The vet is amazing and I only have great things to say. They always have what's best in mind for the animal and won't do unnecessary things like other places. My dogs actually enjoy going to the vet and that should say it all. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable about pretty much anything. Highly recommend!

Had to take my 17 year old Yorkie to have her remaining teeth removed. The procedure was completed quickly and she is doing great. More pep to her step.

After calling many vets, I finally got one that accepted us right away. Bodhi had been vomiting for 24 hours and was getting weaker. Agape was the best vet experience I ever had. They took us at the last minute, and were so kind and helpful and affordable. The treatment was on target, His health is improving.

They are wonderful and welcoming. Fully committed to the care of my dog. Communicated what the issues were and the treatment plan. Could not be happier.

We have been trying to get an appointment for over a month now for 2 of our 4 dogs. Every clinic has been difficult at best to get in to within a decent time frame and some downright rude. Our neighbor suggested Agape so we called them. We got in the next week we are thrilled so far! The ladies on staff were all very nice and accommodating, allowing me to walk my Dobermans into and out of the clinic (as they are powerful and nervous making them a real challenge at times), even considering our present world situation.

They made sure they kept us informed of each dog as they went through the process, coming out to our vehicle frequently. We forgot to bring there records (since it was our first time) and the lady working the front desk was so nice about calling our previous Vet, (out of state), to get our records, it was a relief. The Vet tech and the Vet herself were very kind and seemed to genuinely care about our animals well being and addressed our concerns.

While it is located off of a road, it is a 25 mph zone and considering what we have seen at other Vets in the area, it is fairly quite in comparison to others. While off the beaten path for most, it was a real blessing to find a small, local Vet that obviously cares, is in a fairly quiet location, reasonably priced and close to Haymarket. A definite hidden gem!

This clinic is always so caring about my daddy's dog Kratos, from the vet to the staff. I love this clinic and their heart.

I stopped using Agape years ago and finally decided to go back to see Dr. Lepene, whom is amazing! Dr. Lepene is professional and packed with knowledge. I have a dachshund puppy that was brought there with the litter a few weeks earlier. She received the deworming and vaccines, and I was given a vaccine appointment reminder. I called and spoke to a lady who informed me that she could only fit me in the next day, if I JUST needed a distemper.

I let her know very clearly that was the only thing I was coming in for. It was just a distemper booster, she didn't need an exam. It is supposed to be a quick shot and you're out the door. My husband asked me right before leaving our house to take our baby for the booster, what the cost was going to be. I let him know it would only be the distemper and you're out the door.

He called me confused and furious when he walked out with a $140-$160 bill. I had him send me the bill and neither one of us REQUESTED or APPROVED what was done. I had an exam fee, a Bordetella vaccine.which we didn't need! We are NEVER going to board. She also isn't going to be around a lot of other dogs period because of her petite size, we have to protect her.

We also got charged for a fecal exam, when she already had one. I get puppies and worms are serious, however, you give the deworming treatment a few times after the first fecal exam, then after, if the owner feels the pup needs to be checked again, maybe the pups have diarrhea. fine. It's my money, these things should be discussed prior with the clients.

Long and short, I called a calmly protested these charges. I told DR. GRAY that I specifically said I was only coming for the distemper, and that's the only reason we were fit in. Whatever mix-up in there that happened, not my fault. She said she would remove the exam charge. I then said you're also not going to charge me for the Bordetella and the reasons why.

Before I could even go into the fecal exam and that charge, she yelled at me and said "fine! I'll remove the Bordetella charge too! BUT I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE HERE AGAIN". She then hung up the phone on me. I let the fecal slide because she's is RIDICULOUSLY UNPROFESSIONAL and had me extremely upset at a wedding. Again, Dr. Lepene is great! However, based on past experiences, most than just this one incident, I highly recommend to only see Dr. Lepene or take your babies elsewhere.

