Services
Annual physical exams, performed at the time of vaccinations, are recommended to determine your pet's health status. A physical exam gives the doctor a look into your pet's mouth, ears, eyes and throat. The lymph nodes are all palpated for enlargement and the abdomen is felt for pain or abdominal masses.
Abdominal ultrasound is available for patients to gain a different perspective of what's going on in the body than x-rays offer. We are able to determine the architecture of organs such as the kidney, liver, spleen and bladder. Additionally ultrasound can be used to diagnose pregnancies in small animals before a skeletal structure can be seen on x-ray.
Floating your horse's teeth can help enhance the quality and extend the life of your horse. Performance may be improved with application of proper bit seats and the pain caused by sharp points cutting into the cheek surface can be eliminated. At Boulder Vet Clinic we use a combination of power and hand tools to assure that your horse's teeth are well cared for.

We were travelling through Wyoming when both our Bernese Mountain dogs started having some issues. Susie made time for us in her schedule and saw the two dogs the very next morning. After a careful examination of both dogs, she made some recommendations, and gave us a prescription. She also pointed us to a wonderful feed store (Bomgaars). The issues with both our dogs cleared up in no time, and the Holiday was rescued.

It can be tough when you are a long ways from home and don't know anyone; your care and kindness gave us peace and made us--not to mention both dogs--feel so much better. Thank you.

Susie has handled our large and small animals. She has been phenomenal with our dogs, house cats and barn cats. She's done neuters, spays, routine care (well checks, vaccinations, dental care) and emergency care for us. She was also caring and accommodating when we chose to let our senior dog go after a debilitating stroke. Susie has always been a wonderful large animal vet for us as well.

We had a mare who required multiple days of care after foaling. Susie kept the mare until she was satisfied that we would not lose her-the mare made a full recovery and is a fantastic mom. She has also helped us save two foals with clostridium, one of which required a plasma transfusion. She also has had the unfortunate task of putting down two gravely injured horses for us. Her compassion and empathy made very difficult situations much easier to handle. We cannot say enough good about Susie Blaha and the entire staff at Boulder Vet Clinic.

This woman is a crook nor does she kn ow what she's talking about. We had 3 incidences with her and on the last one decided to switch vets. 1st incident: foals blood coagulating from mares milk. Her diagnosis: oh he just has a sensitive stomach. No tests were done. Foal died. 2nd incident: brought a horse in for her to look at his hock. Her diagnosis: the horse is stiffled, he needs to be put down.

Actual diagnosis: A PULLED MUSCLE! 3rd incedent: brought dog in with a broken hip. Susie says, "it can't be fixed, he needs to be put down." We brought the same dog to Dr. DEAN in pinedale. He fixed the hip, no problem. This woman will kill your animals, or recommend them to be put down. She does not know what she's doing. I recommend you bring your animal to her if you want it dead.
