Generally, only adult fleas are found on pets. Females commonly lay eggs inside the house in cracks, crevices, and carpeting, or outside in damp areas. Over the lifespan of a female flea several thousand eggs can be laid. The eggs can hatch and become larvae as early as two weeks after being laid and then they enter a pupae stage.
We all want clean water for ourselves and our pets. Many homes have turned to reverse osmosis systems, or to purchasing bottled water. Below are the findings from a long study conducted by the World Health Organization from the 1970's through the early 2000's, concerning the effects of drinking demineralized and reverse osmosis water.
Avian nutrition has only been well researched for approximately 25 to 30 years for most companion species. Most species have a particular dietary niche which makes a general dietary recommendation difficult. Avian practitioners have found though that all birds enjoy variety in their diets both physically and psychologically.
Similar to egg binding, Peritonitis (an indicator of internal laying), is a distressing issue that can occur with laying hens. Internal laying is a disorder where the yolk of the egg, rather than being laid in a normal manner, is not taken up by the oviduct and instead is deposited in the abdomen. This can be a genetic use, but often times it follows an incidence of infection or trauma to the oviduct, such as a thin shelled egg breaking inside the hen.Internal laying by itself is not always an issue Occasionally a hen will lay internally for no apparent reason and the yolk will simply be absorbed back into the body without complications if there are no bacteria present.

Its a really good clinic For birds! My bird got sick on february, and We rushed Her to the vet. When we arrived they welcomed My bird Yago. If it weren't for Them saving my bird from a Broken wing, I dont Think She would've survived. Thankyou for saving My bird.

Friendly, caring, and with 30+ years of experience! Dr Sellers took all the time needed to examine my cat and advise me about nutritional options. She even removed tartar from two teeth, so we don't have to come back for a teeth cleaning.

First time taking my African Grey to this clinic. Everyone was friendly, thorough and punctual. Vet called to discuss everything and answer questions. Great follow up! Enjoyed the experience end to end. My guy Gus!

Dr. Sellers has taken care of my cats for about twenty years. She is caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate to her patients and their human caregivers. She clearly explains my cat's medical condition and any care or medication my cat will need at home. I will never forget her exquisite kindness and skill in taking care of my three elderly (20+ years old) cats. Dr. Sellers made these situations so much easier for my cats and for me.

I am very grateful. I find Dr. Grunewald caring and knowledgeable too, and was so happy with the way she cared for my younger cat's eye problem. The clinic staff is always kind and helpful too. I highly recommend The Cat and Bird Clinic to anyone seeking high vet quality care in a compassionate environment.

Dr. Sellers and the people who work here are absolute life savers and I mean that in the most literal way, they have saved our cats life and made dealing with a sick animal so much easier. I really can't thank everyone here enough and having an app that we can ask questions during business hours is awesome!

I was able to quickly get a reason for my cat's symptoms as opposed to my usual veterinary care. With something that was taking weeks with no questions answered, took one appointment with the Cat and Bird Clinic. All the staff and doctors are very kind and patient and take time to understand your questions before giving thoughtful answers. I will continue to take my cat here in the future.

I took my son's newly adopted kitty in for 1st checkup and the staff and Vet we're so friendly and very accommodating. I accidentally came in an hour early and they took us in immediately. Dr. G was great at taking the time to answer all my questions, and made me feel comfortable and confident in having a cat for the first time.I highly recommend them for new and seasoned cat parents

Highly recommend! We have a bird. We love to go & hang out with the fat kitty's and gold fish in the waiting room. We are long time customers. Dr. Sellers and the staff are the best! Everything is always explained and they handle the animals with confidence and care. My favorite thing is that they just handle your situation to get what is needed done. There is no crazy up sell like some other places seem to do. I wish dogs could go there to!

Excellent and knowledgeable staff. I brought my cat in to get her teeth checked out. She ended up needing to get two of her teeth pulled. What I thought was going to cost me a Santa Barbara rent check to get her helped, ended up being much more affordable than anticipated. The staff are all very nice and took great care of her and we're good at explaining everything that needed to be done for her.

Always quick, on time, and informative. Answers questions I didn't even know I should ask. I feel like my bird is well cared for and so is my wallet. Great place!
