A coworker's dog recently passed away while under the watch of Dr. Soto and the TrueCare staff. He did have several chronic conditions resulting from bad breeding, but all were well-managed and he was his usual sturdy self the day he was brought in. My coworker was told that his death might have been caused by an unknown underlying condition but there were no decisive answers.

Sadly these things do just happen sometimes, so I was not going to leave a review. However, it was brought to my attention that a large amount of the office's positive Yelp reviews were removed for being provably falsified and very likely purchased.

So while I can't say that TrueCare lied about how my coworker's dog died, I can say that they are comfortable lying to make themselves look better to potential clients, because that's what their own actions say.

As I like to be honest, I will admit I myself am using an alt account, but that's because this coworker and I don't get along, and I don't want them to see this as an invitation to contact me. But their dog was an amazing soul who deserves to be remembered, and this vet office has proven themselves untrustworthy and their business practices deserve to be scrutinized.

I know a one-star review won't bring this perfect dog back, but hopefully it can save others in advance. Please reconsider before choosing TrueCare.

Super expensive and the vets don't speak to you. It's all digital and I don't know what to say, but after 7 hours of running around in a circle sitting in the lobby they finally overcharged me. REALLY BAD COMMUNICATION with the vet to the lobby workers. The dmv is looking really good compared to this place. At least if you get overcharged they send you a refund. Not here. Big scam! Honestly if this is your vet your dog will have a horrible life

We have recently had several trips to True Care for pets with our cat Michelle. It was quite an involved process to get her back to good health again, but Dr. Lottati and her staff were very kind and caring. There was very good and clear communication at all times. Dr. Lottati emailed us regularly on her own time to find out how Michelle was doing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

Bells and whistles and poor service. Yes - and also dispassionate service. I have never been to a pet care facility that had so little compassion in their care. And I've had 15 dogs. One of them last night in such pain and confusion after a stroke at 4 am. I called this place and was routed to a phone answerer who knew practically nothing. They could not accept my dog - why? - there would be no doctor in until 10 am that morning.

No doctor overnight at an overnight emergency center? Seriously? What are they there for? Check out the price list too. Check out the doctor list. So I waited until 7:30 am when my regular vet opened. The care over the phone couldn't have been more helpful. Only when my poor dog was there for treatment did the office tell me of the complaints they have against TrueCare.

Even the office manager thought they were money-hungry frauds. But it seems there's no place else to go in Studio City & surrounding area as the owner, Morgan Cavanaugh, DMV seems to have locked up the area. Beware.

I rarely write reviews, but I was sad to see the negative reviews here for True Care. We've only had great experiences, even under not-so-great circumstances. Our senior cat with severe IBD (also an enlarged heart) has been treated by Dr. Chaplow for a few years now. We deal with three different vets on a regular basis, and she's our favorite. She's compassionate and calm, even lighthearted, while always being professional.

We appreciate that when we ask her to keep it real about our cat's health, she does. She's honest about treatment protocols, and we don't feel that she up-sells services just to make money for the clinic. Keeping our Bean healthy as possible is very costly; she takes that into consideration when recommending care for him. We always feel well informed but never pressured. I can't speak to the other vets at True Care, but Dr. Chaplow is a Godsend to us.

PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT TAKING YOUR BELOVED FUR BABY TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I walked into their emergency hospital with my French Bulldog who had gone into labor and her first puppy had breached. I literally watched as they picked her up with her puppy's paws hanging out of her. I was taken into a room where financial options were discussed.

The lady who initially assisted me was extremely rude. She did not want to provide a written estimate. She brought in a vet tech who told me that it could be life and death for my Frenchie and her puppies as a way to have me agree to not seeing a written estimate. At that moment I requested time to call other nearby hospitals but they were all at capacity that night.

They were willing to hand me back my Frenchie with her puppy hanging out of her because I was requesting to see a written estimate. I finally agreed to a "ballpark figure" of $7000 without knowing what was going to be done to her all because I was in tears at their lack of their sympathy for my situation and I did not want more time to pass. The fee was paid and before I got up to leave the room, the same rude person that first assisted me poked her head in and said that I had to agree to spay my Frenchie before the vet would agree to come in to give my dog an emergency C-section.

