Chocolate contains caffeine and theobromine, which are nervous system stimulants that can be toxic to dogs. The high fat content of chocolate can also cause digestive problems resulting in vomiting and/or diarrhea. The amount of chocolate needed to be ingested in order to reach toxic levels depends on your dog's size, weight, age, overall health, and the type of chocolate ingested. Dark chocolates contain the highest levels of caffeine and theobromine and are therefore a bigger risk than white chocolates.

My cat Sephiroth and I had a great experience at the Animal Hospital. It was clean, neat and organized. Masks and Social Distancing was practiced. Dr. Andy knew right away what my cat's dilemma was and by the next 2 days made my cat feel sooo much better than he did when he first came to him! Thank you Dr. Andy! Dr. Andy's assistant was a real gem. Friendly, attentive. Very nice lady! They will see my cats and I again soon! Pricey though!

My first experience with Throgs Neck Animal hospital was quite pleasant. The front desk receptionist is super sweet and attentive to all your questions and concerns. I really appreciate her phone etiquette, very professional and quite informative. Dr. Andy is highly experienced in his field. He took care of Sofie's (my pooh) annual visit, vaccines, and dental trauma.

I literally dropped her off at 9am by 10:45am I received a call she was ready for pick up. To my surprise, I found her in good spirits with beautiful pearly teeth. Dr. Andy, gave me specific instructions to follow for her antibiotics, weight loss, and dental maintenance. I am very please with the entire service. I highly recommend this establishment!

My cat Mitchy was gravely ill. Dr. Andy saved her with his experience and knowledge on how to care for her. He followed up with phone calls by staff members and I am forever grateful. She is back in good health.

Do not take your babies to Andrew! He does not care for them, he just wants your money. After my first visit, I had A weird feeling about Andrew and My instinct was correct. During my visit I got A fecal exam done, two days later I noticed My pup had worms in his feces, I brought my pup to another vet hospital because Andrews office was closed. They found that he had worms and gave me a general medication, but advised that once his vet(Andrew) knew what type of worm it was, he would most likely give him the medication he needs.

Sure enough I get A call from Andrews office stating he had a parasite, I asked What medicine would be given and was told to come back in two weeks because "he doesn't like to work over other vets work". I was Furious, this isn't an item that needs fixing this is a LIFE we are talking about. I then Got a call back saying that Andrew wanted me to come in for an appointment to give him his oral medication.

I said No, I can Give it to him myself as I did With the last medication. With that being said, it's quite clear that he only cares to bill you not for the health of your baby. Once i went through all of this, I knew I couldn't have been the only one with a bad experience. I only wish i read these reviews sooner because they are SCARY. DO YOUR RESEARCH ON HIM!

Since we got our cat, Gray as a kitten, he had never been to a veterinarian. 3 significant family members of mines died one year apart from each other, thus neglecting my fur baby during my complex grief. When you've awoken from the grief, you face the reality of, ok I'm well, but my cat is not well. Throggskneck animal hospital was my 1st choice, and I have to say, Dr. Andy and Ms. Mireya made my experience of getting Gray healthy amazing with no judgement. The pair are professional, personable and I saw that they genuinely cared about Gray's health and for that, I am truly grateful. Thank you.

Throgs Neck Animal Hospital/Dr. Andy has been our vet from day one. The day after I brought my puppy Malcolm home, I took him here for a check up. As a new dog mom, I had a lot of questions and each of them were answered with compassion. Unfortunately since then, my furson has had a few parasites. Each time, Dr. Andy has successful treated each of them.

I have a lot of anxiety and it manifest itself with my puppy too. I am constantly worrying about his health, growth and overall wellness. I often have several questions and I never hesitate to call and ask. I realize this can be a bit much, but Throgs Neck Animal Hospital has never made me feel like my questions are silly or that they didn't want to answer them.

I am truly grateful for their patience and grace. (you dont find that often) Additionally, Mireya the Secretary is so kind. She has a warm and open spirit. It's nice to walk into a place of business and be greeted by someone who seems to truly enjoy what they do. She always ask how myself and Malcolm are doing and will breakdown the bill for you when needed.

In general, Malcolm and I are treated very well here. I trust Dr. Andy as he is a wealth of knowledge. We are looking forward to sharing Malcolm's journey into adulthood and beyond with Throgs Neck Animal Hospital.

Do not go here! The vet will injured or kill your pet! He crippled my poor kitty and he will pay. He's a incompetent vet and has been convicted of dumping dead cats and dog on the side of the Hutchinson river parkway. Google Dr. Andrew Manesis and you will see the horrors this man has done.

I have to say Throgs Neck animal hospital is 100 times better compared to Middletown vet. I will never take my dog to another place. Andy goes the extra step by personally calling to see how your pet is reacting to treatment. I feel he truly cares about animals and not about $$$.

Duke's (Morkie)Veterinarian is located in the state of Florida and my husband and I was devastated when Duke became ill. We goggled our New York area, searching for a Veterinarian that would equal her expertise. After reading the comments and ratings of Throgs Neck Animal Hospital we decided to give them a try. We were more than pleased with the service Doctor Andrew provided. Duke was diagnosed and treated by Dr. Andrew he is a very knowledgeable and caring Veterinarian. Duke showed improvement that night.

Doctor Andrew called to check on Duke the following day. The office staff called again two days later. Thank you! you guys are our Bronx best! I have read the previous comments regarding over pricing. I suggest to those who do not have pet insurance to invest in purchasing a policy. I will never put a price on Duke's care! Duke is well and that's all we can ask for!
