Services
Serving Brazoria County for more than 30 years, Angleton Veterinary Clinic originally was a mixed (large and small) animal practice under the direction of Dr. L.W. Venhaus. Times changed, and in 1994, it was purchased by Sherry D. (Dodson) Clark, D.V.M., whose top priorities are quality patient care and client satisfaction.
EKG monitor will give us a picture of your pet's heart rhythm; as well as tells us your pet's respiratory rate, pulse, and oxygenation. Dr. Clark will perform surgeries including, lump removal, bladder stone removal, and many more soft tissue procedures. Dr. Clark also performs surgeries like patellar luxation repair and select other orthopedic procedures.
Is your pet scratching, itching, licking, or chewing on themselves? Living in south Texas, we get a large quantity of canine and feline pets with allergies and dermatology needs. The most common allergies we see are airborne allergies or flea allergies. Living in humidity and dealing with an itching pet can be very frustrating for the owner and the pet.
Angleton Veterinary Clinic is your dog's or cat's "home away from home, " when your special friend cannot accompany you on a vacation, business trip, or family outing. Our kennel technicians are continually on duty and have the professional experience and personal commitment to ensure that your pet receives the same affection and friendship he or she is used to getting from you.

Dr. Sherry has taken care of our pets for many years. She is so compassionate, and can explain diagnosis and treatment in a down to earth and understandable way. I would highly recommend her services and her staff to anyone.

Always great care for my critters. They often know the dog's name, but not mine. I had a very old, frail and temperamental rat terrier, that would lash out, due to being nearly blind and deaf. There was one that he just loved and could handle him all day. Dr. Sherry is the best; Most caring, conscientious and intelligent vet that A&M ever produced.

I'm so incredibly disappointed. We made an appointment for our puppy last week (his first visit ever), and I was excited to have found a vet that seemed to offer affordable visit prices for pet parents. I was not told on the phone when I made the appointment that they are ONLY taking pets into the facility. You literally have to sit in the car and wait while they take your animal from you and do God knows what.

I've never been to this vet before, but this was a very bad first impression. A pediatrician would NEVER ask a parent to let their child go into another room alone with a doctor, so why would a veterinary clinic assume this would be ok? How can you ask questions about your animal? How can you tell the vet what is going on at home? How do you know they ACTUALLY rendered any services at all?! I wouldn't waste your time calling this vet, our fur babies are worth so much more than this!

I changed vets because my dog became extremely ill and no one there was available to help me. There was a stand-in vet that was limited in what they could do and I feel there should be someone there at all times that can write prescriptions. This was truely a life and death situation so I was forced to go to another vet to basically save her life.

When our current vet didn't have time for us in our darkest hour, Doctor Dodson-Clark and her team was there for us. They worked us in and made saying good-bye to our beloved dachshund of 17 years as easy and painless as possible. We will forever be grateful for their care and compassion.

Dr. Clark and her staff made the hardest moment in our life bearable. Dr. Clark said something that will resonate with me till I die. She said. "The one wish anyone has for those they love is that they don't. feel pain, or at the very least you can take away their pain. Today you have chosen to show the upmost act of love, to take away the pain." Then she cried right along side us as we said goodbye. Love these people! They will forever be our vet!

I love this place and the friendliness and caring of everyone there. I especially love how Dr Sherry answers all my questions and then some extra info too. She is very generous with her time and knowledge. We're moving all 3 animals over here!

Horrible. Tried to charge me $311 for a "bottle" of apoquel (allergy medication that ANY OTHER VET will sell for $80). We've been taking apoquel for 4+ years, lived in two states, seen multiple vets and surgeons, and I've NEVER been charged even remotely close to $300 for this medication. talk about only being in the business for money. Go elsewhere. Maybe they're gouging customers to afford the new building next door?