I was floored. My jaw literally dropped. I could not believe that while my Frenchie and her puppies' lives were hanging in the balance, they wanted to push their agenda on me. I was literally coerced TWICE to agree to things under major distress for the wellbeing of my dog. Days later, after picking up my dog and 2 out of 3 puppies, I received a credit to my account of "unused" funds. BEWARE OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT AND THEIR EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL PRACTICES!

All the staff at True Care are wonderful. Always extremely friendly, caring and helpful. Dr. Lottati is hands down the BEST! She has cared for both my boys and has not only provided excellent care but she goes above and beyond. She patiently answers all my questions (I have lots. Always), is accommodating with her schedule and she always responds to me directly and quickly. I wish more vets & doctors were like her. Highly recommend if your pet needs an internal medicine specialist.

Finally, I've found true care and true professionals who are kind. I can not express how grateful I am to have Dr. Lottati and her staff, Carol, Julio, Niaz, Nitzia, Val and DeeDee on my side. We've became aquatinted due to my young kitty becoming Diabetic. Their patience in explaining the diagnosis, especially Dr. Lottati and Carol, in addition to availability in answering questions while calming my fears has meant the world. I will recommend Dr. Lottati and her staff to all those near and far who need professional care and kindness. If there were 10 stars I would double them.

Please don't bother coming! Checked in at 7:53 pm. My puppy had a limp and didn't get seen until 2.5 hrs later while other dogs were seen sooner and let out as well. 8 1/2 hrs later he was discharged! Employees came and went. Come on! Stop being cheap and hire more doctors and/or staff! This is unacceptable! Yes I agree with the other reviews. You seriously think people would write reviews out of pleasure?

Believe us. They're just looking to extract as much money as possible from your pain/fear and your pet's pain/fear. $155 for exam-consultation. Medicine $200 for 2 bottles. They're so cheap that the syringes don't even work! All of the liquid comes out! $361 for STAT X-ray. STAT to them means 6 hrs later. I doubt all animals need x-rays! Completely frustrated! Will not come here ever again!

I brought my dog in for coughing, runny nose and a seizure. Before Dr Wu even looked at him she said it's probably cancer. Before even examining the dog! And I noticed that the waiting room was full of dogs seeing Dr. Wu who all had tumors. It really struck me as odd. My dog is only 4 years old. They gave him an x-ray and blood test. They do everything over the phone so you never see anyone's face and the first call is about paying before they even treat the dog. Surprise!

The X-ray comes back with a big ole tumor in his chest. Like magic! She says I need to do over 10k worth of tests right now. They would send him to a facility to perform the tests today. Right away, has to go right now. The pressure was intense. and when I hesitated she said if you don't do these tests you might as well put your dog down! My 4 year old dog who is eating and pooping like normal.

I said I needed some time to think about it and wanted to just get my dog back. Once I said I didn't want the tests the entire tone of the dr and the assistant changed. Based on the X-rays from Trucare for Pets I had a lot of expensive tests done on him at another place. A vet concluded that it must be cancer because of the tumor from the trucare xray but he wanted to get new x rays.

In the new x rays he said there is NO TUMOR and the X-rays I got from Tru Care for Pets aren't even of my dog! The X-rays didn't even have my dogs name on them! I am so furious. Dr Wu said I should put my dog down! This place is a SCAM that makes money off of guilting people into getting unnecessary and expensive procedures and tests! This is either a reckless error or it was done with absolute malfeasance.

Either one is terrifying and infuriating. If you get a bad result please get another opinion and DO NOT put your animal down based on information from this place. I would say DO NOT GO HERE unless it is life or death. Do not do their tests. Just do the minimum to keep your pet alive until you can go somewhere else. I would like to say the the front desk people were very kind and helpful. They were sweet to my dog and to me. They have a rough job being the face of this business and dealing with irate people all day.

For those giving five stars, I went because of you. My dog had an allergic reaction and unfortunately it went unresolved. They told me to call if she still had hives after a couple of days so she could get a stronger prescription other than Benadryl. When I called, they wanted to see her again for yet another $140 dollar visit plus whatever other services they suggest. No thanks. Totally disappointed. Suggestion: GO TO ANOTHER URGENT CARE!

