I started using Armadale based on a recommendation from my mother who has been using them for years. I switched to them when my large mixed breed had bone cancer. Most wanted to throw in the towel, but the Drs at Armadale gave me options while also being honest about Bailey's prognosis. They amputated his leg and my 100 pound boy was running on 3s enjoying life for another year.

Throughout this time, Armadale tracked his progress and, in the end, provided everything I needed to keep him comfortable at home for his final days. Bailey is gone, but we have a new GSD under their care. So compassionate and caring as well as knowledgeable and professional!

Armadale Pet Hospital is the best thing that has ever happened to my amstaff/ boxer two year old mix. My dog was six for the majority of her life with no answers as to why. I took her to Armadale and they were able to diagnose the issue into two days! My dog was also sick with diarrhea for a long time on another occasion. She got treated at Armadale and was showing great signs of improvement after one day. The staff there is extremely helpful and really care about your fur babies! This is the best place to take your pets!

It may be time for me to move on to another Vet. This place somehow figures out a way to get at least $300 a visit out of me every time I bring my dog in for a simple exam or nail trim. First they initially just started raising prices every time he went in for a nail trim, then they insisted he needed to be put on medication to get a nail trim. Then they said he needed to be put completely under.

This most recent visit I brought my dog in for a checkup exam and they said he should try Cytopoint.on top of the already $150 worth of other charges. After leaving once again spending $300.my dog is still itching every day and im out another $150 on top of the already very expensive apoquel which I order online because Armadale charges over twice the price for it.

So i call to mention the dog is itching and they said I will have to use the apoquel AND cytopoint?! Strange how this wasnt mentioned and now im spending well over twice what i was paying and he is suffering more than he was. This place will empty your wallet every time you go in there.

Armadale is amazing - I came in with a laundry list of concerns about my pup, and I felt very heard as each one was addressed individually by the vet. They gave accurate diagnoses and made both me and my pup feel super comfortable. I've worked with Dr. Bonifant and Dr. Diener, and both of them have been amazing. Can't recommend enough!

I have been taking my fur babies (Calvin, Finn and Rosie) here for a couple years now and I cannot recommend Armadale enough. It is still the best veterinarian hospital I have ever experienced. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and goes the extra mile to meet my animals' needs and address any concerns I have. I can't list a favorite vet because they are all exceptional. I would give more stars if I could.

I have been taking my Sheltie here since she was a puppy. She's had a variety of issues and sicknesses and the Vets and staff always provide exceptional service. I trust Armadale with the health and veterinary care of my dog. I will admit they are not the cheapest option, but they are well worth it!

Attentive and efficient technicians and front desk assistants, as well as patient and knowledgable veterinarians. Wife and I have taken our dog separately one time each, and both of us agree it was the best vet experience either of us has had.

I just adopted little 8-wek-old Grayson. On his first wellness visit, Dr. Amy Lehman sat on the floor with him and played with him as she explained, in detail, the care I needed to provide for this 4-pound fluff-ball. She explained to expose him to many experiences during certain time periods to avoid phobias, how to protect him from viruses and bacteria, the pros and cons of some vaccines, and how my homemade diet plan (baked chicken, sweet potato, carrot bits, peas, and green beans) was good, but lacked organ meat (which I don't want to home cook. ick), so gave me an easy alternative diet plan (good dry food with sprinkles of the food I mentioned) (dog eats like a king). Armadale will take care of my dog Grayson for the next decade and a half.

We feel we're in good hands. UPDATE: Grayson is now almost 3 years old, and I've still been happy with Armadale Animal Hospital. They send postcards in the mail and email reminders of upcoming care that's needed, and the reception staff is always pleasant. Grayson is a healthy little boy with no issues. The only "issue" was that he had a baby tooth what was stuck on his adult tooth, so he needed minor day surgery.

They performed that well. They said he'd be groggy the rest of the day, but Grayson returned back to his crazy self within hours after the surgery, running around the house like a nut (with a ball in his mouth). He's a happy and healthy little beast, and I feel that Armadale will help him stay that way.

Have always had great experiences at Armadale with my two dogs. They are wonderful with them, honest, caring, and thorough. They are on top of their routine/preventative care (even when I am not) and have been able to fit my dogs in promptly for injuries/emergencies to be taken care of when needed. In what can be a stressful and challenging field, I am so grateful for all the staff and doctors and for all they do for our fur babies! Thank you!

I moved here a year ago and couldn't imagine bringing our Great Dane anywhere else. The staff is beyond accommodating and so sweet. I was worried about how big our dog is (230 pounds) and getting neutered but they were so professional and handled our dog amazingly. Dr Walker is awesome and I would highly recommend!

