My first visit with them was amazing! They knew my dog was fearful & did everything to accommodate her. I held her while the gave her her vaccines & recommended that when I come back in for her booster in 4 weeks we do heartworm test then, so we didn't stress her too much. Fast forward to booster appointment & I'm told they will do heartworm in the back.

I push back & they insist. They bring her back & tell me they can't get heartworm test done even with muzzle she tried to bite them.she has a muzzle on, she can't bite you! Anyway I suggest again that I hold her while the take blood & I was told I can't because it's a liability issue. WTF, it wasn't the first time. Needless to say I am not happy & now my girl is not protected!

I can't say enough good things about this place. My pup was having some issues that concerned me today. I called Aspen Grove to see if I could possibly get in the same day and while I didn't expect to be able to, they surprised me. The receptionist looked through their busy schedule and found an appointment cancellation that she got me into. I got there a little before my appointment, and they had me on the phone doing the check in exactly at my appointment time.

The staff were all wonderful, kind, and animal lovers. Dr. Sarah, the vet who checked my pup out, was all of this and thorough as well. She did a fanatic job pinpointing what was going on with my dog and created a multi approach plan to get my pup back to 100%. The vet was extremely knowledgeable and everyone was very loving to the pup. Aspen Grove did everything flawlessly, just like they did a past emergency I saw them for.

These guys were so good to me and my dog. They never overcharged me. Never pushed me to spend unnecessary money. My dog was sick with cancer and when it came time to put him down I went to them and they were so kind and loving. They made an unbearable process tolerable. The doctor was with me. The nurses and front staff were so nice and even sent me a card in the mail. I will use them for years to come with my other pets. I have never had a pet clinic be so non-pushy, available, and straight up kind good people. Thank you guys.

The service was nice, but awkward and somewhat careless. They don't seem to be fans of big dogs. I've got a young belgian malinois and she was being really sweet but nervous in there and I felt like we were a threat to them in the lobby. I was just bringing her in to get her claws trimmed, and the assistant was not very personable. She just took my dog to the back, kinda handled her awkwardly and didn't a good job with trimming her claws, they were uneven and one claw had a piece of it hanging off.

The receptionist was not very personable as well. I also came to get a Larimer pet license and explained to her why I needed it and she didn't seem to care that much. She actually said technically you don't need one, but according to park rangers here you do. It just wasn't a comfortable experience and I will be choosing CSU Vet from now on.

We've been looking for a new vet clinic to take our babies. Misha gets real nervous. We took her to Moore Animal Hospital... and that was fine and all but they were expensive and Misha hated going there. We finally found Aspen Grove Vet. We had Dr. ASH and our very own Tech Kat.
Misha was still nervous but not nearly as nervous as Moore.
Dr ash was very informative and honest.

She checked out my baby fluff thoroughly and made sure to be slow and gentle with her. Of course our Tech was professional and sweet to Misha and helped her feel safe. We already have an appt for Ziggy. On to better things!!!!

We drove from out of state to get emergency care for our dog. They immediately triaged her and found a way to get her seen quickly. While they weren't able to do her surgery, our veterinarian coordinated everything with another clinic and got us set for the next phase of our journey. They were very, very up-front and clear about pricing. More than that, though, we were treated with a huge amount of kindness and compassion, and I felt like the whole staff went out of their way to help and do more than they were required to do. We're so grateful, as it was really a horrible time for us, but I believe Aspen Grove played a huge role in saving our dog, Roxy's, life. Thank you guys!

I had to take my pet in for an urgent care visit she had a laceration on her ear. They got her in at 4:30 in the afternoon and I knew I would have to pay the extra fees and was fine with that. She had to be put under for the procedure because it was a bad laceration and she did great I picked her up at about 8:15. I received good instructions about the medication's to give to her and so far she is doing great. Dr. Bobby and his crew are always pleasant and do a great job.

