Fantastic staff. Very friendly. Our Daisy girl took right to them and that's not easy for her. We definitely will be going back. Will be also recommending as well.

I was there for over and hour and a half, just waiting. They performed a wound care that NO ONE told me about. I must add, it wasn't a wound it was my dog's tail pocket. Then when no one came back into the room I left. The 2 ladies at the front desk was really rude, acting like I'm bothering them. The one was sparky saying we've had emergencies come in and go back and whisper about me. I will not be returning after the way I was treated. Also I was charged over $200 for a visit were I had to wait that long for an appointment I had scheduled.

We've taken all of our cats and dogs to the American Animal Hospital for many, many years. Our current vet there is Dr. Courtney Knott who is an amazing doctor. She loves her patients--both human and animal. Her dedication knows no bounds as she's even called in the evening and on the weekends to keep us updated or to answer questions. The entire staff is like that.

They are all very friendly and positive and they are all very busy with many clients each day, but they nevertheless give everyone individual attention. In good times and sad, they are there for you. I'll never forget the tender hand from the doctor on my back as I sat silently sobbing as my very best friend was put to sleep relieving him of his pain.

They never fake the empathy they have for pets and their owners. I can't recommend highly enough as there are not sufficient words to do so adequately! Thank you all at American Animal Hospital!

The staff at American Animal Hospital are always so welcome and nice. I have been to this vet for various reasons but when I sadly had to put done my cat the team was so supportive and thoughtful, I wouldn't choose any other place to take my pets.

The staff here is wonderful they always take excellent care of my dog. Dr. Knott is amazing. Bill is a very energetic and large pup. He's a strong guy which can make him quite the handful. She never seems to mind and just takes it in stride while giving him top notch care! Everyone at AAH from front desk to doctors are all kind and helpful. I wouldn't go any where else with my fur baby!

The reception staff are very pleasant and the facility is one of the most impressive I've visited. Dr. Burr is thorough and explained options in a manner I could understand. She also provided information to allow me to research further at my leisure. I traveled from Lincoln and the location is easy to get to so I plan to make the trip the next time either of my pups need a visit!

I've had a wonderful experience with American Animal Hospital. I greatly appreciate their staff.

Lexi doesn’t like their floors and they bring her in something to stand on and even a blanket this time. Everyone always go above & beyond to make her feel comfortable. Dr knot is the best too!!

Make sure to ask for a copy of your pets medical records and make sure they are correct. THEY can write down anything they want even when it is not true. scheduled two different times to euthanize my granddaughters dog then said someone recorded he had bit someone on the 4th when NOONE told them that. she had called on the 4th to set up the appointment. told them he was aggressive but had NOT bitten anyone yet. they set the appointment for Saturday the 6. they wouldn't do it then because they said they had to call the humane society and couldn't do it till Monday. Got the second appointment for Monday and AGAIN they would not do it!

When asked who told them he HAD bitten they would not say. so TWICE she said her good byes and was then sent home with the dog and told to come back 10 days later. Very inhuman to humans! several family members take their animals here and this dog has gone since a puppy. before now we had been very satisfied nd recommended to others. They just need to get their facts straight and be more compassionate of the people involved in these heartbreaking situations.

Each person listened to what happened and did their best to stay within our budget. We had been approved through Cares at a different vet clinic. Rena (our cat) received so much care and she's doing so much better. I'll be bringing my other animals there for there check ups from now on.

Dr. Natalie Allen was so compassionate when caring for my dog, who has become old and fragile. She gave me all the information as to what was going on with her, why she's feeling the way she does, and what I needed to do in my care for her in moving forward. I can tell that she loves her job, she's very good at it, and she really cares about my beloved pet. I was so happy my dog was in such good hands, especially at her old age. I truly feel that my dog received the best care from her!

We've been going here for a little over 5 years for our 2 dogs and cat. We LOVE this place. Dr. Jesske is simply amazing and Deb made us & Gizmo feel so comfortable today. Not only do they take care of our babies, they put us at ease too. There is no other vet that compares!

What brought me to American Animal Hospital was I had been looking for a new vet closer to home. Initially we had both of our dogs annual appointment, everything was fine. My next interaction was when my dog was injured. It wasn't an emergency situation, I just wanted to make sure the wound was healing and not infected. They made me an "urgent" care appointment even after I changed the initial appointment made on a Saturday for Monday (already not seeming urgent)to the following day, Tuesday.

Initially when I called after the injury on Saturday, the receptionist informed me they were about to close and that I should just monitor him over the weekend and made a follow up appointment for Monday. I was running late from work and called the clinic to inform them of that and ask if it would be better to reschedule. The receptionist asked about how long it would take me to get there, I estimated a time, she said that's fine, just come whenever you can.

This was something I left work early for, it was not a super late appointment into the evening. They close at 7, I left at 6:30 after waiting 2 hours without receiving any care. There was no regard for our time, I even called ahead to make sure my delay wasn't an inconvenience or issue and offered to reschedule.

Reasonable, honest and compassionate people. Great place to take your animal. Going through a difficult time trying to help a 4 year old dog right now and they've been great. My dog can be a little 'rude' at times, but they never mention it and always comment on the good in him.

I adopted a dog and she is dog aggressive! These guys allowed her to go right away to the room so other ones are safe! She doesn't like men so they had a woman come in. Offered her peanut butter to make the shots go better and faster! They were all nice and incredible service!

