My fiance has been going here for years and ever since they changed management, it appears to be all about money instead of actually caring for your pet. I took my dog here last week because he wasn't eating and they were quick to charge me $800 for all sorts of tests just to get results as normal with no answers as to why he's not eating except for it being a "belly ache." Well he continued to not eat and so we took him to a different vet who was actually able to help. Avalon never even called us back after we left a voicemail saying our dog still wasn't doing well. Long story short, go to a vet that actually cares more about helping your animal.

I am very pleased with my visit for my dog! They worked him in and did everything they could to make sure he was comfortable! Then the Doctor called to check on my dog the next morning!

Excellent service for my senior dog! Thank you Avalon Family Vet for taking care of Pluto and allowing us to bring him to your clinic the same day we called. Pluto was treated with love and care. He is a figther and with the outstanding care of the great staff of Avalon Family Vet and Dr. Letizia he was able to improve on his condition. He is now happy moving his tail again and enjoying life.

I have had my cat LeLe treated for a chronic condition for months. The vets approach was to try different treatments before going to the extreme. After all options were exhausted, she had surgery. I was very nervous about it but the entire staff was very kind and reassuring that she would be okay throughout the day. They called to give me updates and when I went to pick her up, they gave great instructions for her at home care. I can't thank them enough. Great service and always outstanding care.

The service and level of care here is extraordinary. We have had multiple occasions when we needed last minute help with medical concerns for our dog Lola, and we have never been turned away and the staff has bent over backwards to ensure our baby has all the care she needs. Super friendly and engaging staff. They listen and don't just talk at you.

This business attended to my dog's needs quickly when others were unable to help immediately. They diagnosed her correctly and provided me with the information needed to move forward in treating her. Everyone was friendly and professional. I highly recommend this business to others.

I brought my dog into their office a few month's back because my dog was spitting up blood and I paid for the visit and testing on the stool. I was told that he was fine and they have checked him and the stool was fine. They claim that I declined testing and also when I called I am told it is $35.00 for the office visit and when I went in I was charged $47.00 I was just in the again around Thanksgiving and paid $253.31 a week later now my dog has blood in his stool.

I was told by Matt that the medicine that I paid for would help him just like when "we have an upset stomach and we take tums" This is how the medicine will help my dog and other then that the results are fine, My dog now has blood in his stool. When I asked them about being charged for another office visit I was told" it is like when you go to the doctor's you pay every time" However they are not resolving the problem and just talk and I am not paying for conversation that is not factual. Yet I keep paying for a visit for the same thing and that is not right. Debbie

Avalon Family Vet treats you and your pet like family! I was so impressed with the care my dog received from them. Even with COVID restrictions in place, I was made to feel included in my dog's care. I had a last minute need and not only did they work me in, but they took their time with me and my dog and explained everything. I really felt like they cared. I will be taking the rest of my pets there as well and I highly recommend them for yours!

We had a small pet emergency. Brought our dog in first thing in the morning with no appointment. The staff was ultra friendly and accommodating, making sure our pet would be seen ASAP. They were very helpful to us and attentive to the needs of our dog. Within a couple hours our dog was returned to us with the needed medication and care instructions. We could tell they were pet people for sure. 100% will be recommending them and using them again in the future.

I would trust them with any of my animals! They were there for me when my regular vet would not get me in for my kitten having horrible stomach problems and being very weak and not eating. They got me right in, gave him great care and by the next day he was doing better. I love that they did not hesitate to get us in when I called. They just care! Thank you for taking such good care of my baby!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. My cat Sylvester is my number 1 priority and they treat him the same way. He had bladder stones about two years ago, and they performed the procedure to remove them and took excellent care of him! Fast forward to this week: unfortunately Sly's blood work showed renal issues. Every single worker in this veterinary went above and beyond to treat, take care of and love him.

I live 30 minutes away now and probably have plenty of vets out here that I could switch to, but I wouldn't even think twice to do that. They are worth the drive and each penny I have. Extremely thankful for this vet and the entire staff there and would recommend them to anyone with a furrbaby.

I took my husky in within a next day appointment and a affordable payment for a tooth extraction. The staff was amazing! Every single one of them especially Maikel. They took care of my dog as if it were their own. Maikel helped me understand the process and how everything would be done with my dog and made sure I was completely aware of everything that would happen with kloe (my dog).