I had been struggling to find a vet that is affordable, yet serious and professional for months now. I can be picky about what I want out of an experience for my cats when I go to the vet, and I loved the most recent visit my cats had. I had to board some of my cats for an day not too long ago to get some work done in the apartment, and I did not want them to stress while at home with the noise.

They were behind on vaccinations, but Aspen Grove was willing to get them caught up and let them stay at their boarding facility. The cats came back just fine, and I was so happy with the flexibility of the team and facility to take them in and give them an appointment so quickly with such short notice! My other cats just went in to get a quick wellness check and vaccinations and I was so happy with the building and the staff.

While social distancing and wearing proper face coverings, I could go in for these exams. The cat and dog entrances are separated so reduce stress for the animals, and the staff was attentive and quick to help me. The nurse and doctor were kind and gentle with my cats who were quite spooked by people walking by, and never rushed them. They even got to try some baby food to help distract them from the poke!

I already knew what my cats needed to get when I walked in, and I was happy and pleased that none of the staff tried to push more suggestions or procedures onto me than what I had expected. The paperwork I received also had a suggested re-exam date in a year to get their booster shots. I'm also so thankful that in a time of social distancing, I could be with my cats during this and help relax them more.

I'm glad that I have found a place that offers urgent care, dental, boarding, and general exams all in one place for my cats. Thank you Aspen Grove team for continuing to support animal well-being and their humans, all at a price that doesn't break the bank with amazing and attentive service! I'm so glad to be a client, and I'm looking forward to more vet visits and stays with you in the future knowing my cats will get the most out of their lives thanks to you all :

We are visiting Fort Collins for the month and needed to have our dogs seen while here. We got an appointment the same day, were seen promptly, treated and sent home with appropriate meds. Pricing is completely reasonable, as well. The staff could not have been nicer and more gentle with our dogs. What a great experience away from our hometown!

THIS TEAM IS AMAZING! From the front desk to the nurses to the doctors, this office is one of the most professional and caring group of animal lovers I have ever met. This office was recommended to me by my previous vet in Eagle, CO and I am so thankful for that. Since our first visit, this team has been so kind to me and my dog and very understanding of pet owners like myself who love our pets as much as our children.

Today I had an appointment to bring my dog in for a regular checkup. What was not scheduled was that my dog (for some reason) was up all night sick with diarrhea. Then, right as we walk into the office, he started vomiting. To top it all off, the office was SLAMMED. and I mean super busy. It was just one of those days where nothing was going right for anyone.

Despite everything, the entire staff maintained a cheery attitude, took extra time with my dog and ran extra tests to find out what was causing him to be so sick and were very kind and responsive in their communication with me. I felt bad for taking up a room for so long, especially in this time of reduced capacities as a result of Covid, but they assured me that it was no big deal and that my dogs health was/is important to them.

They always follow up, they always help with paperwork for our insurance company and I can't stress enough that they are always kind and understanding. As a final note, their prices are very fair, especially when you consider the high level of service they provide. Thank you Aspen Grove Veterinary Care! I will recommend you to anyone and everyone!

My dog needed a pretty routine surgery on his eye. My primary vet couldn't do the surgery for almost a month and I looked everywhere to find someone who could do the surgery sooner. I found Aspen Grove and I was very excited when I saw the estimate. The only good thing about Aspen Grove was the pricing. The women that work the front desk are rude!

I brought him in for the pre op check up and the vet scheduled the surgery. Two days later I got a call from them saying they needed to move the surgery. The reasoning? There was a staff meeting that conflicted. I said fine and rescheduled. A few days later I get called again asking to reschedule. The surgery itself went well. Then they had me come in two weeks post op for a check up, not a big deal.

The vet said I did not need to come back for a recheck. A few days later the front desk calls asking to schedule an appointment for a recheck. I was confused but scheduled it anyways. Over the next five days, I received 3 different calls asking me to schedule a recheck (the one I had already scheduled). On the third call I cancelled the appointment. I'm never taking my dogs back there. The ladies at the front desk are rude and unprofessional.