The clinic is not as bad as the reviews say. As soon as I got there, I was told it can be an 8 hour wait because my dog didn't seem to be in a critical condition. She did have a severe allergic reaction. A nurse examined her in the lobby and said we can wait. However, my dog vomitted in the lobby 10 mins later and they took her in right away. It was a total of 3 hours.

Staff are professional and kind. The doctor explained the options to me, staff explained the estimates. I was really glad I stayed and waited. On a Sunday, there aren't that many options for emergency Vet.

My 18 weeks old puppy, fell from the couch, I rushed him to TrueCare in Studio City, I got there at 7:30pm, at 12am the doctor called me and said nothing is broken or injury from the fall, then she said did you know about his heart defect, I said no, she said he has an enlarged heart, he needs to see a cardiologist, my heart dropped, thinking oh my god he is only a puppy I can bear the thought.

The next day I called and made an appointment for my puppy to be seen by a cardiologist, I could only get an appointment the following week, I was devastated and couldn't stop crying. Good news is that after being checked by the cardiologist, Romeo's heart in perfect, nothing wrong with his heart. Dr. Trish Ogle at TrueCare, should have said you know we see something have him checked, but she said did you know about his heart defect, she caused me so much sadness and fear, I was a wreck due to what she told me.

This Hospital save my Doggie Life Ariel. On a Saturday afternoon after vet visit we were told our doggie needed to be treated right away. She was diagnosed with (pyometra ) she needed surgery ovh to be performed asap becausethis can be deadly for female un spayed dogs. I was referred here from our Veterinarian. Thank God they took her in right away and confirmed that yes indeed she needed surgery for (Pyometra ) OVH was performed at 8:00 pm.

I have 2 experiences here and they were both nightmares for different reasons. Experience 1: 5/11/22 I bring my sweet 2 year old chihuahua in for vomiting, mucus in stool. I bring her at 6am, wait in the car for 3 hours. They take her in and do X-rays and other things for $1200. They say her digestive system is inflamed but nothing is stuck. They say they are giving her fluids and an anti nausea shot. 6 hours later, I sign the discharge papers, first it says I denied further testing which I didn't?

And they said oh sorry we just use a canned response and then B I'm home, they text me.hey, we didn't give her the fluids or anti nausea shot. I say- huh? You guys discharged her that was her only treatment, you made me sign papers she received this and it was never given? This was crazy to me; they apologized and said there was a glitch in their system. Dr Thompson was at least kind.

Cut to this weekend Experience 2: My dog eats floss, she vomits a tiny piece, I rush her over to do the shot that induces vomiting that has to be done promptly. Front desk staff rude: but since it's a timely issue they take her back. The doctor calls me, I tell her about the floss. Also keep in mind everything here is about payment. You must pay first before anything is done no matter what the emergency. Dr Wu does 2 shots and she doesn't throw up the floss.

Now later I find out from another vet she needed to have food in her stomach to attach to the floss - which she did not say. Cut to- she says the only way to get it out is to put her under anesthesia and go through her mouth or wait it out but she can pass it or it can destroy her intestines "50% chance she would die" what?!? Then she gives another shot "I don't think it will kill her." Huh?

You don't think the shots you're giving will kill her? I said you don't sound too confident in that, she said "As a vet I need to say all things that can happen and not sugar coat it" I felt pressure and her projecting guilt on to me not to do a crazy expensive procedure on my dog, they rarely answered the texts, never gave me an itemized bill.

My alarms went off; I do not trust this place I have been an anxious mess, thinking my dog was going to die all weekend from her bedside manner I spoke to another vet that calmed me down and was more kind. I don't know if they are trying to get money or they have a lack of compassion for vulnerable people desperate to help their furry family member but I feel ILL from how I was spoken with. Also I never got an itemized bill. What did they charge me for?!

Really negative experience here; they do not know how to manage expectations regarding their wait times. Saturday morning my dog gets bit by another dog, he's bleeding from multiple puncture wounds. Truecare says that he isn't 'critical' and so can manage the wait. They tell me it's going to be 2-4 hours. I'm stressed but I understand, it's saturday after all.

