Animal Medical Clinic Of St Charles

This review is long overdue. My two dogs, Zazu and Sven, have been coming here for the past seven years since they were puppies.

Dr. Kroll is the primary vet they see, and she is one of the most amiable and compassionate vets you will ever meet. I feel very comfortable with my dog's health in her hands. There have been times when she had called on her days off to check in on Zazu or Sven when they were sick. Sven is not a fan of going to any vet office. Dr. Kroll and the techs will take as much time as needed to ensure Sven is as comfortable as possible for the entire visit.

If Dr. Kroll is unavailable, Dr. Rudigier is a fantastic vet who has also treated both Sven and Zazu. Even though she doesn't see them regularly, Dr. Kroll and her communicate so much that she knows everything about my dogs.

Each vet tech has shown so much love for Sven and Zazu every time they come in. I can tell how much they genuinely care for everyone's pets. Christy & Kristen, who are both certified vet techs, know and treat Zazu and Sven like they are their pups. Even if they are not the tech for the appointment, they will come in to say hi to Sven and Zazu.

Dr. Cook is excellent and performed the tightrope surgery on both of Sven's Cranial Cruciate Ligaments (CCL) about six years ago. Sven runs and plays just as much as he did before the surgeries. Last year, he did a great job on my mom's dog CCL.

Everyone at this vet office, from the front desk receptionists to all the doctors and vet techs, will make your pet's well-being their number one priority. Highly recommend this place to be your primary veterinarian office.

Our vet in Iowa recommended that our 7 year Black Lab have Arthroscopic surgery on his knee by Dr Cook instead of invasive surgery like a TPLO. We drove over 2 hours expecting our dog would have surgery & Dr Cook was very honest & said given our dog’s symptoms, we should just wait & see how he does.....Dr Cook said that if it was his dog, that is what he would do!

We really appreciated his honesty and you can tell that Dr Cook has the best interest of an animal in mind! Hopefully our dog will not need surgery in the future, but if he does, we will definitely be coming back to Animal Medical Clinic of St Charles!

This vet is still under COVID protocols but the doctors take the time to explain everything they did and any treatment needed for my pet over the phone. Dr. Amy and all of the staff is very caring and helpful whenever I bring in my new puppy. Great suggestions on food for picky eating pets. My pet has fun coming here for a visit. Will be back!

My dog was in great pain for several days. They listened to my serious concerns and took her in quickly, which led to x-rays and the removal of obstructions in her stomach and intestines. The entire staff was compassionate and helpful from the start. The doctors were knowledgeable and thorough. We are so grateful that Penny was in such good hands in this emergency. I can't say enough good things about AMC.

AMC is affordable, convenient and FANTASTIC care. They are always concerned for your pets well being and are WAY more cost effective than their competitors. As someone who has lived here their whole life, I am so grateful to have finally found this hidden gem.

Dr. Amy R., Nada, and staff assistant were very kind and supportive when I chose to put our dog down for his safety and the safety of others. Though the experience is horrible, everyone was gentle and loving with my Luke and made us both as comfortable as can be. We were given time to say our goodbyes and I was able to lay with him as the procedure was completed. Though I never want to do this again, I am forever thankful for the kindness of those involved at Animal Medical Clinic of St. Charles.

I took my cat, Stella, for a check-up. It was our first visit, and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the clinic and it didn't smell bad like other places. The staff was friendly and caring. I felt that the cost was fair, which was a pleasant surprise. To top it off, they are located about 5 minutes from my home.

We've been clients of Animal Medical Clinic for almost 9 years. We started by taking our older dog there, and we now also take our 2-year-old. All of the doctors and staff that I've worked with are kind and compassionate. My dogs, while a little nervous, never shy away from the staff and look forward to greeting them when they come in the room. Our older dog has had a number of unfortunate circumstances, including a broken leg and bladder stones. They are always kind and gentle with her, and she's now a happy, healthy "senior" dog. :-D I never hesitate to recommend Animal Medical to anyone.

Amazing place, mastiff/boxer 116 lbs needed a "acl" repair. Dr. Cook took the time to explain everything. All the different repairs their pros and cons. We were able to make a completely informed decision. We felt very secure in our decision and with Dr. Cook. We are very appreciative of him and his outstanding support staff.

This is a very professional, exceptional, and reasonably priced practice. My dog has been a patient for three years. In fact, so pleased have I been that I have ordered a gift basket to send because they really go the extra mile to take care of my little guy.

For the past 13 years, we have had 3 dogs cared for at this clinic, including multiple emergency type visits and one surgery with Dr. Cook. I've never had a bad experience w the office staff or any of the Veterinarians. We especially love Dr. Kroll! She is very caring and compassionate.

I've taken my fur babies to AMC of St Charles for many many years. they feel like my extended family to some extent. Trust them for everything cat and dog related. they truly care about our pets! I recently moved further away from St Charles, but am still making the drive to continue pet care with Animal Medical Clinic. would be hard pressed to find the connections I've built with the staff there. Absolutely love them!

I highly recommend Animal Medical Clinic of Saint Charles. They took all reasonable precautions to ensure my safety and the safety of my 129 pound dog. The appointment was on time, professional yet compassionate, and staff as well as Dr. Kroll were truly interested in my dog's health and wellness.

Been a client of AMC for 20+ years with two different dogs and love Dr. Kroll! My senior girl had her teeth cleaned this week. Dr. Kroll was wonderful knowing how stressed I was about leaving her for the procedure and minor oral surgery. I got many calls about her status and what they needed to do. They called to tell us when she was awake and walking around. I couldn't be happier. The bill was less than the estimate and my dog's breath is so improved and she is happy. They even trimmed her nails! (I was going to ask but forgot because I was so stressed. I didn't even notice they did it til the next day!)

Clean facility; very friendly, courteous, & knowledgeable staff. I felt very comfortable as a new cat owner (always had dogs) bringing our new rescue here! I’m very happy they are so close by!
