Allendale Veterinary Hospital

We love Allendale Veterinary Hospital! Everyone there is super nice and knowledgeable. They don't rush you or pressure you into unnecessary treatment and take as much time as needed to explain everything in detail and answer questions. I would recommend them to anyone.

We have a very fearful Great Pyrenees rescue mix. We have been unable to get her to a vet for over a year. They prescribed meds to calm her down before she went to vet. They told us in advance if they would not be able to examine her they would have to sedate her. They had to sedate her and did a complete exam and necessary vaccines. We had to return yesterday for her last vaccine.

Our dog, Grace wanted no part of it. With much patience and cooperation of her staff, they were able to give Grace her vaccine without sedation. The doctor was very kind and we did not feel rushed. We were very happy with Allendale Veterinary Hospital.

I am so happy I found this hospital. What a great staff, from the front desk to the vet tech to the Dr. Just amazing high quality service. They treated my husband me and my dog as if they knew us for years even though it was our first visit. I highly recommend you bring your pet here you will not be disappointed.

This place is an entire ripoff and a scam. Stay far away. All they do is bilk for unnecessary x-rays costing between $700-1000. My last experience was horrendous. My cat need a $12 Prednisone for the inflammation he had from the forced air in the house. They refused to give him treatment without expensive x-rays. When he gets this once a year during the winter months due to the forced air.

They refused to give me his medication and now would rather let my cat suffer instead of give him what he needs. Places like this vet, should be investigated and shut down. To my thousands of avid google reviews on the local area, BEWARE!

The receptionists are very kind and helpful (PERRRIIOOODDD!). The doctor is very thorough and explains very well how my dog's check up went. I would definitely recommend Allendale Veterinary Hospital to everyone. Thank you!

I originally found this veterinarian when I was looking for a place to take my rats. After my experience, I started bringing my dog and my cat! They are so nice, accommodating, professional, reasonable, and just all around amazing. Couldn't be happier! After my cats first exam, she got a goody bag with toys that she is obsessed with.

Putting it as simply as possible - they saved our dogs life. Ace swallowed a skewer and lived with it in his stomach for months. His health declined and it was very hard to pin point the reason - thanks to the vet, she was adamant Ace needed surgery. The decision was hard - making a decision for surgery always is, but we did it and we are beyond grateful!

Our boy is finally back normal! Finding a vet you trust is hard. Finding a vet you trust and is good is harder. We found our place! Thank you to all that cared for our little guy!

The staff is as someone else said extremely loving and professional. Our dogs are not ever stressed and they are actually happy to see both doctors and techs. Both doctors and techs as well as the receptionists are extremely helpful and patient whenever you have a concern or question.

Allendale Hospital saved my dog's life. She is epileptic but we have it mostly under control, unfortunately she had a horrible horrible episode of back to back seizures. In our rush to get her to an emergency hospital it became very clear if we didn't stop somewhere soon she might not make it. After being rejected from almost every single vet's office (including my own) I called Allendale and begged them to take my pup.

They said yes and I will be forever grateful they did. They took her in immediately and got her hooked up to oxygen, IV and EKG. A vet tech came out every 10 or so minutes to update us which was AMAZING as we were so anxious and upset. Their kindness and fast reaction to her medical needs were simply incredible. I think most vets in the area are good, but a true test of a GREAT vet is in an emergency and Allendale surpassed my expectations. THANK YOU to each and everyone of you that took care of Scout. We are so incredibly grateful for you all. The people here are special and they will treat your pet like their own! Truly an incredible Vet's office.

I really like this clinic for my pets. They have been terrific to my Mom's cat and my cat. I've never had a problem with them & the veterinarians are thorough, very nice and caring. The staff is nice and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend them. L. Cavallo

When Dr. Welsh was at this vet it was great. Now that she retired all this vet does it try to push surgery on you. Multiple times had this vet recommend surgery when they "weren't sure what wrong but we can do surgery" went to competing vet and they fully healed my dog with out surgery. BEWARE this place will try to sell you on surgery to make money they don't care what is best for your pet anymore.

I've been bringing my dogs here for years and have always been happy with their service and the kind staff. I wasn't too sure about the " wait outside" protocol that we have to follow now with Covid but I shouldn't have worried. The vet called me during my dog's exam and again the next day. I felt I was very much kept in the loop.

I was so nervous to bring my new puppy here during Covid because the rule is owners can't accompany their pets inside. I'm so glad we decided to go anyway. Allendale Veterinary Hospital deserves all the good ratings they get. They have amazing hours that can accommodate almost any work schedule, thoroughly answer all questions, and the staff is attentive and caring to both people and animals.

After bringing my dog in for an issue he was having, the veterinarian spent about 25 minutes on the phone with me discussing it. The women who answer the phone are friendly and patient. The one thing I would say is that a couple of times they have brought out the bill and they add something on there that I did not ask for, but they fix it right away if you ask them to.

Other than that, bills are always correct and have no issues with payments. They won't try to pull a fast one on you with hidden fees like other places will. After trying a couple other vets in the area, this is the only one I will take my dogs to from now on!

Excellent staff and unparalleled care from the kindest professionals. I'm fortunate to have them close to home, but I'd travel miles for this level of service.

The staff is great and always going above and beyond to help you with your pets. Although retired, Dr Susan Welsch philosophy and legacy lives on and she occasionally come back to assist the practice.

I have had only positive experiences at Allendale Veterinary Hospital; with excellent medical advice, a very pleasant staff, short wait times, and, very recently, a very compassionate handling of the euthanasia of one of my dogs.

I have been dealing with Allendale veterinarian For about 5 years now they have taken very good care of my animals. Always a pleasure to walk into the office I have always felt very welcomed. The staff is wonderful.