I sit in my car in their parking lot for over two hours and call to get an update, now they tell me the new wait time is 4-6 hours! Not from my original check in, but from there on out. They appeared completely unaware of how confusing their manner of communicating wait times could be, they just said no its not confusing anything can change and its now 4-6hrs.

I found another clinic that was able to fit him in sooner. 15 minutes after I leave TrueCare calls to ask where I went as they were ready for me?!? I told them I left because they said it would be 4-6 hrs and she said "no I actually said it 'could' be 4-6hrs", like what the hell kind of gaslighting is that? I could not understand why they felt it helpful to play these semantic games and give such unreliable and inconsistent wait times. Every Vet in town is slammed so they clearly won't lack for customers no matter how stressful they are to deal with.

Thank you, truecare for saving our cat's life! I'm not one to leave reviews but I'm surprised to see such low reviews here and want to encourage other pet owners to trust them and take your pet here in an emergency. Our cat was attacked by a coyote and we were terrified she wouldn't make it. TrueCare took her in immediately and saved her life. They let us see her in her oxygen therapy box once she was stabilized, and each doctor called at the end of their shift to give us an update, and we appreciated being kept in the loop as we were stricken with worry the whole time.

When speaking with us, they took their time to listen and answer all of our questions. If there is ever another veterinary emergency, I will take my cat here right away. Thank you!

I've had to bring Taz in a couple of times when my regular vet wasn't able to see her and I cannot tell you how grateful I am for them. They treated my baby so well and it was obvious they care! When your fur baby is sick, it is incredibly stressful but I always know she's getting the best care with TrueCare for Pets. A huge thank you to Dr. Thompson, Dani G., and Briana for taking such good care of Taz and shout out to the front desk folks that remain caring and calm no matter the situation

Our beloved 8 yr old cat, Harley, developed a respiratory illness. Despite conflicting opinions and various treatments, it was clear he was not getting better. I believe we were referred to TrueCare via Yelp. It was close to midnight, but they could accommodate us. From the security guard who helped us get parked, to the people behind the counter who brought us water (and me Kleenex) while we waited, and everyone in between, I have never met such a caring staff.

They clearly were all very well trained in grief management and customer service. And we did not have a very long wait. We went into the examining room with the vet and Harley, . The attending veterinarian was patience incarnate. She walked us through the procedure in very simple language. Our hands were supporting Harley as he transitioned from this earthly dimension onward to the next. I cannot thank the fine people working the late shift on Tuesday, February 8th 2022. Angels, every one.

I have been to True Care for Pets twice for a medical emergency involving my beloved kitty. Both times the staff was kind and efficient, getting my cat care quickly and keeping me appraised of what was going on. Dr. Soto recently performed emergency surgery on my cat, and she was wonderful to speak with and did an amazing job. The whole staff (shout out to Desiree, Vanessa, Chris, Dom, Avery and Ashlie) clearly loves animals and are communicative and responsive. Yes emergency medicine can be pricy, but they will help you get the right documents for pet insurance. Thank you True Care for getting my sweet boy back on his feet =^.^=

I came here when my 7 year old corgi, Link, started having an allergic reaction to a vaccine he received earlier in the day. The staff was calm, kind and communicative. They took him back right away and gave him fluids and anti inflammatories. Two hours later he was discharged with some medication. We are so thankful the people at True Care were there when we needed them.

I was a bit nervous with this clinic's reviews, but my dog was in a dire situation on 4/1/22. He'd had ACL surgery at a different clinic, and negligent handling there had cause him to contract aspirational pneumonia. His literally couldn't breathe. I rushed him in in a panic, and everyone was incredibly helpful right away. I dropped him off for x-rays, and once they came back and treatment was shown to be necessary, I had 4 doctors watching over him for the next 3 days & 2 nights.

They responded by phone or text very quickly, and I was reassured by their regular updates. When I picked him up, they gave and explained to me his antibiotic regimen for the next 10 days. Yes, they're expensive, but if you value your pet's life, it's necessary. Not all emergency care is equal, and having had a bad experience with it before, I can say TrueCare knows what they're doing. My dog is alive because of this clinic and their team.