Aspen Grove Veterinary Care has been a wonderful place for our puppy! We use the puppy plan, kennel service at their new cabins & their doggie day care once in a while. Remi is always happy to visit her friends at Aspen Grove. They are also a community focused business that is making a difference with their Realities For Children Business Membership. THANK YOU.

I brought my dog here today for the first time. We scheduled an appointment to get her nails clipped. I explained prior to the appointment that my dog is nervous with getting her nails clipped and it might take extra hands when dealing with her. I explained we had taken her once before to a vet in Texas and they got it done efficiently with four people and a muzzle (even though she doesn't bite it was for safety precaution) And it was only $13 dollars. SO, today I brought her in of course nervous for her and when the nurse came out my dog raja already started acting very scared and was not wanting to even go inside the office. THAT should have been a clue right then it wouldn't work with them.

There was no first initial greeting to make my dog feel comfortable with the nurse. It was very rushed and the nurse immediately dragged my dog into the office while I had to wait outside. Raja came out 15 minutes later panicking! So scared and ran into our car. The nurse let us know that it didn't go well and they couldn't finish the job and only got a couple nails.

I understood and said it was okay and thanks for trying. The nurse then told me raja was very difficult and even peed all over and was really hard to tame. My dog has never been THAT nervous that she peed herself. She was traumatized. The nurse then told me it won't get done fully unless they put her down on some sort of medication. I understood and drove off. NOW, for not getting the job done I would expect to get half the price of payment for trying but I got UPCHARGED for my dog causing a mess with the pee and having to use more nurses to hold her down.

How does that make any sense? This place traumatized my dog and they didn't even get the job done and then over charged me for the trouble. I really didn't want to pay at all because of the state my dog was in and especially her nails being partially clipped to where it probably is more painful now for her nails. Now I can't go to a vet again because my dog won't be able to after this experience.

My dog got it done before and it was fine, yes she was nervous but the staff and environment made her comfortable enough they could do the job. So my question is why couldn't this place do their job? And if they couldn't they could have told me they can't perform this and not charge me at all!

We were so relieved and happy to find Dr Cawthron and Aspen Grove Vet Care. We adopted a wonderfully goofy, extremely anxious hound dog who's heartworm test was positive. We've dealt with heartworms before and they're not to be taken lightly. They're also not very common in Colorado(thankfully). Because of this we were having a hard time finding a vet with enough experience treating heartworms to make us confident and comfortable.

And yes, that includes CSU. Then we found Dr Cawthron. Having worked in a heartworm heavy state, his knowledge and experience was exactly what we wanted and needed. We were heartened beyond belief! Now, after his treatment and four month follow up test, our goofy hound dog is heartworm free! It can be a long and stressful treatment, the entire staff at Aspen Grove were incredibly kind and did everything they could to lessen our anxiety and our dogs.

I've taken my cat here twice, once for boarding and once for his annual checkup and shots. We had a great experience both times. Their boarding area for cats is nice and clean. They were happy to show me where my cat had spent his day and very kind and friendly. He didn't seem stressed after the experience. For his checkup, they took us straight back to the exam room which was nice because it reduced noise of other animals.

They also have separate entrances for cats and dogs which is cute. We saw Dr. Bobby who was very nice and professional. He answered all of my questions and the exam didn't feel rushed. He also gave good advice about weight loss and introducing a new pet to our household. I felt the cost wasn't bad for an exam and two shots. They also send you reminder emails when your pet needs a vaccine and follow up emails the next day to make sure they're doing okay.

Aspen Grove staff are amazing, the facilities are clean and new and they are up to date on technology. The staff even remembers my former dog, and really go above and beyond on each visit. I am always able to get appointments in a reasonable time, and in the case of urgent visits they are very accomodating. Attached pictures are from when Aspen Grove was nice enough to remove cheatgrass from of a paw on 4th of July weekend.

