Dr. Doiron was extremely helpful and empathetic. She took the time to answer my questions, helping me be a more confident pet parent.
Jimmy was fantastic helping me get Ranger in and out of the car, he was super friendly & always has a warm smile!

The staff was great, especially Arika! I dropped my dog off for a grooming. When I picked him up he looked and smelling great! I've never had him smell good for so long after a bath. He's also usually afraid of groomers, but he had no problems and was very comfortable.

We don't trust just anyone with our furry family member! Averill Animal hospital always delivers and Erica is the best! The staff was so friendly and helpful! I'm a new puppy mom and was nervous about boarding them at the last minute not having met anyone from (or visited) the facility. Christina was extremely kind and helpful by phone, email, and even text! Sent me updates and, essentially, peace of mind while I was away. After 3 days and 2 nights, my two 7 month old puppies were returned to me happy and playful. There were no changes in their countenance and no signs of trauma or mistreatment. And to top it off, it was affordable! Thanks guys! We'll be back.

I really like your location also. The location is great. Parking is easy and safe to take your pet for a stroll before going in. This always calms my dog coming for his appointment. Roger receives the highest quality care expected from Averill Animal Hospital. The staff is fantastic, kind, helpful and caring. Our Kitty Flower was looking pretty thin but she was eating and drinking normally, .in fact we have neighbors that said she was hitting up other neighbors houses for "snacks". But Saturday she started looking bad and quit eating and drinking by Tuesday.we were recommended Averill Animal Hospital and they have good reviews.unfortunately Flower was too sick to treat so she had to be put to sleep but the Averill Animal Hospital staff was very compassionate and helped Flower cross the Rainbow Bridge with dignity. Although they aren't real close to us we are considering them for our other furbabies care because it's real obvious they truly care about the animals.

Just found out about Averill Animal Hospital from facebook. Spoke to Erika and she got us in for a bath and also got me a estimate for updating shots and some flea and tick pills. Erika was very outgoing and had wonderful communication. She sent me a photo of my dog after her bath and updated me on how she did with a text and a report card. Found my new vet and will definitely be back to see her again.

This vet has been the most caring, wonderful practice. We came in as new patients, with a dog that was suddenly very ill. The vets took our concerns seriously and began running tests, helping in any way they could. Our little dog is doing much better, though we are still figuring out what treatment will serve her best long term, but I honestly don't know if she would still be with us without their quick intervention. I am so grateful we found them when we did.

Arica did a wonderful job keeping our two dogs while we went out of town. You can really tell that she treats the animals as if they were her own. She makes leaving them behind while going on vacation not so bad because I know they will be receiving the best care. I cannot recommend her services enough!

This was our first visit to this clinic. Was a smooth and easy visit. They still have drive up/drop off visits in response to covid. I'm still getting used to not being with my pup during the visit and speaking with the vet via phone rather than in person. but there are pros to that as well.

Hands down the best veterinarian clinic in Atlanta. They have always been extremely helpful, professional, and provided exceptional service.

I went to this vet on 11/5/21 as my 3 y/o male cat was exhibiting signs of FLUTD. After a $300 visit where he was prescribed an antibiotic and sent home, his urethra fully blocked 24 hours later and I had to rush him to the emergency vet. The emergency vet explained my cat had been treated for a UTI (which apparently occurs in <1% of young, male cats with those symptoms) instead of FLUTD and that the vet should give me a credit for incorrect treatment.

Not this vet. I had a hell of a time even getting them to return my call on Monday to get a script for prescription food. An all-around bad experience that's reinforced my mistrust of vets in claiming they want the best for the pets they treat instead of just the cash from their owners.

My seven year old terrier mix (Izzy) has separation anxiety. The staff at Averill handle her perfectly. During her first visit the assistant sat on the floor to help Izzy calm down and gain her trust. When Dr. Baker arrived Izzy had stop shaking. I came here through a referral then realized Dr. Baker was the same Vet Izzy had 5 years ago. Izzy anxiety was always less with Dr Baker. Glad to find a place with great staff.

