Boone County Veterinary Clinic is a full-service, small animal veterinary care facility that provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-house digital x-ray capabilities, blood analyzing machines, surgery and dental areas and a closely supervised hospitalization ward. At Boone County Veterinary Clinic we strive to offer sound advice and optimal veterinary care, allowing you the enjoyment of your companion for a maximum number of years.

The Boone County Veterinary Clinic exists to honor God by striving for excellence as we serve our patients, clients, employees, and community. Dr. Whitmore did his undergraduate work at the University of Arkansas. He received his doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Louisiana State University in 1988.
We value yearly examinations very highly to be sure your pet is healthy and to detect problems early. This will help us to be able to advise you on what is best for your pet for the different stages of their life. The best way to keep your pet healthy is to prevent problems before they occur whenever possible.
If you are a new client we are glad you have chosen us. To help process your information in a timely manner please fill out a new client form and bring it with you. Seriously these people are the best! Dr. Whitmore is outstanding. My dog had a tumor that another vet said would cost me $1200 to have removed. Boone said $150! After waiting 3 years my dog finally got it removed (obviously it's wasn't life threatening). So that's why I drive from Branson down to Harrison to keep them as my dog's vet. Plus when my dog had a bad reaction to the rabies vaccine they worked out a plan for the next time to counter-act that. The office/vet techs are all very nice.

We were out of town from Florida and they were able to fit us in next day, with being super busy. There was an unexpected surgery when we got there which they offered to keep her rather than us wait but we rather to wait with her. It wasn't super long. The vet and staff were all super nice and would definitely recommend

We just love bringing our fur babies to Boone County veterinary clinic they do such a great job thank you so much I can not say enough about this place we had to put down are little Rocky every person in this place had sent us a card with his footprint and every one in this place had signed it and sent it to us thank all of you and God bless you all

I recently moved to the area and was in need of a vet for my 12 year old dog who needed several of her teeth removed. I was nervous about having her under anesthesia with her age etc. but I have never felt more relaxed after one phone call to BCVC. The front desk is incredible! They really take the time to listen to all your concerns and answer every question with intention. SHOUT OUT to Autumn! Dr. Whitmore was amazing as well.
He ensured me that she was in great hands throughout the whole process from drop off to pick up. I honestly could go on and on. these people are AMAZING. From a stranger walking in for the first time, they treat you like they've known you and your animal for years. (That's all a crazy dog mom wants anyways!)

Our puppy was fixed and had a dew claw removed, after 2 days she had gotten her stitches out of her foot (with a cone) called and spoke with Autumn and they got her in immediately with no problems and she was ready to go again in an hour. All of the people are so wonderful, and try to get to know the animals so they feel more comfortable. So happy with the care my pets receive here wouldn't take them anywhere else!