It made me feel really comfortable going through with the surgery! The surgery went well and my dog is doing great! I 100% recommend you bring your pet here. I felt like I was at home.

We had a great experience, everyone is very kind, they're very attentive to your pet and their needs, they really show how they aren't just a place of business, but a place that cares! My experiences in the past in other places were never this good and having a reliable Vet in my community means a lot to our family. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I have been going to Avalon Vet since they opened. I was not a fan of the former owner or staff (except Dr. Jen) but continued to go due to the convenience of the location and hours. I know many people who discontinued going there for the same reasons. I have found the new doctors and staff to be much more professional and welcoming. Dr. Morosi and Matt (Vet Tech) were so nice and great with both of my animals. I would highly recommend them!

Avalon Family Vet did an incredible job taking care of my online prescription request for my beloved dog, Sammy Davis Junior Junior. When the request wasn't received by the vet's office they called me to let me know! Turns out it was an error on the part of the online pharmacy, but Avalon stayed on top of it and got my pup the medication she needed.

They took care of someone else's error. Just one more reason that Dr Jessica Robinson is the greatest veterinarian anybody could ask for. We love her. And the entire staff there is terrific. With gratitude, George Williams

We have been going to this Vet for over 10 years. Haven't had any issues, in fact we moved out of the area but continued to use this Vet because we had a great relationship and Dr Junbenville was great with our animals. With the recent change of management and Vet I am sad to say that we will no longer bring our animals to this place. I called to ask a few very simple questions, order medication and make an appointment.

Come to find out that the management took away the wellness hours and closed one day on the weekend (that one I completely understand) but the wellness hours were beyond convenient for busy working families. While asking simple questions the person who answered the phone was rude and didn't understand what I was asking (which was: what do you have available).

Half way through the conversation she left the phone but then had a conversation with her co-worker about me! All while I was still on the phone. The co-worker then came to the phone and explained and apologized. It was then I learned of the new Vet. I had received an email previously about a new Vet but nowhere in the letter did it state that the previous Vet was no longer. The lack of professionalism should warn you away. It's sad because it really used to be a great place to take your animals.

We have bad experiences with Avalon Vet here in Avalon Park! We purchased the puppy plan and it clearly stated on the first line that exams perform at each vaccination, but when we took our puppy in for the shots, we were told no exam will be performed. On top of that, we were being charged for the shots that should be included in the puppy plan. When I pointed that out to the Technician, he argued with me and charged me anyway.

Later he did find out he was wrong and issued the refund and apologized. The neutered experience was even worse! Right after my puppy being neutered, I took him 28 hours before he peed, he also refused to walk or using his back legs for 3 days straight, after calling the Vet numerous times, the Vet couldn't help us and couldn't even offer to see our puppy just to make sure he's alright.

They insist to wait till 10 days later to see our puppy. After 5 days, my puppy managed to push the cone away to where it got stuck between his mouth, luckily we were there when it happened and was able to help him get the cone off before he choke himself to death. When the revisit day finally arrived and we took the puppy in, we asked if the Vet can also check his ear just to make sure there's no ear infection, we were told that's extra and requires additional cost just to look at the ears. It's really clear all they care about is money, not their furry patients, it would only take a minute to check the ear and the Vet still don't want to do it! Stay away if you truly care about your pet and take it elsewhere!

This clinic is loving and caring. I have had furbabies go over the rainbow bridge sometimes on their own and others euthanized. Dr. Jenn was so loving and gentle with our cats, Reesie and Thomas went it was their time. Recently I had to say goodbye to my beloved Titus due to lymphoma. He was well loved here.

What a shame that I could only give this, because the Vet, Jennifer and the Vet Tech are awesome. But the manager I had to deal with/receptionist was so rude and unprofessional. I will never take my dog back there again. What a shame! Do not take your animals there, I went from a great vet clinic to a terrible one in Avalon Park, Jennifer and that wonderful Vet Tech, go somewhere else and tell me where you went. Receptionist/so called manager, you are the absolute worse at customer service.

My puppy had a fracture and had to have a splint. He had one put in on July 27 and was asked to bring him weekly to have it change for approximately 90 dollars a week. That Wednesday (4 days only after recent splint) the splint was sliding so I called and took him to have it changed. They asked me to come to the clinic and I Was charged 85 dollars so we left the vet office by 7 pm.