I want to say first that after reading the negative reviews left about this vet clinic I was almost convinced I was looking at reviews for a completely different clinic. Had I read these before I probably never would've come here and I am very glad that was not the case. My pitbull, Jagger, had recently damaged one of his nails to the point that the quick was exposed which is obviously VERY painful.

After it had almost completely healed itself, somehow it was re-opened and damaged even further (I think he did it after a combination of obsessive licking/chewing). Anyways, I brought Jagger in on a Friday afternoon to get an opinion on what treatments were available to help him. I was told they did not have any open appointments, which is completely understandable and I had assumed that would be the case before showing up, but I was told they could get me in the very next day in the afternoon.

While making the appointment/giving my information an older male dog showed up and was barking aggressively, which made Jagger extremely anxious and quickly became a situation I was also uncomfortable in. The receptionist quickly brought Jagger and I back behind their desk to help calm him down while a nurse took the other dog into another room which completely diffused the situation.

When I came back the next day the receptionist remembered his name, my name, and the fact that he was in for an issue with his nail. The vet sat down with me to discuss his options as well as the fact that our previous vet (which I will NEVER return to) had changed Jagger's vaccination records to look like he was due for multiple vaccines. She helped me figure out which vaccines he actually needed, and gave me information on allergy treatments after noticing he had a few flare-ups on his stomach without pressuring me to purchase any expensive allergy formula food or medication.

After discussing treatment options I chose to have the nail removed without cutting it (less painful option) with numbing, after about 10 minutes the vet came back in and said she did not feel comfortable as he was clearly in a lot more pain than we had anticipated. She let me know upfront how much it would cost to fully sedate him and remove the nail completely, she also told me that she would not charge me for the first round of numbing as that had been her recommendation. 10 minutes later she came in and let me know that he was waking up and doing well, but she wanted him to be closer to being fully awake before releasing him just to be safe.

Pet care is expensive and not always expected, after reading the other reviews it is clear to me that some people were more upset over the outcome of their animal's health than the actual vet clinic. Obviously, people make mistakes but I wouldn't take someone's angry review as a perfect idea as to the care you will receive here. Overall I was impressed with the level of genuine concern for my pet and honest communication about treatments/price. For surgery being a mildly stressful situation to begin with, it was an awesome experience. I have a strong feeling I will be returning in the future.

I recently adopted a cat who had a few medical problems. I wanted to get him looked at right away. Aspen Grove was able to give me an appointment very quickly. Then I needed to bring him back the following week for something else. Dr. Donnelly and Dr. Cawthron were both very helpful and informative and put my mind at ease about the medical issues and how to treat him. The rest of the staff are friendly as well. I highly recommend this vet.

A shout out to the staff and vets at AGVC! I discovered Dr. Julia and team one evening, after hours, while experiencing a bit of an emergency with my bulldog a few weeks ago. They were amazing! Calmed my fears, checked him out and followed up the next day. Today, I took the little man in for an allergy check and were received by the gals up front like old friends. Dr. Julia thoroughly checked him out, offered me options for his treatment and educated me about all of them. I'm so impressed with everyone there and while a vet visit is never fun for us or our fur babies, AGVC goes the extra mile to make sure we are all ok! Thank you! Ax loves his Dr!

We love Aspen Grove Vet! Our dog goes to doggy daycare once a week and he comes home exhausted and happy. We also use Aspen Grove for over night boarding, we always know our dog is well cared for while we are out of town. We've seen Dr. Bobby and Dr. Julia for annual check ups as well as for urgent care visits. The vets and nurses all make our anxious rescue pup feel comfortable during his visits.

