My cat was very sick and needed emergency care. This place was the nearest so we brought him there. After about half an hour the doctor calls us and tells us he's basically dying and needs care right away. They told us they needed $1800 right away to even touch him. The banks were closed so we couldn't get the entire 1800 that second. He proceeds to tell us how sick our cat is but since we have no money in his hand he won't help. Awful awful people. We brought our baby to a different hospital and he was taken very good care of and his doing very well now.

The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. And the exam rooms are bright and clean. Dr Haims really listens and gives plenty of options. He doesn't try and sell options to you like so many other practices do. I highly recommend his practice.

Dr. Haims and staff are the kindest, most professional vet and vet techs around. We have a number of rescue dogs and cats - I would not trust anyone else. When our Dino became ill and passed, Dr. Haims treated him with the utmost care, did not try to make money from us by recommending unnecessary treatment, and - even - made a donation to vet college in Dino's name. Absolutely the best.

Took my dog to Haims due to a head nod indicating a possible front limb injury. Haims talked about possible osteosarcoma and recommended x raysSince my dog is aggressive Haims tried to sedate my dog in his parking lot before bringing the dog into his practice. The first injection failed to sedate, Haims then repeated the procedure with a second injection this also failed. Muzzled he took my dog inside and there was able to sedate and take 5 X-rays.

I was charged for 3 sedation procedures the 2 that failed and the one that was successful. Haims said because he did the procedures even though they failed he has to charge me. I didn't argue because I was concerned about my dog and did not want to put my dog thru more sedation at another Vet.i was desperate for some answers. Haims found nothing unusual on the X-rays but said he doesn't do this all the time so would I want him to send the X-rays to a radiologists.

He charged me $140 per X-ray didn't see anything unusual but obviously isn't sure at what he's looking at. When I asked him again if there's anything suspicious and he said no I declined the radiologist. Haims gave the dog a anti inflammatory injection gave me anti inflammatory pills charged me $1,500 and sent me on my way. After finishing the pills and no improvement in the dog I went back to Haims and asked him if Lyme desease could be the culprit he said possibly and proceeded to give me a 20 day supply of Doxycycline.

I told him that numerous vet sites state 28 days or longer of Doxycycline is required to effectively treat a Lyme infection he disputed this and again sent me on my way. About 5 months later after no improvement and while in Florida I went to a vet neurologist he found no neurological or orthopedic problem, he said since I'm from up north he suspects Lyme disease.

I told him that Haims prescribed 20 days he replied not long enough. Thru him I gave the dog a 5 week course of Doxycycline and the head nod disappeared. This after spending $1,500 at Haims for no answer or resolution. Cost at the neurologist $140 you decide if you want to take your pet to Haims. P.S don't know who these local guides are who rave about this vet and his practice.

I wonder what's motivating them to give such favorable reviews. My dog was in obvious discomfort for 5 extra months after seeing Haims due to lack of proper diagnosis and lack of appropriate treatment. As I mentioned earlier you determine if you want to trust your pet to this veterinarian. In my opinion you should error on the side of caution and go somewhere else.

I have had pets over the years and been to different veterinarians but have never met a nicer compassionate honest and funniest doctor. The whole staff is great I recommend anyone who needs to take their pet to a vet to use this animal hospital. Patricia Tonelli

They've been treating my animals for about 10 years now. They went out of their way to accommodate us in an emergency right before they closed and were super supportive when we lost our old man of a cat recently. Even sent a handwritten sympathy card -- I thought the effort there was sweet and heartfelt.

Awesome animal hospital! The staff has an overwhelming passion for animals, they treat their client's pets as if they were their own. I found this very comforting considering I had to leave my cat there for an extended period of time. I knew she was in great hands the minute I stepped in the door. Very clean exam rooms and the doctor is great! Best vet in the area, hands down.

The staff and Veterinarian are not only professional, knowledgeable, capable of handling all sizes of animals (I have encountered other vets afraid of my 100lb chocolate English lab). The facility is clean, and well-cared for, and I feel the staff genuinely love and care for animals. My big dog gets super excited to see everyone there whenever we go. I almost think he loves them more than me! Lol

We have been going to Dr. Haims for the past 5+ years. Prior to Dr. Haims we went through countless vets for the care of our English bulldog none of which compared to Dr Haims. Today the Baldwin Place Animal Hospital is like family. They are always seeing us on short notice, answering our calls and genuinely caring about our puppy. Their expertise and knowledgeable staff is second to none! Top notch care for our child! Thanks for all your continual efforts Dr. Haims, Ralph, Jen, Christina and the rest of the BPAH staff!