The splint came off early this morning LESS Than 24 hour so my husband took my puppy at 9 an and we were charged 75 dollars! Less than 24 hour! Now I have been talking about it at work and they all said "you should have to pay again so close to yesterday " I found their behavior to be greedy! You can tell why they are in the business, it is all money!

Bad information and negligent treatment from Avalon vet office! A month ago, my new kitten tested positive for giardia parasite. Vet said it was something he could fight off on his own and prescribed fortiflora probiotics for his diarrhea. Today I took him to a different vet because his diarrhea has gotten worse. I learned that giardia causes diarrhea and can be passed to other cats and humans. Avalon vet was aware of other cats in the house.

Now I have to treat all 4 cats instead of just the 1. Do not go to Avalon vet! The only treatment they have ever recommended for any of my cats with digestive/poop issues is give them a probiotic! Shey's vet near the Tijuana Flats on Avalon Blvd is great! They opened recently and my experience there has been wonderful. Staff takes the time to explain everything and the prices are very reasonable.

Good location for Avalon Residents, I've been bringing my furry family here since for 9 years (Great Dane, Golden Doodle, and house lioness). The Drs and staff seem to care about the patient outcome. They have a "Wellness" program Thursdays from 2-4 and Sundays from 12-1 where you can bring your pet in for vaccinations with no office visit as long as they've had a health checkup. Very convenient with my new pup since I can get in and out within 15 minutes.

The staff is generally really nice but the veterinarian did not double check my pets prescription, which was filled by the office manager, and so the wrong medication was dispensed to my cat. The medication was meant for a dog and in short it made my cat sick. The only reason this oversight was discovered was because I had to call and discuss the fact that he didn't want to eat it and was throwing up. Let this be a cautionary "tail."

We have used Avalon vet since moving to the area. After multiple issues, including billing errors, I finally had enough when they dispensed the wrong medication to my elderly cat. We only discovered this because my cat was vomiting and my husband called to ask for different form of the medicine. Otherwise, we would have gone on dosing my cat with a drug that could have led to his premature death. To top it off, while some of the staff were extremely apologetic, the vet never apologized for the error or the failure to double check staff's work.

Went to vet for cat that was vomiting and had labored breathing. They took me in as an emergency right away which I liked. They took radiographs, took blood work and gave my cat oxygen. They told me he probably has a foreign body but I need an ultrasound that costs 1000$ to confirm. They don't take care credit and I don't have that type of money so they were going to send me to AVS.

I called a family friend who told me to go to Newmans in Deltona for a second opinion. They told me no signs of foreign body in radiographs and ultrasound would be 300$ but to hold off because the radiographs don't indicate he needs it right now. All in all the only positive thing I can say about Avalon is that they got me in right away but they are expensive and their bedside manner is not there. Sometimes the convenience of location is not worth it.

My husband and I are new to Orlando and when we noticed our one cat, Smokey, had what we thought as a missing tooth we saw the positive reviews and decided to take him to Avalon Veterinary Clinic. When the vet tech looked at his mouth she noticed he actually broke off his tooth. The vet also noticed he had concerning gum problems. The vet we took them too before never noticed! Smokey needed oral surgery to remove at least one tooth.

The initial appointment was on a Saturday and that Wednesday they did the oral surgery. The quality of care was amazing! The staff was so caring, friendly and great with our cats. After the surgery they sent us home with a pain medication and antibiotics. The liquid pain medication was already drawn up into single dose oral syringes; it made my life much easier.

The vet tech explained exactly how to give him the medications and to call if I had any trouble getting him to take it. The next day they called me seeing how Smokey was going. I haven't had a vet follow up with me like that before. Smokey's mouth is now healed and he's doing wonderfully. I also have to say the price was very reasonable. I've been ripped off by a vet before, and Avalon Veterinary Clinic was the total opposite. They didn't try to push unnecessary tests, procedures or products. After taking my cats here I won't take them any place else!

I don't like the fact of they don't do your pets exam, or shots in front of you. They take them in the back and leave you waiting in what I thought was the exam room. The place needs a good cleaning, and lacks love. Unfortunately won't be back.

We had been using Avalon Veterinary Clinic since 2014. We provided copies of ALL of our dog's records at our first visit. We are FED UP with them. July 2015 was over a 3 HOUR wait to be seen with an appointment. Today was well over an hour and we were tired of waiting. We got the "we're sorry" and the "thank you for your patience" meanwhile, you can hear the staff talking and joking around in the back.