We have been going to Armadale for 17 years. They love our babies the way we love them. Whenever one of the dogs has had any issue they will call in follow-up to check on them. If I can't go with my dog (my husband may take her) they will call and give me a report (they understand my medical background and want to make sure my questions are answered0. Dr. Sawyer loves our Chloe.

We have been going to Armadale for almost 15 years. The service that has been provided has always been top notch. We recently had to put our Bailey to rest and the professionalism, service and thoughtfulness. every staff member to us was beyond stellar. When the time comes to have another animal in our house, Dr walker and staff will be my choice. Thank you for all you have done!

I went to Armadale Animal Hospital for 15 years. Today I had to say goodbye to my sweet rescue dog. Dr Lehman provided the most outstanding and professional services. When we decide to get another dog, we will definitely be back with the Armadale family. Thank you for all the wonderful years.

Just brought my puppy home on Sunday and she ended up getting sick prior to her scheduled "first visit". I called Armadale and they got me in same day to get her all fixed up! The team was so attentive and caring! Very excited I chose this vet.

When we had to put our granddog, Sam, down, Dr. Walker and Courtney were so kind and loving to Sam and us. They talked quietly to him and told him what a good dog he was. The vets and technicians also cared for him for 7 years, always lovingly. We cannot thank them enough.

Need at least five more stars! Referred after a really horrendous experience with another local Veternary clinic. Had to take my Lab to NC State emergency hospital on referral of my friend and vet in Florida when I called him for advice, he contacted someone there that he knew personally. Did so immediately but very unfortunately the time lapse to treat his condition was too late and didn't get to bring him home. Inquired for a Vetenary reference since we had recently moved here from Florida. Dr Walker @ Armadale was the recommendation and was there the next day with an appointment for my other two Labs (one Harley's sibling).

Some eleven years later and several visits for the miscellaneous medical needs and checkups, I am convinced there is no better animal hospital on the planet! That includes the entire staff of doctors and office workers, simply amazing! A few years ago Dr Walker performed major surgery on 'Scooter' (Harley's sibling) to remove a large cancerous tumor and done so very successfully! There's more, a lots more actually but want to share that in 2013 I rescued a Boxer / Pit mix that was super abused and needed pretty much the medical gamete including infestation of heart worms.

This is 2018 and 'Bouncer' is a happy and thriving member of our family along with our other lab 'Buddie' that will be fifteen on Jan 4th 2019. Dr Walker and his staff truly care about the health of your pets and no one will do a better job to care for them, NO ONE! JT Thomas

The staff was friendly helpful, some of the best care and concern I ever had! For one word wonderful! But the vet was an impatient, forceful and finally nasty man! I was there 1 1/2 hours and he said "he did NOT HAVE TIME FOR MY DOG." I should go somewhere else." He was visibly pushy and upset I did not have complete records for my dog's life.

I have moved and things have been left behind however, a professional health care provider does NOT REFUSE CARE TO A HUMAN. They trust your verbal history and go from their, professionally with good health examination and trained knowledge. He was busy and did not want to allow his long term patients to wait longer. They with top line breeds and rich cars in the lot. It's about the money money money.

He Just ran me out the door like I was insignificantly. And that's how I felt. Three of his assists had cared for my pet with kindness and thoughtfulness. But isn't it strange my pet got visibly confused and scared when Dr Walker tried to approach him, could it have been because I was broken down totally in tears and confusion.

We have been coming to Armadale since our now 16 year old dog was a pup. We needed Armadale today for an emergency and not only were we seen right away, but ALL team members were compassionate, caring, and attentive. First time seeing Dr. Lehman and I cannot say enough good. Thanks for all you do and for showing such love and kindness today to my ole' girl, Sydney.

Thanks for literally begging us to bring our dog in for an emergency visit and then giving us the run around for 2+ hours and finally not seeing our dog. We initially loved this vet but were put off by one of. the doctors affect. We requested to be seen by another doctor in the practice (standard practice for people) and obviously this ticked someone off.

After that, staff kept making excuses and sending in new employees to try and run us off. Finally, the front desk woman (who begged us to bring our dog in), told us we could see someone else if we wanted to. That was quite enough and we left the office with a very sick dog. I'd like to know why it is such a crime to specify a provider you.

So nice & took care of my cat even when he was being so rude haha. I had to wait about 30 minutes past my appointment time before I was seen, but everyone was so kind and caring that it wasn't a problem at all. Very clean! Can't recommend more highly!

We absolutely LOVE Armadale animal hospital. The vets there are magnificent. We have been through the loss of a pet with Armadale and the support is amazing. The vets are very good about doing what they can to help maintain your pets health and are also very helpful with presenting various options for caring for your pets condition. We love the family of Armadale Animal Hospital!

