Our family found a very sick cat and we took brought her in. The staff was very supportive with our decision making, giving us a lot of options to try and being available daily if needed to bring her in. I really like that they're open on Saturday's and late on weekdays making it easier to get her in. She has made a miraculous turn around and is now a very loving member of our family!

The staff is great. I brought a kitten I rescued from animal control and he's all set on his vaccines. I brought my anxious mini poodle for grooming and they did a great job with her.

We had an overall good experience visiting the clinic for the first time. We ended having our pup tested for heart worm, which resulted in a negative result. The only comment/frustration we have, was being charged (upfront for the heart worm prescription ) before the results came back. ( negative) So now we're out $25 for a prescription we won't be using, seeing our puppy tested negative.

Overall staff were friendly. Probably won't be our first choice in choosing pet care again, since our bill was $350 for first round of puppy shots / with an exam. Your money is better off spent at a walk in clinic.

I have been going to Animal Medical since we got our puppy Basil in November 2020 and they are a fantastic vet! From the pleasant customer service and responsiveness, to the vets, vet technicians, assistants- everyone I have interacted with has been amazing (and very patient given we have a difficult dog!). She recently was spayed and the surgery went well and I sincerely appreciate all they have done to take care of our puppy given the amount of times she decides to eat everything she isn't supposed to and we have had to take her to get checked out! I can't say enough about the vet practice and highly recommend them!

When we got our first puppy I asked my neighbors for recommendations for Vets. AMH @Glenwood came highly recommended by a few of my neighbors and I'm glad I chose this facility to take care of our puppy. I've only been here twice so far but the staff at AMH of Glenwood are incredible. Everyone I've had the pleasure of speaking to/interacting with has been so welcoming and professional.

I've been in the medical field for close to 15 years now and I wish people who were taking care of humans could be as warm and attentive as the staff at AMH @ Glenwood! I am so glad I chose AMH @ Glenwood and Dr. Watkins and all the staff have been great.

My Pomeranian fell down the stairs and dislocated her hip. Other vets wanted to perform an FHO to fix the issue, but instead Glenwood was able to pop it back in and she was up and walking that day. They also noticed that the first vet misdiagnosed her issue and was able to properly treat our pup. They sent her home with hobbles and she's almost completely back to normal a week later. They were also 50% cheaper than other vets quoting this same procedure.

I brought my five-month-old kitten in for routine bloodwork, urinalysis and a neuter. His neuter incision looks amazing. He came home completely relaxed and not stressed. He is even ready to get back into his routine. To explain, he is a cat that was rescued from under a deck outdoors. He had been living there for three months without people and is not used to strangers.

The front desk and vet techs were very understanding. They were willing to go slow and be calm and sweet to him to keep his stress level low. I'm so happy that my kitty is happy. Thank you Glenwood for being so caring about him. :0

I found out from an emergency vet appointment with my regular vet that my 17 year old cat was going to need to be euthanized due to aggressive throat cancer. We decided to look into options other than our vet since only 1 family member was allowed to be present for the procedure. This practice was recommended to me by Forever Faithful Pet Cremation in Woodbine since they are located about 10 minutes away from them.

I called late Saturday morning and explained the situation and they were able to make an appointment for us on Monday afternoon even though my cat wasn't a regular patient and had never even been seen by them. When we arrived for our appointment they let us know that their rooms were small but since it was a gorgeous day, they could do the procedure outside.

They handled the situation with grace and compassion, I can't imagine a more perfect way to say goodbye to my girl. The way that this practice went above and beyond for us even though we weren't patients is phenomenal. Dr. Holmes, Kari and Rachel helped to give me and my family a beautiful, memory even if it is a sad one, and I can not praise them enough.

Always felt that the Veterinarian's recommended path of care was exaggerated, and was extremely overpriced. The techs there are great. However, the office staff is disorganized and never seems to be able to get you anything in a timely manner. Be it a price quote for services, or specialized food that the vet recommends. We also found a $12 "dispensing fee" charge on top of the already overpriced meds.

On a side note, be aware if you have a large dog, one of the Veterinarians wanted to muzzle my dog while she performed an exam. If your dog doesn't do well with being muzzled you may want to go elsewhere.

I had a good experience with this animal hospital. The staff and vet showed care and kindness toward my cat. The facility was very clean, and every visit was very easy. They spayed my cat before I adopted her, and thoroughly got her up to date with all of her shots as well as addressing various other minor concerns/abnormalities. My cat got all her paws burnt on a burner, and despite their full schedule, they were able to fit me in later that day which I was so grateful for! I'm sure my cat was too!

The vet showed great empathy and prescribed a plan to make sure her little footsies healed properly and quickly. I had to go away about a week after the incident, and I boarded her there so that I knew she was getting proper care.

Very good experience! Everyone is friendly and caring. Very clean. State of the art equipment and techniques. If you want the best care for your animals you go to the right place and I felt like my dog is in good hands with this practice. The vets are very accessible too for follow up questions and on going care.

Where do I begin.the folks at AMH Glenwood are the absolute best in the business. Our lab puppy, Doolin (not really a puppy - 13+ years) has had her ups and downs through the years and the staff has been exceptionally professional and caring in providing the best health care for our girl, Doolin. Recently, Doolin took a turn for the worst and was quite ill.

I took her in for an emergency visit and Dr. Holmes explained that she had a very large "mass" in her abdomen and wasn't sure if she could be saved, yet the only hope would be with surgery to remove the "mass." Without hesitation, our family decided Doolin needed everything and anything we (most importantly AMH) could provide. Successfully, as a result of the great skill and care, Dr. Schelnberg performed amazing surgery to remove the mass. Doolin came though the surgery very well and continues to improve.

She has regained all of her sensibilities and especially her lab-like playfulness even at 13+ years. Words can not express out gratitude to everyone at AMH. They are all very caring and know how to provide the BEST veterinary care possible.

Nightmare. On November 9th, I took my kitty in because she was clearly not feeling well. After talking with me, staff took her to the back for urine and blood draws. I heard her meowing, at first loudly, then hissing, then screaming at the top of her lungs.screaming. Screaming. SCREAMING. then she fell silent. They came and got me and said she was in distress.

When I saw her, she was in a catatonic state, eyes open but unresponsive. She was that way for two hours before I made the horrible decision. She was literally pushed over the edge because they wouldn't relent in getting a urine sample. The vet said her lab results indicated cancer and the necropsy bore that out. She may have passed in a few days or weeks. But she didn't have to die that day, and she certainly didn't have to die that way.

These people are great! They are friendly and flexible. I feel that their fees are very reasonable, especially their grooming. I have 2 big black lab mutts, so I will not trim their nails myself. No hard selling of products either. Just simply nice people who care about animals.
