Starting out in the clinic as a kennel crew team member in his teenage years, Dr. Barry quickly climbed the educational ladder and graduated from Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and returned to Baileys to work as an associate veterinarian. Fast forward a few years, adding a lot of hard work and dedication, Dr. Barry is now one of the owners of Bailey Veterinary Clinic.
In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support - Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered after hours, weekends and holidays. Just like us, your senior pets are more likely to develop health problems as they get older.
Since 1950, Bailey's has changed its physical appearance, but has stayed constant in its commitment to care for you and your pets. Beginning our tour with our spacious and fully equipped "large animal" facility, Bailey's would like to welcome you to our clinic. Horses, cows, sheep and goats are included in the animals treated here in our barn.

Service is the worse. You never see the same vet, I was on hold for 45 minutes, they said they would have meds at drive up window and did not. It is to hard to get you pet into. When you make an appointment to go in you still have wait in parking lot for two or more hours, and same thing when checking out after the appointment when you need to pay the bill. Waiting is what they make you do, not a pleasant experience.

My cat Oreo had been seen at Baileys in March, where they told me she had hyperthyroidism which was great. But they neglected to either tell me or notice in the physical exam the huge mass on her liver. That lead to my cat feeling nauseous and not eating at all anymore. The mass was about the size of a golf ball almost two golf balls. Somehow they didn't notice so I had to go to a different vet since they wouldn't accept my cat an emergency appointment without charging me $165 to maybe be an emergency.

Where as when I went to the one in cannonville, they didn't want to do tests just the get money from me. They were able to tell me in the exam what had been going on, and how she had been feeling constantly nauseous all the time. They didn't try to up sale and take more money from me, I lost my cat because they failed to notice it sooner. I will never take any of my pets here again.

I do not like to put down eatablishments especially in the wake of covid and the low staffing epidemic of our time. That being said, I was severely disappointed with the amount of communication and care of the Baileys Vet Clinic Staff. My Cat and I waited from before opening to closing to be approached by anyone from the clinic. As a walk-in patient, I fully understand the need to be flexible as other appointment slots are being seen as well as emergency cases.

Not talking to a single employee in person during the 8hrs is poor patient care and unacceptable. If it had been a serious issue or needed timely attention- this is not a place to be seen, there was no assessment or triage made- but most of all there was no communication to when your pet would be seen, check-in on your pets current condition, or reassurance that you had not been forgotten. Do better Bailey's, I felt your standard of care was lacking.

MY BELOVED CAT DIED. Took my not yet 3 year to have read the chart notes when she called after doing yet another $165 acute care exam. She wanted to do an ultrasound and urinalysis, which they had done 13 days earlier, at a cost of $43 and $62. She sent us home with the EXACT SAME ANTIBIOTIC AND OTHER MEDICINES and a bill of $402.69! Didn't even bother checking for dehydration or anything else that we know of as she did not bother to come discuss his condition with us.

Neither did she or anyone from Bailey's bother to check on Taz. MY BELOVED CAT, TAZ, DIED SATURDAY MAY 21st. I will never take any animals here again. I do not recommend this place.

Should have been easy to diagnose my old dog problem. But $300.00 later had zero answers & wanted her back for more test! They're a rip off! It's all about the money! Should have taken her to for the love of paws!

Their vets seem to be adequate. There are a couple vet techs that seem to think they know my dog and his routines better than I do. We have had a handful of instances where we asked them to do things a certain way, and the vet agreed, then the techs dont do it how we wanted and the results are inconclusive, costing us more money. The business side of things are a little different for us.

They seem to try and corner you into spending as much as possible. They are fairly difficult to work with for getting prescriptions, so we can get our dogs medication much, much cheaper.

There good vets but it can take forever to get an appointment. When my cat was sick with an ear infection and an upper respiratory infection it took almost a month to get an appointment and if they tell you to come in as a walk in be prepared to literally wait all day. They are the most expensive vet I have ever been to but you can't switch vets because no one in town with take new patients.

It was our first visit with our new and very sick puppy Ernie. The staff was very kind and helpful and the vet was thorough with his treatment and exam. He made sure we came home with all the needed directions for our little boy As of today he is feeling much better. They even gave use a discount. It was a really rough day for our family and they all were so helpful and understanding. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You guys were a real blessing Sincerely Rod and Lisa Hubbell And our O.E.S Ernie

I have had a few issues with Bailey's vet recently but this situation was the cherry on top. My lovely parents just moved up here with their 14 year old dog. Thursday night he started showing the signs of impending death. My parents knew to keep him from suffering, they were going to have to put him down. After many phone calls to other vets who suggested Baileys, because they have emergency services, they called them to ask for help.