Our family will never use Aspen Grove again and I recommend that no one else does either! Today my mom and I took my 8 year old dog in today for an eye injury. The associate veterinarian was actually nice (compared to our last experience with the lead veterinarian there who is really shady). The nurse vet person(Abby) decided too come into the room after they were washing out my dogs eye and treat me and my mom as if we were terrible people.

This office has a very negative vibe and the employees are very negative and tell you that your pet is dying EVERY DAMN TIME. They make you feel as if you shouldn't own a pet. PLUS it is so expensive for shitty work at best. Just a terrible place. If you do go make sure your pet is perfectly healthy unless you want to be told to put your pet down. They recommend putting your animals down all the time. They don't care about animals.

The care we received was awesome, however I was disappointed when our puppy was given back to us reeking of cigarette smoke. our family is allergic to cigarette smoke and it was pretty offensive. I called and complained and was told that none of the staff smoked, which I know was a flat out lie, the girl who was caring for our baby stunk like smoke even her breath smelled like cigarettes. anyway, care was awesome, overpriced and other than the stinky vet tech this place did a good job. we probably wouldn't go back though. I'm pretty sure the animals don't like smelling like cigarette smoke either especially since they are there to feel better.

I took my dog to them after she started to have neurological problems. The vet said it would effect her mobility but that was the extent of it. She prescribed her pain killers and a neurological pain killer and sent us home. After a couple days and my dog started to act more and more lethargic and started to have breathing problems. We called the vet back and she said just to decrease the meds.

We did and after a few more days and a steady decline in health we called them back and expressed our concern about her increased difficulty in breathing and lethargy and they said that it wasn't an issue and just to call them back after the weekend. She died that night in my arms.

Our 4 year old Great Pyrenees spent four nights at Aspen Grove & loved it. It was his first time staying over at a kennel that was not just at Grandma's house. Very affordable at only $28/night. They keep the dogs active for hours, which is great for our little man. He must have lost 5 pounds just from sprinting back & forth in the runs & playing with the other dogs.

The only down side was pick-up times on the weekends. had to pick him up before noon if we did not want to get charged another day. We returned home on Saturday at 9PM, but had to have my brother-in-law pick our dog up before noon so that we were not charged for another night.

I had been taking my dog to the CSU Vet Hospital for the first 3 years of her life before finding Aspen Grove. While I enjoyed the prices and large facility at CSU, I wanted a more personable experience and a vet that would remember each visit. The staff at Aspen Grove has not only been personable and warm, but their love and knowledge about pets has exceeded my expectations.

I fully trust their judgement with my dog and have always been well informed about all treatment plans and options. I was so excited when I learned they received the award for small business of the year because they totally deserve it! I will continue to take my dog here as long as we live in Fort Collins and highly recommend everyone looking for an exceptional vet to visit this clinic!

Not sure what the other reviews are about but I have been taking my labs here since they were puppies. I have literally never had a bad experience with the vets. The place is always clean and it seems like the staff truly cares for the animals rather then just caging them. Ive never boarded here so I cant say much for that but the dogs I see seem to be happy and well fed.

I will say that I took one of my labs to the grooming salon once and I felt like he was a little rushed through but nothing I wouldn't get at Petco or any other big box. All in all I think they are a pretty great vet.

We took our dog here to board for a few days - never again! Our dog is not aggressive but prefers female humans to males and is not friendly with other male dogs. We checked this place out and said that is all good. When we dropped him off my wife was trying to explain that he prefers female handlers to male as a male handler rushed him out back. The handler went to reach to remove the collar immediately, no petting or getting to know time and was bitten.

Our dog has never bitten anyone before, especially now a professional handler that should know how to deal with dogs and recognize the signs. On returning from our trip we were informed that we had been charged an extra $10 a day to have our dog kept in solitary confinement! What really ticked us off is that when we got home we found a bottle of drugs in his food container.

They had been drugging him with out consulting us. We now use Rover's Ranch and our dog loves it. They even pair him with dog types that he will get on with so he gets to socialize while there.
