Since then, we've been providing exceptional veterinary care to furry, scaled, and feathered pets all across Chicago. To ensure our patients receive only the best care possible, we're both Low Stress Handling certified and Cat Friendly Practice certified by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). Our veterinarians offer preventive care, wellness exams and services for kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. Diagnostic imaging allows our veterinarians to look at your pet internally for clues about sickness or injury. Dental care is an essential part of your pet's overall health to prevent dental disease and tooth loss.
Let Animal House of Chicago provide professional care for your kitten, puppy, cat, or dog. A physical exam is the smartest and easiest way to keep your pet healthy. Wellness exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.
At Animal House of Chicago, our goal is keeping your pet happy and healthy. Thanks to modern diagnostics and our on-site laboratory, we're able to do just that for sick and injured pets. Whenever possible, we use our on-site laboratory for diagnostics, including blood work, cytology, and serum chemistry.

I have been taking my green cheek conure to Animal House of Chicago for annual checkups for 17 years and have never had a bad experience. The doctors and staff are courteous and show their love for animals. I have also boarded him numerous times when necessary, and I feel confident that he is well looked after during those times. Animal House of Chicago is definitely the place to take your pet for great care.

I've been to a few exotic vets, but none have really taken the time to explain what they think is happening, how to best treat my guinea pig, and be up front with cost. I haven't trusted a vet like I trust these guys too really take care of animals and help them get and stay healthy in a very long time. I really can't say enough good things about them because everything exceeds my expectations, and I trust and feel that they really do care about animals.

If you care about your pet please stay away from them. If I could give them below zero stars I would do it. For example they wanted to give anesthesia to my 14 years old kitty just to remove few pieces matted fur from his stomach. Seriously? Who does that? Especially, my sweet boy never been aggressive and violent and he actually always purred when my previous vet was removing the mats in previous years.
Unfortunately for me and my kitty his regular vet passed away last year so I picked this clinic after carefully reading the reviews and I got deceived by them. I strongly don't recommend this clinic.

I have been taking my pets here for YEARS! In the past I have owned many exotic animals and their care is exceptional! The knowledge is unsurpassed as well, no matter what type of pet you may bring in! Everything is explained and you are never rushed which is comforting as well. The BEST vet around! I would give them more stars if I could! Pepsi loves them too! All 1.8 lbs of her!

Dr. Jenny and the staff at animal house are the best. There's no one I would ever trust more with my birds. I've been taking my birds here for the past 5 years for annual check ups (they are my babies - gotta make sure they are healthy!), scary emergency sicknesses, and boarding. It's a further commute than other vet offices, but I continue to come here.
They are great with the birds, value is great, and they provide helpful tips so that I continue to care for my babies as best I can. Even with Covid, the curbside dropoff/pickup has been very organized. Thanks, Animal House!

Previously I'd taken my hedgehog to two other local vets who claimed to treat exotics including hedgehogs... and it was shockingly clear within 5 minutes that they didn't know much about them at all. By contrast, the three vets we've seen (so far!) at Animal House really really know their stuff and have been fantastic -- knowledgeable, caring, happy to help and clearly animal lovers (even hedgehogs, who can be hard to love, lol). I cannot reccomend them highly enough. 5*s in every way.

The caring staff here were able to get my kitty in immediately for an emergency tooth extraction. When we arrived I was given a clean towel sprayed with calming pheromones to place over his cat carrier. We sat in a quiet area for a few minutes before being taken into an exam room. The doctor quickly examined him and gave me his care plan. They were gentle and compassionate toward both myself and my ailing kitty, knowing he was scared and in pain.
He was put under anesthesia and operated on quickly to remove his painful, infected tooth. Even though it was a quick procedure I was given several updates and even got to see him shortly after, while he was being monitored coming out of sedation. He was given antibiotics for his tooth infection and sent home with pain medication. All time spent at the clinic was just about 3 hours. I couldn’t have asked for a better staff to care for my sweet fur baby! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
