There is not better Vet in the Golden Triangle Area than Dr. Blanton and all her staff. There is no way that I would use anyone else. She is totally the best loving, and caring Vet that we have ever used. We love her and the staff and you will too.

I have had multiple problems with Animal Clinic of Columbus and typically I dont write reviews but this was the final straw. They've had overpriced treatments and have now tried to con more money out of me! I called once for pricing for my Dogs Annual Shots and Rabies shot and was told it would be $150 and bc she was treated for heartworms (which cost a total of $900) they wanted to do a heartworm test and when I told her I didnt want to take the test she all but told me that I have to and that even though I said no to the test that they were also going to make me pay for it($50)!

As well as treating my dog I also asked for pricing for my litter of 7 puppies and was told it would be $228, and when I called about pricing for another Litter of 6 I was told is would be $220. Unacceptable.

Since I can't comment on another person's review I will post my own review and rebuttal. The prices here are very reasonable and on par for most of the least expensive clinics I have been to. If you are going to breed and have litters of pups that you are going to sell and make.profit from do not complain about the cost of vaccinating said puppies.

No one is forcing you to breed so if you don't want to pay the measly $228 to vaccinate, deworm and have the pups examined before you profit off of living creatures then don't breed. And lastly. If your pet has had heartworm and had to go through treatment for that ($900 is reasonable in case you didn't know) then I would hope you would realize that testing your pet for heartworm again is necessary and recommended by the American Heartworm Society.

Oh and since you are clearly cost conscious then you should keep in mind that 7-8 years of heartworm prevention cam be purchased for the price of treating a pet for heartworm disease. Not to mention you avoid the horrible pain and suffering to your pet that you so dearly care about. This clinic isn't focused on your money. They are focused on doing what it RIGHT for your pet.

If you don't appreciate that then I feel sorry for you. Kudos to the DVM and staff for trying to do what is right even in the face of adversity and people trying to get something for nothing.

Dr. Blanton is awesome, and truly loves every animal she works with. The negative review from earlier is hogwash. Animal Clinic of Columbus is very reasonably priced, and anyone with half a brain will realize that OF COURSE you should test your dog for heartworms if you previously had to treat for heartworms!