Averill Animal Hospital has cared for our pets for 15+ years. I trust Matthew Nelson implicitly with the health and well-being of my pets. The staff is attentive and respectful. I couldn't ask for more from a vet.

We've been to 3 vets with various (sometimes the same) issues. Averill is the only place that put 2 vets on the job to determine what the source issue was and not just treat the recurring symptoms. So grateful to know that these vets looked at the WHOLE picture and not just the one symptom we brought our kitten in for. Yes, the initial vet techs did make me feel a bit rushed when going over all the symptoms.

But when I received a call from the Dr. later that same day I did see that they had in fact captured everything I had said. Tests were required - of course - no doctor is psychic and we shouldn't expect them to be. I'm happy to get as much confirmation as we can. Their care and attention to the WHOLE animal saved us hundreds and hundreds in what we be return visits - not to mention catching his source infection early. If not for Averill his infection would no doubt have overtaken what a vet could do for our little guy in future. So grateful for good thorough doctors who really see my pet.

We have been going to Averill's for 12 years and everyone has always been kind and helpful. Jimmie and Jennifer are truly wonderful with our dogs and the Docs are very knowledgeable and conservative in their care. Our dogs are excited to go to the vet and literally drag us into the building. Whenever we have had to board them for any extended period I am confident that they are being well taken care of.

I've been taking both my current dog (Westie Bella 15 yrs old ) as well as my previous dog (Dalmatian Abby 14yrs old when passed) to Averill Animal Hospital since the early 90's. I've always been pleased with the service, professionalism and knowledge they provided. As well as attention to detail they have always given me. Dr Averill himself. As well as Dr Nelson for years. And assistant Jimmy. It's only been recent (last 2 yrs) that I've had to visit other clinics because of the distance I have to travel to get to them now. Moved further away.

I am thrilled that I found Averill. I left my other vet and brought all 3 of my dogs to see Dr. Nelson. We could not be more pleased. We love Averill and literally every staff member that we have encountered has been a delight. Great job Averill!

I didn’t get her name, but the tech that got Faith and brought her back was terrific! She let me know how Faith did with taking blood and she was thorough going over the instructions with the meds I need to give her. Dr Nelson, as always, was clear with me about Faith’s issue and answered all my questions.

Averill is the best place to board your pets. Arica and Jimmy have always taken good care of all three of my dogs and treats them as if they are there own kids. Arica always gives me text updates and sends photos of my fur kids to me as well to let me know how they are doing overall. They always come back happy and healthy. The staff at averill is wonderful and always treats you like family. Highly recommend going for all your pup's needs. I also love Dr Nelson and Dr Baker whom both are very knowledgeable and explain things in detail.

Dr. Baker and the entire staff are truly awesome!! They took care of both of pups as tho they were their own. The care and compassion they show is unmatched. I’ll definitely be a lifetime customer !

Everyone that we interacted with at Averill Animal Hospital was amazing! Everyone from the Cindy & Carly at the front desk to Jenn, Jimmy, and Dr. Averill were so friendly, honest, open, informative and down to earth. We immediately felt comfortable there, like we have known them all forever, which made leaving our 11 week old puppy with them for surgery so much easier.

They kept us updated on her and were thorough explaining everything to us from consultation to follow up visits required. They loved on and cuddled her while she was there which did our hearts good. This is the best veterinary practice we have ever been to, hands down!

I love this place! I worked there for 6 years and know the staff well. When we lived in Rome I would even drive back with my dog because I trust the level of care that much. I can’t say enough good about this office!

Over the past 6 months i have been thru quite an experience w/ my husky who tore both ACLs then broke on of those legs while healing the ACL. Dr. Nelson and the staff were so helpful and worked with me to get her back to health and while we still continue to do therapy, she is recovering like a champ!! THANK YOU!