Called them Monday about my 3 year old Yorkie mix I gave her a 5 and one shot Friday by Saturday she started vomiting and hasn't ate anyway I called them fo some advice and the told me she they have never seen her they can't and hung up on me well now vets are all about the money to now I just can't believe how heartless this veterinary clinic is if I took her in I would probably have to pay$$$ up front before they would see her so I don't recommend that veterinarian clinic at all where is the passion for animals it's not there worst veterinarian office I going to file a formal complaint with the state of Texas

I absolutely love coming in here. My fur baby is a spoiled brat at home but she is for sure spoiled when we come here. The staff is amazing and Lily loves them all. The doctor is also great with her.

Dr. Dodson is the finest example of a veterinary practitioner. Excellent care for generations of our furry family. Reasonable pricing. Responsive staff who care and make sure we understand what treatment options there are, what's going on, home care and follow-up directions.

You have to watch this office or they will run tests on your dog TWICE a year instead of the recommended once a year. The Vet pre-charged me for some services and then our dog passed away and she REFUSED to give a refund or even speak to me. She offered me a free bag of dog food instead. I'd go somewhere else even if you have to drive for a while.

I took my 7 month old puppy there 2/7/19 on a referral from a friend thinking it must be a good place, I called and spoke to the front desk person 3 times before I even scheduled and was impressed, but my visit today was quite the opposite.the owner and Veterinarian Sherry Dodson was rude, disrespectful, condescending, she belittled me, made snide remarks about me bringing my dogs supplements to show her, she made me feel unwelcome and made me feel as if I had put her and her staff out by asking them to interact with my dog in a calm quiet way because she's a working dog in training, she told me she was not going to walk on egg shells around my dog to appease me, she said she and her would basically talk to my dog how they talk to all their dogs I would just have to deal with it!

She made fun of me because of the way I feed my dog which is raw fed and said I don't think your dog cares that she's eating a cage free egg, instead of praising me for having a well behaved 7 month old 76 pound Rottweiler puppy.she said training her this young was to much pressure! I am a certified positive dog trainer of 30 years and was a Veterinarian Technician for 13 years and I would NEVER dream of treating and speaking to a client in the way this person "business owner" spoke to me!

She is the worst kind of human. I drove an hour to her clinic and spent $118 to be treated like crap. Her staff was embarrassed and her Technician that was in the room came out to profusely apologize to me and was so embarrassed by her bosses actions. I would never step foot in this clinic again and if you are thinking of taking your pets here DONT! Sherry Dodson is a terrible person and should not be in the business of serving people.

New customer. We needed bording for our dog while we went out of town for 3 days. We have never left her anywhere before. The staff was very nice. When we got back to pick her up. The facility was closed but a staff member made a special trip up there to the clinic to let us pick up our girl. She had been bathed and they even washed her blanket we took with her so she wouldn't get to stressed out while we were gone. I was very impressed with the care they gave her. Thank you for taking care of my girl and caring for her the way we do. We will definitely go back.

We wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else. We've only had positive experiences with Dr Clark. She made me feel more at ease before saving our newly adopted puppy from parvo, after the ER vet told us not to get our hopes up.

During Hurrican Harvey we were 100 miles from home and my dog needed his monthly heartwarm. I went up to the nearest Petco and pleaded with the secretary who asked Darbies vet if you could please call in one month supply of heartwarm and was told no. WOW! I immediately found a new vet. I do not recommend this vet. Don't waist your time!

I don't recommend this vet clinic for skittish cats. I've taken my 2 y.o. cat twice & while the 1st visit was just ok, the 2nd was very stressful for him. The receptionist took my cat out of his carrier in the waiting room to weigh him while strangers & other pets like dogs were busily causing disturbances. In the exam room, there was a bookcase, my cat loves to climb.

Of course my cat is going to dash around & try to hide, esp. after the waiting room trauma. That kind of environment may be fine for dogs & some cats, but doesn't work for us.

This office just charged me a $100 "emergency fee" for picking my dogs up ten minutes after closing. This is poor business practices, and unfit for a professionally licensed entity. I would not suggest anyone take their animals here any longer.