To top it off. These clowns here could not even locate his records and we were instructed when WE could locate the records then bring them to their office with us next time? Wait. they had them last year? If this Veterinarian administration is this POORLY organized, I am glad we will NEVER go here again. What a bunch of ignorant incompetent people.

Our new addition to the family is now over seven months old and this has been the only vet we have used so far. They treat everyone's pet like they are their own. It's so nice to have a vet in my community. Would be good for emergencies or even regular appointments to avoid the crazy traffic of the surrounding area. They send you reminder emails about appointments, due dates, etc.

The only thing I would say is that their website isn't updated very often because they would show my dog being due for shots when she had already had them. They did tell me that they were working out their kinks and had a new doctor. Unless something changes this will be the vet we use.

Ok, So at first, I wasn't that impressed with this place. Looked small and plain. However, the staff here is incredible. My cat had to be hospitalized after having a blockage die to stress (we just moved) and a UTI. I was in and out of this place for days. Between Avalon Clinic and Veterinary Emergency Clinic from Waterford Lakes, my bills are extremely high. However, my Cat, Piojo seems to be getting better and the providers here were very patient, caring and understanding with my concerns. I will be returning here.

Took my chihuahua here for the first time and we had such a great experience. They got my pup all caught up with vaccines and were super friendly and professional. We will be using this vet as a primary moving forward. If you're looking for a great place to take your pet this is it!

This is one of the best veterinary offices I've ever been to. My husband and I have two cats, brother and sister, and we were taking them to a certain other vet's office located inside of a pet store; we eventually left after one of the doctors there squeezed out a UTI blockage from our male cat, which traumatized the poor little guy and made him unmanageable at the vet's office after that.

Everyone at the Avalon Vet Clinic is incredibly professional and helpful. Both of the cats have done really well at the offices; the last time we went, our girl cat even cuddled up to Dr. Carlos! When she started having seizures, we were able to email a video over to them and she was diagnosed right away. The office is clean and never crowded. The staff do not double book or cram the waiting room full of people.

They take their time with each pet to ensure personal treatment. They also have realistic hours and are even open on Sunday for a few hours! The pet portal website is also a fantastic resource; you can view past appointments, get reminders for upcoming treatments, and request appointments online. The medical care is very affordable as well! I did some price checking and most other offices were incredibly expensive for some pretty basic shots. All in all, I really can't say enough good things about the office. We plan on staying with them for a very long time!

My husband and I recently moved to Orlando. We did not know where to take our two dogs, so we went online and took the one with sudden facial swelling to a place with good reviews. Unfortunately, it was not Avalon Veterinary Clinic. The vet I met at the other place was very impersonal and, in my opinion, condescending. In addition, the cost for ONE tooth extraction was quoted at over $1200!

Through more scientific (!) Internet research, we stumbled across Avalon Veterinary Clinic. Besides being CONSIDERABLY (I'm yelling with relief) more affordable (less than 2/3 of the other quoted cost for a total of 3 needed extractions.yes you read that correctly--2/3 the cost for 3 times the work), the service from Dr. Ashley and Madison (front desk) was exceptional and above expectations. Dr. Ashley took the time to review preop, intraop as postop proceedings and also went into great detail for home care and also future care to prevent dental damage in our beloved pets.

After seeing vets in GA, NC and now FL, I am beyond thrilled to have found this little gem (the best I have been to in all 3 states). If you love your animals, BRING THEM HERE! You will be extremely satisfied.

I discovered Avalon Vet Clinic after "shopping around" at a few local veterinarians to no avail. What stood out about Avalon Vet was definitely their friendly and informative staff. My husband and I went by their office with our dogs to "check it out" and they showed us around their office. Dr. Langton actually sat with us for about 15 minutes showing us the office equipment and explaining the procedures they do right there in the office.

The office itself is small, but very clean and welcoming. The doctor usually has his huge Weimaranar (named Kaiser) sleeping on his plush bed behind the front desk. Their prices are pretty average compared to others in the area (we shopped around and compared). I like how the staff is honest about what your pet needs and doesn't try to push you to get unnecessary procedures. They also have a lab on site and a clean and modern operating room. If you want a clean, friendly, and affordable atmosphere - check out Avalon Vet!
