Great and friendly staff and drs. They went above and beyond to help me get necessary paperwork to travel with my pet. They were always helpful and found out all the answers to my questions.

Spent 2 days calling to try and get some info / a possible prescription for my dog after she broke a nail. I got one 'auto text' reply. After me calling 4 times and even texting the number back, I got no other replies or calls back. I called a 5th time and I finally got ahold of a person, the vet tech. she was rude, disrespectful and when I tried to explain what I was looking for /understand my options - she would continually interrupt me and wouldn't let me speak.

At one point I even asked if I could just speak to someone else - and she said "I'm the best you're gonna get". I'm so bummed because I loved Dr. John (sad he's no longer there!), but this vet tech was absolutely horrible and changed my opinion of this clinic and how they treat their clients.

I quit this vet two years ago. The last year of care with them traumatized my dog. I haven't thought about them much in the last two years because I found another great vet in Anchorage. However, in the last two weeks I've talked to two people at the dog park about what vet I see because they're looking for someone place new. They described similar concerns about their dogs being traumatized by a vet and needing to switch. Turns out both strangers named Alaska Veterinary Clinic as the clinic who did the poor care.

They have great reviews and I don't doubt for some they're fine. But, take care especially if you're having the techs do their nails. Two people described techs cutting the nails so short they bled.

Unable to take new patients, I've called every clinic I could there is either a very long wait list, no space, or a waitlist where you get bumped if a more emergent case comes in( understandable for that) but both my cats may have UTIs and no one will see them to actually help! Thank you for the reply, but when i said i called every clinic I meant it!

Emergency clinics included. When i called I was told no new clients due to as you said compromised care for other patients, not enough doctors etc. So if you guys can't make time for new patients then you aren't actually accepting new clients.

We have been using this Vet. Clinic for nine years. We started with the same clinic in Kodiak Ak and transferred to this one in Anchorage. The Doctors and all of those who work there are fantastic. They have helped me with my dogs tremendously. When one of my dogs passed away their support and empathy helped me through the sorrow. Everyone that works there is awesome.

I would list all their names but they know who I'm talking about. The clinic is always clean. But most of all they love and care about my dogs. They care about ALL Animals. Once again, I thank all of the Doctors and everyone who works there. It is not easy for them to do everything that they do. They too feel sorrow for the sick and dying animals they treat. This vet. We've had our ups and downs through COVID, and building any relationship is a process. At the end of the day, AVC provides excellent pet care and strives to understand and meet the needs and concerns of pet parents and family members (sometimes called Owners).

I took my parakeet to Alaska Veterinary Clinic after she fell in some oil. Poor thing. Dr. Ferguson was able to take a look at her right away and put us at ease that she will be okay. A few days later, she wasn't doing great and I called them again. Dr. Ferguson again, helped us as much as he could even though we couldn't see him for an exam. The front desk was also so amazing and helpful, their communication was great and made me feel like my bird and I were being taken care of, even though I called and emailed them probably way too much. Thank you Dr. Ferguson and staff!

This has been our regular vet for over 10 years. The service is amazing and the staff all really care about my dog. I cannot recommend AK Veterinary Clinic enough. They have always managed to fit us in when my dog needs urgent care and keep in contact with updates. I will stick with them for all my future pets.

First vet appointment with the team; I arrived 15 minutes early and called from the parking lot to check in per their COVID protocols and. discovered I was at the wrong location! Team was helpful and squeezed me into their morning schedule once I arrived at the correct address 8 minutes late. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff; highly recommend!

I love this place and highly recommend them to all of my friends. The staff are all amazing! They always seem to make it happen when me and my fur babies are in need. I love that my dog likes to go there. She is never afraid to go for a visit. And I LOVE that the vets will actually sit on the floor to live on my dog while they do their examination. The techs are great too! I can't say enough good stuff about these people and this business.
