see at some other practices.

And - it doesn't matter one bit! It is incredibly clean, spacious, and cat-friendly (such as no windows, which always stressed my guy out at other practices). Dr. Crigger is very up-to-date on all the best standards of care, cat-specific treatments, and technology for testing, so don't let older countertops cloud your opinion. Dr. Crigger and Allen have been a blessing in my - and my cat's - life.

Dr. Dana and Allen are the best vet experience I have ever had. The atmosphere is calming for my kitties. I love the quality of care, but also quality of life my kitties have because of them. I only wish they were closer, but well worth the drive! Oh, and don't forget Socrates, who is always on greeter duty!

The people here are super friendly and understanding; if you love your furbaby I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat! It is a little more expensive for a visit than I'd expect, but the quality of care makes it well worth it. Plus, they've got a friendly little guy named Socrates keeping watch of the lobby!

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Dana Crigger and her awesome partner Allen Crigger. My husband found them several years ago when our local veterinarian threw up their hands on what to do to help our precious Ollie who had been suffering with irritable bowel. Dr Crigger worked with us to help find a proper Course of medication and nutritional changes to give our precious boy many more years of quality life.

When the sad time came at 16 years of age and other serious health complications both Dr Dana and Allen walked us through one of the most difficult decisions of helping our Ollie to be released from the suffering with compassion and dignity. Not enough stars to convey our appreciation!

We decided to take our new cat here after she developed some breathing issues and we had a great experience. Dr. Crigger is amazing! She really walked us through everything and made us feel comfortable. The office is so cat friendly too. The cost of everything we had to get done was comparable to other vets we have been to in the past.

I cannot recommend Dr. Dana enough. I live 30 miles away from their office but I make the drive because she is by far the best vet I've ever been to. I won't take my boys anywhere else. I have two cats and both of them have had a few health issues arise over the years. She takes any concerns I have seriously but is also very conservative in her approach and will never recommend unnecessary tests or meds.

I have one cat with colitis that had an initial misdiagnosis by another vet. She figured out what the problem was during the first appointment and helped us manage it with a prescription diet and occasional medication when needed. Her bedside manner is wonderful- she will listen to your concerns and you never feel like she's rushing you out the door.

It's also helpful that the office is never crowded- it's just Dr. Dana and Alan (who is also amazing!) and it's a very calm environment for my kitties. I have one cat who never does well at the vet's office, but at the end of the first appointment, he was purring and nearly falling asleep on the exam table. 10/10 experience every time!

After coming to Dr Dana I will never take a cat to the regular vet again. My last cat, Sebastian, had lost half of his weight and the regular vet said there was nothing wrong with him and diagnosed him with anxiety. I brought him for a second opinion to Dr Dana, and she could tell there was something going on and referred me to a specialist where we got a true diagnosis of cancer. Dr Dana was so great and helped me understand my options and was willing to help any way she could. Everyone here is so caring and compassionate. You can tell they are genuine. I highly recommend!

Dr. Crigger has been taking excellent care of my cats for a decade now, which makes putting this to words a bit challenging because the Cat Hospital is simply a part of life at this point. She has improved the quality of life of my cats (and my own, as a result) in immeasurable ways time and time again. She is experienced, knowledgeable, and patient. If you have cats, you know they deserve the very best -- and, well, here it is!

There was a feral cat in my yard that was very pregnant so I caught her in a live trap and put her in a screened in patio area. She had six kittens. One of the kittens (the runt) was not doing well so I called to see if I could get her in for treatment. That was on a Tuesday. I was told that they could not see the kitten until the next week. I called Allen Veterinary Hospital and they said they had walk in hours from 3-5 in the afternoon.

I took her and they saw her in about an hour after I got there. Unfortunately they had her for a few days. She ended up not making it. Over the past several years I have always gone to Cat Hospital of Collin County. They have been there for my annual exams for my cats and spayed two female cats that I have had. I was so surprised with the lack of flexibility when I had a small kitty that was seriously ill. I just don't think that my business of over several hundred dollars a year has been appreciated. I will go back to Allen Veterinary Hospital in the future.

So glad I found Dr. Crigger. I have two cats and have been consistently impressed by the clinic's willingness and flexibility to get us in and, most importantly, how calm (and even curious!) my cats are when coming to the vet! They've helped me find solutions to help with my cats' stress that are not a medication and are super willing to provide advice and guidance.

I love coming to a vet that really understands cats (rather than a lot of vets where cats are very much a secondary focus to dogs) and can talk in detail about the specifics of cat care. Dr. Crigger is both compassionate and straight-forward about what's going on; Alan has been so helpful with helping my husband find the right food (I usually do all the food purchasing) and helps me in and out to my car (which is a relief with a 19 lb cat!) Thank you Cat Hospital of Collin County!

Dr Crigger is the best Vet I have ever had for my cats! Plus Allen is so helpful when I call with questions She is honest, handles them with care and low stress (my 2 cats love her and Allen), very rare with cats. Do your cats a favor go to the Cat Hospital of Collin County where it's Cats only and the cat experts! Thanks Dr. Crigger and Allen!