3 stars for the medical treatment my pet received. -2 stars for the rude female receptionist employed here. How an establishment treats their customers will determine if they return or not. The Management at True Care needs to train the staff answering phones to be courteous and respectful. Nowhere else would anyone pay such high prices for such poor service. Homegirl needs to get her head out of the hood and learn some manners.

We had to take our dog here for a medical emergency and he stayed 2 nights in the ER. It was difficult to see our dog so close to death, but thankfully TrueCare was able to provide our dog with a blood transfusion and care for him while we were figuring out what was happening to him. The entire staff was very professional and reassuring that our dog would make it and were very thorough when it came to the treatment plan we needed to follow.

They also helped with getting us set up with another Vet who could assist with follow-ups. 5 stars across the board. Thanks TrueCare! If I had one small gripe it's that the parking lot is very tight, but that's the case for the entire boulevard so it's not something they can remedy.

After such a long, terrible, and traumatic day at Kinder4Rescue, TrueCare for Pets finally helped our pet Lola leave the world the way we wanted her to. At the other vet, She was left in a cage barking with an open wound on her lower abdomen for over 4 hours with no help, medicine, no nothing. we took her here at the end after such a disturbing conversation with the other vets owner and knew we went to the right place.

We talked to Priscilla and she was helping us the whole time- she was reassuring, comforting, and wonderful. the entire establishment is clean, welcoming, bright, and was beyond expectations. wish we took our baby here first. Though the process of getting your loved one euthanized is stressful, traumatizing and sad, not only did Priscilla make us feel at home, she let us know every single plan of the night.

As well as Dr. C, being as reassuring as possible in the process of leaving our 14 year old fur child. This is where you need to take your pet, no low cost vet is going to give you impeccable service as True Care did for the last few moments of our little Lola. Thank you for human kindness.

I sadly needed their services when my 13 year old boxer boy Jake collapsed from complications with cancer. I will say that after many years of owning dogs and having to deal with difficult end of life decisions, I have never had a dog treated as kindly and with as much care as TrueCare did. It was the furthest thing from clinical. They brought him a giant fluffy bed to lay on and multiple fluffy blankets.

They gave him turkey and cheese and multiple staff members gave him pets telling him what a good handsome boy he was. He went out as he lived, with lots of pets and around people who cared. I would not hesitate to bring any animal in for their services and will definitely do so in the future. Thank you so much for their kind and compassionate staff for going above and beyond when my dog, and I, needed it most.

Not sure why there is so many negative reviews about pricing. I think people forget that vets are medical doctors and pets will have similar costs to people at times, especially without insurance. I couldn't be happier. I was recommended this location when I had an emergency in the middle of the night. The staff were awesome. The doctor (Dr. White) kept me updated and explained everything in detail. She also listened and answered to all my questions. The woman who did my admission and discharge (Bree) was also fantastic. Thank you for your help!

I had to post a positive review because I feel this place doesn't deserve the low rating that it currently has! My beloved kitty was referred to this place by my vet after he began vomiting blood. From the jump, the staff was extremely kind and compassionate as I sent in my kitty for an overnight stay and additional testing. Unfortunately, they found cancer.

I chose to do the palliative care route, and they discharged my baby in a timely manner with all his meds. We've been in constant contact ever since about symptom management and general advice. I want to thank Dr. Hernandez, Dr. Tucker, Angel the Vet Tech, and everyone else who's been involved in making my fur child's passage into the afterlife a smooth and comfortable one! Also, for the personalized service and nice facilities, the pricing is cheaper than MASH.

I have started 2022 on an extremely sad note. On the evening of New Year's Day, I had to put down my beloved pug. His photos will stay on my Yelp profile. True Care's kindness exceeded expectation. The room for the procedure was quiet, soothing, and tasteful. Dr. Tucker was kind and skilled. The staff up front, Journey and Josh, were both comforting and made things as easy as possible.

My pug did not suffer; he was in my arms at the end, and he was at peace as he passed. Dr. Tucker encouraged me to spend as much time as I needed. They arranged all the after-care. I just received a sympathy card in the mail from them today. It was really kind of them to do that. It means a lot. It's a hard way to start the new year, but True Care at least made things easier in the midst of a painful end.