I sincerely love American Animal Hospital. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are very nice. I always enjoy interacting with everyone that works there. Dr. Jesske typically takes care of my cats, and he is fantastic with them. They have had routine check ups and shots done, and one was spayed here and the other had a tooth extraction. They received and continue to receive excellent care.

My cats are like my kids and I want the best for them, and any time I have questions both the doctors and staff are always there to help. It brings me great comfort to know that the care of my cats are in such great hands. They also treat me very kindly. Thanks for all you do, from the staff to the doctors, all of y'all are great.

I use AAH as my traditional vet and they have always been so supportive and caring! Whenever I take my dogs in they take the time to listen to my thoughts/concerns, and I always feel like they give me their best. Dr. Knott is our very favorite, but every vet there has been wonderful to us. Highly recommend this awesome staff!

We have been very happy with the care received from the veterinarians at American Animal Hospital. Dr. Knott and Dr. Jesske in particular were both kind and helpful to our pug Jack. They have good listening skills, like dogs, and recommended treatments that were appropriate, not over the top. I'm not wild about their setup as a boarding facility, but for insightful and compassionate pet care I recommend American Animal.

I love American animal hospital! I've brought my cat here twice and the staff are super kind to him. With COVID going on you can't go into the building with your pet but they always call you to let you know what they did and how your pet was in the appointment. I'll be sad to lose this place when I move!

I am sad to say that I may have to start looking for another vet. I had hoped I found the correct vet for my three dogs but now since the pandemic has hit, for the past 6 months they are only allowing curbside visits where you have to stay in the parking lot while they take your dog inside, and it seems like mine aren't getting the same quality of care since it is more difficult to communicate with the vets.

It is also becoming increasingly difficult to get an appointment if one of them is sick without having to either wait for over a week or pay their extra $85 urgent care fee (very high in comparison to other places). If you request an appointment online, they will just "slot you in" for a different time that you did not request - happened to me today. So basically, the only benefit is that they are close to our home, but I don't mind the drive if I can find a better experience for me and my dogs.

We have used AAH for the past 17 years and always recommend you guys to all our family and friends. We will never go to another vet as we have had so many positive experiences there. Owning a Rottweiler can be challenging sometimes as people judge them; we have never once experienced any issues or judgements from any of the staff and in fact have found the opposite. It is nice to feel so welcome every time we go! Thank you for everything you do!

We love bring our golden to this vet! All the vets are wonderful and accommodating. They also do well with grooming and clipping nails. We have also boarded our dog here many times and we appreciate that they know her and she feels comfortable :

Everyone here is amazing! You can tell they truly care about animals! Every time we need to make an appointment, they get our babies in quickly and we never have to wait long while we're there. They're efficient and good at what they do! I would highly recommend!

I went through several online sites besides Yelp to find a honest and caring veterinarian in the Omaha area. I didn't find one yet after two attempts in the Elkhorn area so it was time to widen the search. Prior vet facilities and staff were all about upsell on products that were really unnecessary in my opinion or charging for a medical service on Rex, the super border collie without asking for permission from the owner.

This visit for an annual exam and vaccinations went fine without any drama. When I would refuse any upsell with products or extra tests, there was no reluctance or disapproval on their part. The vet took good care of my furry companion and we were out in a timely manner with good answers to my questions and Rex getting a few shots that he didn't mind since he was getting treats from the vet to lessen the discomfort. I'm going to return back to this facility based on how we were treated. I hope this is the place were we call home.

American Animal Hospital is very caring and accommodating. All of their staff is gracious and concerned about your fur baby. Dr. Vanden Hull is extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. We wouldn't go to anyone else!

This clinic has gotten way too busy. You're on hold for a very long time when trying to make an appointment and when you get there, plan on spending an hour waiting to see a doctor. It's agonizing as your pet gets very anxious being around all the other animals in the waiting room. I will not go back there - my time is valuable, too.

The doctors and vet techs are always so friendly and helpful. You can tell they care about the animals they treat. We have been coming here for the last 5 years and couldn't imagine bringing our pets elsewhere! Our cat is on prescription cat food and they were even so kind as to mail us a hand written reminder that we could get the product cheaper when ordering online! Highly recommend.

We have been bringing our dog and cats here for some time. This past weekend we had to have our dog put to sleep because of health issues. The staff were so helpful and compassionate with us through this difficult decision. Thank you for your care for us and our family dog, Hanna.

Dr. Katie Vanden Hull is by far the best veterinarian I have ever been to! She always gives my dog such personal attention and genuinely seems to love her job. I would trust her with anything that comes up and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic veterinarian!

Enjoy taking my dog Apollo to see Dr. Jack we always are on little runs and stop in just to get weighed when I first got Apollo he was a little too skinny but I made sure to beef him up a lot with the help of Dr. Jack feeding him lots of protein and with our exercises he's doing great!

We've been taking our Pug here since we moved to Omaha a few years ago. We've seen a few different doctor's, and they've all been good. Dr. Knot is our favorite. I never feel like she's rushing us and I trust her to only recommend procedures our dog really needs. She even gets down on the floor to examine our dog because he's more comfortable that way. Overall, this is a great practice to take your pet.

This place has been wonderful to my husband and I and more importantly, to our three dogs. All of the workers at the front desk are so friendly, and you can tell that the doctors really care about their patients. Always my first choice!