At this point the dog was suffering by convulsing and seizing in my mothers arms. They begged Bailey's to help them and put this dog out of his misery and give him a peaceful end. Baileys said no because they weren't an established client. Was it because of the money, they would of happily paid anything. But no, because Bailey's told them that and denied service, this dog seized to death in my mothers arms and had to sit in a box till the next day.

That is very traumatic for people who loved their pet. What if they were traveling, it shouldn't matter. What they did was inhumane and the dog could of had a peaceful death. Baileys, do better.

Took our Dog to Baileys they took our Trixie right in she was not eating they kept her overnight gave her IV fluids, x-rays, medicine for gastritis. Never could tell us what was wrong or what caused it. I called next day to make arrangements to pickup her up, the doctor tried to talk me into leaving her overnight again I thought something wasn't right here. Went to get my Trixie, went to pay and was told $1589 for 24 hours I could not believe it.

For what? Way way overcharged in my opinion. Tried to return unused medicine $59.00 not needed was told on the phone could return it, got there couldn't return because opened, opened by the girl at the counter to take the syringe out of box to mark it for level. Not rocket science it's marked already we can read. We have spent lots of $$$ over the years with Baileys over $5000 on a previous pet that died shortly after. No More! Sad Baileys not what it use to be!

I called as an emergency walk in and they had me come on in. At first I was told 2-3 hrs for walk in, but once they checked my Max and such, they listed him as acute and took him right in. They ran extensive tests and labs and were so wonderful with us. They couldn't figure out the problem, but referred us to a specialist. They were so caring and we received outstanding service. Thank you everyone at Baileys.

Loving and caring staff. My girl could not been treated better in her final days. They were always kind to me even in my anguished behavior. I have an exponential respect for Dr. Shana and the Ladies in Waiting, for their love and kindness, the showed in Artemis ' final days.

First I recommend reading the reviews below. We have had Baileys a few years and it had been acceptable. Our little dog had not been doing well and my wife took her to Baileys. They did some test along with some x rays and charged us $200 no problem as they said she had congestive heart failure and enlarged heart. Ordered medication again no problem until yesterday.

The dog had stopped eating and we wanted to know why and what could be done. More test and more x rays. My wife approved for blood work and they had said she was dehydrated so she approved to have her hydrated. They had put her on medication to remove water off the heart and said nothing this could happen. No x rays was approved and they charged $500.

They only have one thing in mind and that is money and more money there was not one sense of compassion that our little dog was not going to be around much longer. You are not allowed to be with your dog and every thing is done over the phone. I told them that my wife did not approve the x rays and the girl said the doctor wrote that she did approve.

With no one there to see or talk to anyone they could put whatever they like on the bill I believe that is exactly what they did. X ray two times in six weeks for what?? Just to make a big bill. We are on social security and this is really hard on the budget I explained this but again not one word of compassion or offer to make even a small adjustment. Run as fast as you can to get away from this place.

I am very pleased with the level of service from Baileys. We just adopted a Chiweenie and wanted her to have a thorough check up. Everybody was so nice & caring, even though I could not go inside with her for her exam, due to the Covid-19, they office kept me apprised via phone. I am so happy we took her in because she needed expressing and her flea medication. I highly recommend Baileys if you have a pet!

After looking at some other reviews I am surprised that the people complain about how much things are. First of all, it cost a lot of money to staff a clinic like that. Not just having to pay the staff, everything else that comes with it. They take care of our animals. People complain about how long they have too wait, I am sure they are not doing it on purpose.

I'm sure they don't want people walking up and asking when they can be seen and why does it cost so much. News flash! The staff does not make the rules. There are several walk in emergency visits that come in and they go by highest priority. I had to wait 4 hours the other day but did not care since I saw the more emergency situations come in. I wish people would stay calm and realize there are some people in there losing there pets forever so people that are complaining about having to wait should be grateful they still have their fur baby.

They take the time with you when you get in the room. They helped a kitten that was left to die in the road and they did everything for it. He is fine now thanks to them. They know what they are doing. They are an amazing group of people. My sister and I brought the kitten in on Tuesday 9/10/19 and he could hardly even stand up and now he is playing with a German shepherd who loves him. Thanks Bailey for everything you do.

While camping up in Idleyld Park my dog had an injury. It was 5pm and I knew I'd have to bring her to a 24 hour vet but the closet one was in Springfield, 2.5 hours away. I then heard from our camp host that Bailey's would see dogs after hours. I called them and spoke to Karen. She was very friendly (she checked us in too) and told me that I could come in after hours.

I hopped in the car and off we went to Roseburg an hour away. Our vet (ca t remember her name) was very friendly and attentive. We were seen right away and out the door, with the problem solved, in 30 minutes. I was very happy and so was my dog. Thanks for being available!