Dr Dana and Alan were awesome. Our cat Henry seemed to be having trouble with balancing. Dr Dana is some meds for him and 7 hours later, he seems to be getting better. Dr. Dana loves the cats and very sincere person. The place is for cats only and very immaculate. We were recommended by friends and are very grateful to Dr Dana. If you have any cat issues, I would highly recommend this place. They are very knowledgeable and don't push any unnecessary tests and explains everything to us. Thank you Dr Dana for all your help on our Henry.

We took our cat Ernie with a history of urethral stricture, heart murmur and chronic kidney disease to the CHCC. Ernie had PU surgery in April in New Mexico do it was time for a check up. She was very thorough and had a wonderful bedside manner. She called us with the lab results and went through a thorough explanation on how to reduce Ernie's stress and keep him healthy. She was genuinely empathetic and kind. We will bring our other 4 cats to her in the future.

Dr. Dana is fantastic! She and her staff are amazing, offer the best medical attention and know that a trip to the vet can be stressful on both the cat and owner. I have 2 Siamese cats with very different personalities and she handles both with such care. One has to be sedated to get his physical and any vaccinations (they are pros with aggressive cats). We have been going to Cat Hospital for over 8 years and highly recommend them to all cat owners!

Dr. Dana is the best, as is everyone in her practice. She is compassionate, sharp and very thorough. She is also very down-to-Earth and willing to answer any question, no matter how simple or complex. We recently added a new kitten to our family and were watching another kitten for a family, and unfortunately our oldest cat caught every illness they had. Dr. Dana and her staff have been lifesavers this month as we work to get our kitty back to 100%. We are very picky with the care our pets receive and trust Dr. Dana with our fur-babies' lives.

Doc Dana and everyone at CHCC are simply superb! Their care is top-notch, compassionate, and thorough, yet REASONABLE and reasonably-priced - they won't make you feel guilty, for example, if you don't feel it's best to put your kitty through some ungodly expensive "high tech" treatment or drug regime that's not likely to contribute to the quality of your kitty's life (which we've unfortunately experienced with many other vets in the area). Doc Dana and staff have cared for our multiple cats for years, and have helped us through the painful time of supporting 2 of our elderly cats through the inevitable death process, and we have nothing but the best things to say about our entire experience with them. We only wish we could find pediatricians for our human children who are as caring and trustworthy as everyone at CHCC!

What a great place for my cat! We've been coming here for years. Everyone is so kind and caring. Sam is diabetic and years ago DR Crigger was so good at explaining how to take blood samples, give shots etc that ii calmed us down and we just move forward. They were so caring when it came time for Millie to cross the rainbow - for both of us. I can't say enough about this great bunch of people! And the office kitty is just adorable!

I love this place. I've tried a couple different veterinarian's in the Allen area, and Dr. Crigger is by far my favorite. Most other vets quickly diagnosis a problem, hand over some medicine and send me on my way. Dr. Crigger is very thorough and spends time with us discussing different options and makes suggestions on what to change. She genuinely cares about your pets well being.

And since this is a hospital specifically for cats, it's a relief knowing we won't have to deal with loud barking dogs. My only gripe is that they're a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Best feline vet there is! Dr. Crigger and her staff are fantastic, down to earth, and really really love cats! From the moment you walk in and are greeted by Socrates (formerly by Minnow) you feel at peace even if you have a sick kitty. My old grumpy kitty passed in 2008 at the age of 19 after a brief downhill slide. Dr. Dana and Ellen were so understanding and comforting. Dr. Dana's philosophy is if the cat isn't suffering the kitty should pass in their surroundings.

We gave her some pain meds and a few hours later she passed peacefully on her pillow with mommy petting her head. While sad, I was grateful to have those last hours with her and the peace of knowing she went out where she was comfortable and not stressed in a cage at the vet. Highly, highly recommend! They now take care of my two new fur babies and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I am so happy to have found Dr. Crigger and her amazing staff! The entire team took excellent care of my cat. Midas is 14 years old, on the hefty side and was suddenly not herself. Dr. Crigger was very gentle and understanding which calmed us both down! She was able to diagnose Midas that day and she is now on the road to recovery and feeling friskier than she has in a long time. It is clear that this dedicated team goes above and beyond for their little patients every day. Thanks for taking care of my baby!

I've moved here, Allen, TX. Feb. 2013, and I had been to this office since March 2013. July 2013, I had taken an another kitten and everything was great at that time. This incident happened yesterday, Sept. 23, 2013, the kitten had his right eye swelling up & red to where he could hardly opened his eye. I called to see if I could bring him in, but there was no opening and next available appointment was next morning which is today.

I thought the kitten played rough with the other cat, but I could see him in pain & suffering because he wasn't as active as usual and he has lost his appetite. I was told that he should be OK. till next day's appointment, but I knew there was something wrong with him, so I called another Vet. where I could take my kitten to. I stopped by the Cat Hospital to pick up my 2 cats' medical records this morning and I explained what happened the day before yesterday.

I had need to explain the reason why I was switching the Vet. ( since I liked this place), and I showed the picture of my kitten's eye 3 hours after he was treated with tears in my eyes. The lady took a glance at the picture and she just said to understand their situation which I totally understand, but I didn't feel any empathy or sympathy for my kitten.

I do understand they were booked and they were very busy, but if I can't take my cats in for an emergency, what is the use of having a Vet. Even though I loved this Vet. office, I wouldn't take my cats there any longer, even if it was "Free."
