Services
We are now a five-doctor practice, occupying a 6,000 square foot state-of-the-art free-standing facility, offering you full diagnostics, internal medicine, surgery, and reproduction services. As a fully computerized hospital, we use our complete in-house lab, digital x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, and two surgery suites equipped with CO2 laser to provide the highest quality veterinary medicine available.
We offer many presentations and programs to educate the public on a vast array of topics involving veterinary medicine, including veterinary medicine as a career, animal husbandry, illnesses and epidemics, reproduction, stem cell therapy, traveling with your pet. We have partnered with local Broward County public and private schools to provide a shadow program for students contemplating a career in veterinary medicine.
Our Idexx lab equipment allows us the capability to run complete diagnostic blood work, including CBC, Blood Chemistry and Electrolytes in-house, for early detection and diagnosis of your pet, with results available during your pet's visit. In addition, we have recently added the new Sedivue Urine Sediment Analyzer which will run a complete urinalysis.
In addition to our surgical laser, each suite is equipped with a Bearhugger warming unit, IV pumps, EKG/Pulse Ox monitor, electrocautery, isoflurane anesthesia machines, and low-level laser. We perform many types of surgery including internal, exploratory, extremity, lump or tumor removal, laceration repair, c-sections, cosmetic procedures, as well as ovariohysterectomy (spay) and castration (neuter) surgeries. Surgery is performed every day, Monday through Friday.

DO NOT take your pets here. Please. We have taken our dog here only to leave with a major misdiagnosis, unnecessary medications that don't help. This Vet is hard to get in contact with. They don't follow up. We took our dog to a different vet and found out SO MANY things that this vet did not mention. There has been no relief for our doggy and it's been an ongoing situation.
We've brought him here several time in the last few months only to discover this vet is likely overbook and doing/saying anything for a quick fix for your animals. The wait times are absurd. We went to a new vet who showed more serious concern for our dog. And we were shocked to learn things the other vet didn't tell us.

I am very disappointed with this place. I took my puppy to see the Veterinarian on Dec 21st because I found a growth inside my dog mouth. The Vet told me not to worry unless it was growing. Since that day the lesion has grown twice the size. I took my dog back and they told me the Veterinarian will contact me, even when I called 4 times that day and again twice the following day I never heard from anybody much less the veterinarian.
Today is the end of the year and I continue waiting for a call. Even As angry as I am I still wish them to have a better service to each one of the members of the animal hospital to the one they provided for me

If I could give this place 10 I would! I had an emergency situation with my 6 month old puppy (Portuguese water dog - PWDs)- I called ahead and the minute I walked in - the world stopped in that office for my baby. They rushed her in and all hands were on deck to make sure she was ok. From the front desk, vet tech to Dr. Cindy and Dr. Schneider - they were absolutely incredible!
Not only did they take care of my baby but I was introduced to two PWDs - emotional therapy during a stressful time. Fortunately, my baby is healthy and happy again because of their expertise! They answered all my questions with patience and I never felt rushed. I will never go anywhere else! Thank you to all who were involved!

Brought my cat in today because she was sneezing, what ever was given to her has caused an allergic reaction and now she isn't breathing. No one to speak with, Just a stupid call center who can "take a message". Take your pet somewhere else that won't just take your money and send you on your way. Hope this review saves the next person for the pain and suffering I'm going through right now

The best vet we have ever been to, by far. They care for all of our dogs and their reproductive knowledge is fantastic. They're kind, professional, and treat the dogs well. I've had everything from routine exams to health testing through them and cannot recommend them enough. Dr Jones has been wonderful, but so have the other Doctors are well! Highly recommend, you can't go wrong here!

The eve before his 12th birthday, my Papillon became very ill. He has a serious heart condition, and I wasn't sure if it was his heart, or a new illness. The next morning I started calling his cardiologist and regular vet -- none of them were available to see him until the next week! I called Animal Hospital of Fort Lauderdale and they worked us in quickly, diagnosed his respiratory infection and got him on meds.
The staff and doctors were attentive, knowledgeable and kind. I sincerely appreciate them making time for my little old man's emergency, and you can bet we'll be going there from now on! Highly recommend. And Finian's feeling better. :

Animal Hospital of Fort Lauderdale is the best ever all 8 of my pets see Dr. Jones. My two cats Bip & Bop had cornered a possum and both received injuries and couldn't walk. They are doing beautiful . They help so much and the cost with something I could afford on my disability. All my babies love the staff . This is my absolute most favorite place the staff is amazing and helpful in every way they take immaculate care of all of my animals I recommend them to everyone their staff is knowledgeable they are always helpful and they are some of the most compassionate people I have ever met their friendliness and willing to help is second to none.
