Dr Peters may have saved my dog's life! I will be forever grateful. I brought her in with an ear infection. We came back for Dr. Peters to make certain the infection was gone. He looked at Molly and said she looked a little bloated. I had noticed nothing. He felt around to find what he thought was a mass on her spleen. He was absolutely correct. A 4" x 5" mass on her spleen. It had to be removed along with a small amount of her small intestine. The mass turned out to be benign. She never acted like anything was wrong but is now acting like a puppy rather than a 9 year old dog. She must have been so uncomfortable. If Dr. Peters hadn't noticed the swelling, who knows what would have happened!! Thank you so much!!

I couldn't be more appreciative – if you have a pet on the Main Line, you should be coming here!

Customer Testimonials

We have been bringing our Max here for 6 years. Dr. Montgomery and her staff are the best. They greet you w smiles and always say hi to the pets too, as soon as you walk in. Yesterday when I picked Max up they had an electric candle lit, in honor of a client currently saying goodbye to their beloved pet. They asked for quiet voices out of respect. I have never ever seen such an amazing act of animal compassion. I bawled like a baby right there (for the family, the doggy, for pets I have lost and for what I will need to do again, but not for a looooong time). They comforted me and maintained their professionalism and understanding of my feelings. I wish I could give unlimited stars for these people. Thank you.

Have been going to Ardmore Animal Hospital for about 20 years! Love how much the entire staff takes time to understand our Harley, and put him at ease! Harley is now 16 1/2, and had a special relationship with Dr. James Peters. We will miss Dr. James Peters very much. Charlie and I wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Dr. Montgomery has cared for three of our guinea pigs and she is so great with them! It's so great having a vet that knows guinea pigs well! The staff there is so nice. I really trust them with my fur babies.

This review is specifically for Dr. Attermeier (although all of the staff at Ardmore have been fantastic to deal with). We had our two golden retrievers in last evening (one being a new puppy, her first visit) and Dr. Attermeier took care of us. We have had some pretty poor encounters with vets in the past (not at Ardmore) and Dr. Attermeier stood out from the moment we met him. Not only is he extremely thorough and intelligent, he was very compassionate and answered any and all questions we asked. He did not rush us, he did not push expensive and unnecessary procedures. He was very conservative and honest. FINALLY we have found a doctor we can say we trust and feel 100% confident in. We will request Dr. Attermeier for all future visits. He was simply amazing. Followed up today on lab results (which were all normal too) whereas in the past would never hear back from the office.

Ardmore Animal Hospital offers our pet patients pain management services. Pet pain management includes various procedures, medications, and rehabilitative exercises to relieve a pet's suffering or pain. Pain management is beneficial to the animal because it improves the recovery process and reduces pet stress. It can also increase the quality of life for an animal and may lengthen an animal's life span.

If your pet is in good health, preventative care is the best way to ensure he or she stays that way for years to come. At Ardmore Animal Hospital, we recommend annual routine wellness exams for younger pets, and more frequent exams for older pets or those who have experienced health problems in the past. For senior pets, our bi-annual exams will also include lab work. Unfortunately, our pets age must faster than we do. In fact, they age nearly seven times faster than their human parents, which is why it's even more important that they get the check-ups they need.

Keeping your pets healthy starts right away, and one of the best ways to protect them from diseases is with vaccinations. At Ardmore Animal Hospital, we offer a wide range of vaccines for dogs and cats. It's important that when you first bring your new kitten or puppy home, you bring them in for their initial set of vaccinations. The veterinarian will follow up with immunizations in the future if they are necessary to maintain your pet's defenses against a particular health concern. Vaccines work by delivering a small dose of deactivated bacteria or viruses into your pet's body.

Spay and neuter surgeries are an important part of preventative veterinary care here at Ardmore Animal Hospital. The procedure is beneficial to your pet to improve their health and behavioral conditions. Spaying and neutering your pet also helps maintain the pet population. Our veterinarian will discuss the importance of this procedure with you and how it will improve your pet's health. Spay and neuter surgeries here at Ardmore Animal Hospital are safe, routine procedures that come with many benefits, not the least of which is lengthening your pet's life.
