If you love your pet as much as we know you do, you would hope that he can receive the same kinds of high-quality care as anyone else in your family. Here at All Pets Dental Care and Oral Surgery, we aim to achieve that goal for every patient we see. That’s why we provide such services as:

Pet Teeth Cleaning – There’s no substitute for pet teeth cleaning under general anesthesia. Our ability to get rid of tartar above and below the gum line deters the bacteria that might otherwise trigger painful, damaging periodontal disease.

Endodontics – A broken, dead, or infected tooth may need endodontic treatment, the best-known form of which is root canal therapy. We can clean out the pulp chamber, replace it with a sterile substance, and place a strong, tooth-colored protective crown over it.

Periodontics – If periodontal disease has already afflicted your pet, our periodontic treatment can help. In addition to tooth planing and scaling, we can remove diseased gum tissue, reduce the size of periodontal pockets, and administer other treatments to help prevent tooth loss.

Exodontics – Exodontics is the extraction of one or more teeth. Teeth must sometimes be extracted if they crowd other teeth, have become damaged beyond all repairs, or harbor dangerous infections.

Restorations and Crowns – Our pet dentist, Dr. Valese, can administer restorative procedures to make cracked or broken teeth good as new. For example, we can attach a permanent crown to strengthen a weak tooth or keep bacteria out of a hole or break in the tooth.

Oral Surgery – We treat more than teeth and gums at our Mt Pocono, PA clinic. Our range of oral surgery options includes removal of oral masses, biopsy of oral tumors, jaw fracture or palatal defect repair, and other procedures that can improve oral function and health.

Orthodontics – Misaligned teeth in dogs and cats don’t just look odd — they can also cause considerable pain and interfere with chewing. We can perform orthodontic treatment to straighten these alignment errors.

Pocket Pet Dental Care – Our pet dental care applies to pocket pets, too! We can treat rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and other pets beyond the realm of dogs and cats.
Referral Documentation – We can provide all the necessary medical documentation to veterinarians and referring specialists.
As your trusted pet dental experts in Pocono, PA, we are proud to provide the highest quality of care to your beloved family pets. With many years of combined experience, we know that regular pet dental checkups is one of the most important aspects of preventative veterinary care. We understand that just like their owners, your family pets can greatly benefit from good dental hygiene.
Joseph Valese received his degree as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. This vets office need to be shut down. The vet is running a racket to charge you to go back in the room to be there with your pet to be examined. The office says they started doing the since covid. It appears they been doing it for years. Reports of negligence and more not good very shady with this office. If you have issues go to Joeys Legacy wonderful place to help you get in touch with a attorney to help your medical practice case with this vet. This vet is no good took my pet here never again. Please people use your heard and investigate any medical care for your pets.

When I rescued my cat from a shelter she was underweight, her mouth was bleeding and she had trouble eating. Her vet diagnosed her with stomatitis. After a round of antibiotics and steroids and extraction of a few teeth failed to meaningfully improve her situation, I was referred to All Pets Dental Care because she would likely need all of her teeth extracted.

At her first appointment with Dr. Valese, we discussed our goals of care. He listened when I said I wanted to save as many of her teeth as possible. He prescribed a dental care regimen and extracted the teeth that were not salvageable. His staff texted me to check on her progress - the entire office clearly cared for the health and happiness of my pet. I am happy to say she is now very comfortable, playful and has a strong appetite. We will continue to follow-up regularly with Dr. Valese to protect her remaining teeth

My pup needed a very aggressive tumor removed from her upper jaw and palate. The tumor was removed, the incision healed without incident. My pup has absolutely NO deficits! You can't even tell she is missing a portion of her upper jaw. She eats like she did before she had the tumor. The staff was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. I couldn't be happier. We are so grateful to them all.

Associates were prompt and efficient when scheduling appointment. This was not my primary care Vet but I was treated as though I were. All the staff were pleasant and courteous. I saw the Dr for a special dental issue for my pet and he was very helpful when explaining the issue and corrective treatment. Would recommend this facility to anyone.

HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for just a cleaning or have a pet that needs oral attention. I have a 3 year old pit mix and I discovered a large tumor in his mouth in October/November 2020. The staff was very accommodating and even called me once a cancellation was available to speed up the process. Dr Valese examined him and made a treatment plan right away.

We did end up having to remove almost half of his bottom jaw which was a very scary experience not knowing what to expect. Even with booking out a few weeks, once again a cancellation was available and I was immediately called. The staff, especially Kelly, was always right there to help, so professional and really cares about you and your pet. Dr Valese did an INCREDIBLE job with my dogs tumor removal and reconstruction. I could not be more thankful for Dr Valese and this practice for saving my dogs life and giving me the best experience possible through such a trying time!

Dr. Valese and the crew at All Pets Dental took outstanding care of my dog Lulu when she was in for a root canal on a broken canine tooth recently. Dr. Valese explained what was needed and how the procedure was to be performed in detail. He took the time to listen to me and answer all my questions. The rest of the staff were super nice and helpful too.

After the procedure, Dr. Valese himself went over Lulu's discharge instructions and sent us home with a folder of before and after pictures and xrays of the work done. As a former vet tech myself, I was really impressed and thought this was a very nice part of the services performed. I would definitely recommend All Pets Dental! I just wish I lived closer since Lulu hates car rides!

My cat needed several teeth pulled and some issues taken care of in his mouth. Dr. Valese and his staff were very professional. I was impressed by the way Dr. Valese described the surgery, showed me before and after pictures, and how serious he took making sure Jackson was taken care of given his age. Compared to other places I price shopped, All Pets Dental Care and Oral Surgery was really pricey, but it was done right the first time and I wasn't questioning the process or my pet's safety. Dr. Valese is hard to read, and can make it awkward in the exam room, very monotone.

I felt as if I was the bad person for my cat's mouth condition, like I was the dummy for not brushing my cat's teeth already?! Otherwise, if you can get past the perceived shaming, the experience is professional, and caring. Even after spending $2400 on mouth surgery, they'll still bang you $20.00 for a Saturday appointment (it was my included follow up for surgery).

Not necessary! Most of the world works weekends, and I am surprised being in business he isn't on that program. I don't charge extra because people want to eat on a Saturday.it is what I need to do being in business.

Yesterday Charlotte was in for dental work and a nail trim. As always, great care was given to her and me. Dr. Valese also gave me suggestions to make brushing Charlotte's teeth easier. I highly recommend this vet and his staff.

The staff and Dr vallese are very caring. The office is clean and welcoming. I like that there are separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs.

Worse vet ever! He almost strangled my puppy just trying to put a muzzle on her when she was only three months old. All he had to do was ask me to do it but he chose to keep me in the waiting room. when I heard her crying and screaming, I opened up the door that lead to the back room (next to the bathroom) and saw her hanging nearly 2 feet off the floor, he had the lead around her neck, looped up over the top corner of a metal crate. (this was 2 large metal crates stacked on top of each other) that was over 5 foot high. (with a very large Bull mastive inside that crate barking at my puppy adding to the stress of the entire situation), pulling the rope tight, pulling for off the floor all in an attempt to put a muzzle on her. she never needed it.

I reported him and found out he has other reports against him of negligence. I'm actually surprised the man is still in business. He always wants to do some kind of dental work when it's not necessary and overcharged you too. He has always seemed unfit to practice on animals. always seems afraid of them. will never let the owners go back into the room with your pet. makes you wonder what other kind of abuse he does to make the animals comply. Please research your Vets before you take your animals.
