I can always count on compassionate, professional care for my cats here. Usually it is due to some pressing issue that can't wait for my regular vet, including a cat that clearly was ready to leave this world. Yes, sometimes you have to wait, but, when the regular vet is not available, you can count on the care your pet needs.

The staff was really caring, courteous and professional. They triaged and recognized an emergency and took immediate action to save my dog's life. They were super busy, but did not rush through anything, including the vet taking time to fully explain the situation and path forward. Truly first class!

This animal emergency clinic has been there for me in many situations. They provide a very necessary service for people and their pets during times of need. Just like people, our fur kids don't always get sick, injured or require emergency end of life care when the normal veterinary services are open and available. They're very compassionate and helpful.

The Animal Emergency Hospital of Mid-Maine is a godsend -we are so lucky to have this service in our area. They have had people drive for hours and even some driving from out- of-state because emergency animal services are suffering from lack of funding and the sad dwindling of veterinarian medical professionals. They also have a compassionate charity fund for those who cannot afford the treatment needed for their furry, feathered and scaled best friends.

Please consider the Animal Emergency Hospital of Mid-Maine in your charitable giving; closing this wonderful place would be an immeasurable loss for the people and animals of our community and the state.

The care and efficiency with which the Animal Emergency Clinic admitted, diagnosed and explained my Millie's "Old Dog Vestibular Syndrome" (an apparently common illness in older dogs & cats with an unknown origin, but short term effects which would resolve in a few days), was both professional and reassuring. When I called in a panic, afraid she had had a seizure or a stroke (I arrived home after being out for two hours, to find she could barely stand up without falling down, was wobbly and terrified of what was happening to her), we were able to get in immediately - had she had a stroke, time would have been of the essence.

To see the doctor gently examine her while right down on the floor with my 15 year old pup, describe all of her symptoms and explain in detail how he arrived at his diagnosis (which of course I later looked up on a veterinary site and found the exact same points as he made). well, you can imagine the relief I felt. Wish I could remember the veterinarian's name, as well as that of the vet tech. Both were just great.

I have only compliments for this Clinic. I know sometimes the waits are a bit long, but they treat everyone the same and when it is our turn, we all get the same excellent service from all of their employees. I often wonder how they find so many amazing veterinarians to staff there after hour service. We have been using this clinic for years. for all our family pets.

No matter what the issue is at hand. Several times our dogs had lived out their lives and needed kindness and compassion as they were put to sleep. Other times it was to help with an emergency issue that could not wait for regular hours. Each time the staff treated our animals and us with care and concern. As a pet owner this is so important to me.

I will continue to use this Clinic as my after-hours service and highly recommend them to anyone who needs emergency care for their pet. I have recommended them many times to family, friends, and have their information posted in our Vacation Rental properties as well. It is a solid Five Stars from this family

The staff is kind, considerate and helpful. My dog required emergency surgery. They took her in quickly, kept us updated and did an incredible job. During off hours we had also taken two of our cats to their emergency clinic over the last couple of years. Those past experiences were also amazing. They understand that your pets are your family.

Clinic was spotless. Despite being extremely busy and having to wait, it was well worth it. The veterinarian and all the staff were professional, courteous and compassionate. My dog even hugged the vet, something she rarely does. They prescribed new medication that seemed to help until I can get my dog into her regular vet today. I highly recommend h th em and would like to thank them for being so good to us through a very hard time.

Today was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do and the way everything was handled made it worse. My sons 10 month old cat abruptly become ill. We rushed him to there. After X-rays it showed he his bladder obstruction. Against every ounce of my being I had to surrender my sons cat. The bill for just overnight would have been $1200, plus $300 for the initial visit and X-rays.

The bill would have only gotten bigger since he had to go between a vet and the emergency clinic for a few days. I wasn't even allowed to say goodbye to him, they never brought him back to the room. Mind you I got to listen to him cry on the other side of the door and listen to staff say how much they would bring him home if they could. Nothing like kicking people while they are down. He is an amazing cat and I have a devastated 11 year old with autism all because payment plans through the clinic aren't an option.

My poor baby went in tonight because she got hurt and the vet were completely heartless. They acted scared of my dog and would barley touch her. They didn't talk to her once and they didn't pet her once they grabbed her with my help after telling them when they came in that they could touch my dog and that she was not going to bite she was just in PAIN AND WAS SCARED.

The women who was not the doctor told me that if me and my boyfriend did not put on a mask the Dr would not see us, when we got there we were told to go straight to room 2 and they would bring in masks which they never did. The women proceeded to come into the room at the end of the appointment with medication for my dog WITHOUT A MASK. $175 for them to not even talk or touch my dog to make her feel more comfortable and she got prescribed a med for paid. Last time I will ever go there. Front desk lady was nice tho(: Here is soph. very scary as you can see and deserved to be treated that way while scared and in pain ):