I would give 0 stars if that was possible. TrueCare caused my 16 year old dog -- almost fatal -- pain and suffering with their malpractice. I took her, in the middle of the night, with shaking, restlessness, then stomach spasms, extreme pain and listlessness (I wasn't sure if she was going to pass out). Upon arrival, I told them it was assumed toxicity and extremely urgent, as she'd recently gone limp in my arms.

They told me to wait in the car and someone would be out to get her. I understand it's Covid time and I want everyone to be safe, but you don't tell a possible poison victim to "hold on". Someone came out to collect her and I waited. and waited. and waited. After an hour, I called to check on her status. The receptionist told me they hadn't gotten to her yet because there were "worse cases" to tend to.

Why didn't anyone triage my pup, who had a possible toxicity? How is my dog's life on the line because they didn't staff properly? Shortly after that, the vet called and basically told me that my pup "seemed" normal. I told her it's probably the adrenaline from being at the vet (she HATES the vet) and that I was still thinking she ate something that didn't agree with her.

She convinced me that bloodwork was NOT the way to go. She wanted to do X-rays? I agreed... because she's the one with the Veterinary degree. Her assistant took over and told me it would be about an hour to wait for the X-rays. I said that was fine and I'd be waiting outside at the curb. About 15 minutes or so later, someone came out of the building, carry my pup -- without a collar or leash at 4am on Ventura Blvd -- and tried to discharge her to another car.

Thankfully, since I was waiting, I jumped out of the car and confronted the situation.

They told me there was another dog named "Lucy" who was being discharged to that family and they thought it was my Lucy. That's simply careless. All in all, around 7am, she was discharged with "spine pain" and probable IVDD (disc degeneration). They never did bloodwork, charged me $550 for X-rays (which is about double the price of other emergency vets) and sent her home with 70 opioid pain killers (why did she need 70?).

I was very displeased with the service to say the least but happy she was okay.

Then, she had another bout. We ran to Access in Woodland Hills... turns out True Care misdiagnosed her. She had pancreatitis, which caused an intestinal ulcer and kidney problems/dehydration. They also did X-rays ($256) and found her spine to be perfectly fine. They said for 16, her joints "look fabulous" and, in fact, have no signs of arthritis.

Long story short, True Care was careless, disorganized, overpriced AND caused my dog's GI problems to worsen with their malpractice. They literally could have killed her had I not rushed her to Access. Maybe their daytime emergency is better than overnight, but to me, not worth the risk or overcharge. On the other hand, Access is a bit of a drive but Dr. Luce was *incredible* and took the time to speak with me at length about everything, in detail, about her issues, treatment and care.

My experience with various vets and emergencies in the past has not been great so I was not sure what to expect from TrueCare when the emergency vet sent my senior pup to them for assistance as I had never been to them before. My experience has been fantastic. Such a thoughtful staff who send updates on your pet if you ask and fantastic doctors who speak with intelligent compassion which has been very hard for me to find in the vet world. Never easy to have to bring your fur babies into the hospital when you fear for their life but I'm glad I brought mine here. Would absolutely recommend.

Dr. Lottati was so wonderful, kind and compassionate. We are grateful that Dr. Tina Chang could get us in last minute after Holistic veterinary cancelled our ultrasound. The staff on the phone and the nurse who brought out our Pita and returned her were helpful and really concerned with her wellbeing

Came in today with a very sick lorikeet I found in the park - and the lovely Audrey saw me promptly and came out with the bird and told and gently showed me what was wrong with the bird and it would need to be euthanised. I agreed and became emotional as I love animals and felt terrible for the poor bird. After Audrey made the bird comfortable- she cane out again and gave me a huge hug and made me feel so much better and spent time talking with me.
I’d like to Thankyou so much- that made me feel so much better and I’m so glad that your practice cares so much about animals and their owners or people who bring in injured wildlife.

I will be recommending your practice to family and friends and will bring in my German shepherd if she becomes ill after hours. Your care and dedication today meant the world to me- and the bird.

Amazing staff and service - Adelaide branch! We had an emergency with our cat on a Sunday the staff were fantastic keeping us up to date the whole time - our kitty was there for 4 days and underwent surgery - we couldn’t be happier and commend everyone on their customer service, dedication to our gorgeous girl Lydia and to us as her owners / human slaves.