I wish I had discovered Armadale years ago! This is hands down the most professional, compassionate, knowledgable vet I have experienced. The staff is so friendly and kind; Ashleigh even texted my updates and sent me pictures of my Abby when she had surgery! Dr. Novak and Dr. Walker are wonderful. They really take the time to sit down and talk to you; it's obvious how much they care about you as well as our pet.

Oh and the prices are incredible reasonable. I feel confident that my dog is receiving quality care, and I'm not being pushed into unnecessary tests, treatments, etc, not am I being overcharged. I do not have enough positive things to say about Armadale! Thank you for taking care of my critter, and me :

New to the Raleigh area, so of course I checked out reviews for a great animal hospital. Armadale was impressive from the moment we walked in the door! Beautiful location, extremely warm and friendly receptionists, and wonderful personal attention shown by both the veterinary technician and Dr. Novak. The prices are also extremely reasonable. Throughout the entire visit, we (and our furry friend) felt comfortable and in good hands. Looking forward to establishing a long-lasting relationship!

I really am loving this place! I have another vet which is further from my home, but I must say Armadale is winning me and my dog over. They are always so accomodating to getting me in for any emergency or just a routine nail trim or anything. Doctors take time to call me the next day to check on my dog, which is really great service in my eyes. They show real genuine concern each and every time. The front desk staff are always so helpful and see so so friendly. Thanks so much. Sincerely, Karen Dodge

Armadale Animal Hospital is the BEST! Have been going there with my three Shih Tzus for close to ten years and have always been very satisfied. Have had the opportunity to see all the doctors from time-to-time and they are the friendliest and most caring doctors I've ever seen. (I wish my doctors were as good!) The office staff is by far the best as well!

I don't know every ones name, but Lisa has always been there for me and I appreciate her very much. I recently had to send my eldest to Heaven and everyone there was so respectful, kind, gentle and caring. They made a very difficult time bearable. Thank Armadale for everything! Tina B

We've been very happy with the care our cats have received at Armadale. The receptionists, technicians, and veterinarians have all been very friendly and helpful. I liked the practice we used in Chicago, but I'm pleased that Armadale doesn't give me the mild "up-sale" feeling we'd occasionally have there. I also appreciated the personal touches in the follow-up emails. Highly recommended.

I've been very happy taking my dog & 3 cats to Armadale for about 3 years now. I've met with 3 of their 4 vets and been very happy with all of my experiences. I usually see Dr. Novak or Dr. Walker and they are both very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to spend time with me & pets. I'm always seen promptly and never feel like I'm being rushed out of the office.

The office staff and vet techs are also very friendly and helpful. They are a bit more expensive than my last vet, but totally worth it! I'm very thankful I found a vet that I'm so happy with!

We just got a new puppy, and we were referred to this facility by a friend of ours who has several pets himself. He is super protective of his dogs, so my wife and I knew that if he recommended a veterinary care facility, it had to be good and and Armadale Animal Hospital certainly is good. Their entire staff is very friendly and after two visits knew us and our dog Bandit by name.

Each time we have been there we are promptly sent to a examination room where an intern from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine performs a initial examination (i.e. weight, looks through his coat, and takes his temperature.yikes!) and shortly thereafter the Vet, Dr Sawyer comes in. She is great with him, performs a unrushed examination of Bandit, distracts him with some treats as they give him a shot, and answers any questions we have patiently.

Some personal physicians I have seen in the past could learn from her bedside manner. Thanks to our friend's recommendation, we have found a keeper for any and all future veterinary needs that our pup Bandit may have. If you're in need of a vet for your new pet or in search of one because you're unhappy with who you take your pet to now, go visit the Armadale Animal Hospital. You will be doing your pet and your piece of mind a favor.

Armadale continues to be my #1 choice based on their continued all-around customer service, standard of care, and most importantly compassion. At a recent annual check-up, we discussed my dog having his teeth cleaned. I knew they offer this procedure, but it has always seemed a bit pricey. They did not in any way push me towards it, but they did inform me that depending on when I could schedule the cleaning, the blood work would remain current and "count" for that procedure - in essence, saving me a lot of $. Sold!

In no way, shape or form have I ever felt pressure from them - they simply present the facts for you to determine what's right for your pet and when. I'm very happy with both the results and post-procedure follow-up. The Doctor sent me a personal email summarizing the procedure and provided direct contact information if there had been any concerns or complications.

This attention to detail and personal care is really exceptional - even at times exceeding what we humans can get! Two thumbs (and four paws!) up. Kudos again. Thank you all.