I did NOT deserve this type of treatment, especially after she told my husband "We are a BIG fan of Casie here, she's a hard worker". If you respected me as a human and a client, I wouldn't be writing this right now.

Agape is amazing! They found out Lana had Addison's disease after no other vet could help her when she would get sick. They are very caring and helpful. They work with you on appointment times and rescheduling quickly. Even living further away, we will always choose Agape.

Best vet in Northern Virginia! Dr. Gray is extremely knowledgeable and very caring with all her patients. The staff is professional and helpful and they go above and beyond to care for the animals that come to their office. I highly recommend Agape Vet Clinic.

I'm with Erin - I find a negative review of the Clinic and it's staff incomprehensible. I have taken my pets to Dr. Gray for decades and trust her judgement implicitly. Currently, I make the 1 hour drive out to The Plains (and would go further!) after being disappointed in several of McLean's offerings. In one case, a closer vet told me my dog did NOT have a post-surgical infection when it was obvious, even to me, that he did! Dr.

Gray saved his foot. Her extensive experience and depth of knowledge is unlike any vet I've dealt with, save one overseas, who sadly has passed. She tells you what she is certain of, AND when she isn't sure (a rare occurrence). I have traveled extensively and lived abroad, seeing far too many different vets when away from the DC area. Dr.

Gray and her entire staff are a cut above the rest in compassion and friendliness, as well as expertise. They analyze bloodwork on-site and have a full complement of essential medications on hand. Surgeries have gone off without a hitch. Currently, they have been treating my senior JRT, who has a host of complex issues. Every time I think I'm going to lose her, Dr.

Gray and staff pull off another minor miracle. Moreover, they work their magic on ME when I'm stressed out over my fur babies. I also trust them to tell me when "it's time" but for now, my girl may be old & frail, but she's still bright eyed and bossy, thanks to Agape!

I have e been going to this vet clinic for over a decade now and they have always been extremely helpful and professional with taking care of my pets. There have been numerous times where they have saved my pets life in an emergency. My pets love all the vets and the techs and are truly excited to see them when we go each time!

I have been patronizing Agape Vet Clinic for nearly 20 years for my veterinarian needs. Dr. Katherine Gray has provided exceptional care for my cat L.T., who lived to 19 years, and my two current kitties, Maya and Sabrina. She provides solid, common-sense advice on keeping my feline roommates healthy and happy, and also showed great kindness and compassion when L.T. was at the end stage of his life.

In my experience, the staff at Agape has always been friendly and helpful (with the exception of one male vet who worked there briefly--very briefly--about six years ago). I attribute my cats' good health to the care they have gotten there, and would recommend the clinic to anyone who loves his or her animals.

Having seen the previous reviews I feel compelled to give a more comprehensive review of this vet clinic. They don't turn away emergency sick pet visits, take time to answer any/all questions about pet health, etc., and aren't pushy about service or product sales. Dr. Gray and Dr. Ashby are the vets we see most frequently (both are excellent) but everyone at Agape has been nothing but kind, professional, helpful, and knowledgable with my dogs and cats.

My pets are happy and healthy and when my dogs realize that they're at the vet they get excited and can't wait to go in. There is no better endorsement than a pup who wants to see his vet. Dutch, Ashby, and Aloysius love Agape.

I would never take any of my pets back here. The building is disgusting and dirty. The fish tank in the waiting room looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years and there is dirt everywhere. I understand this is a vet and all kinds of animals are walking around but would it hurt to get the spider webs out of the corners once in a while. We had to put down my dog and cat (not at the same time) and all of the staff was so insensitive to this, and we're constantly trying to change our mind about putting them down when they were clearly in pain and could no longer move or eat.

The lady at the front desk was very rude and condescending to us when we were trying to pay for the visit, and also kept trying to push us to do something else instead of putting them down. The vet was also very rude and unhelpful. I will never go back here. They made a hard and sad situation even worst.

The one review that you see could not be more inaccurate! These people are the best and have taken care of my two little dogs since they were tiny. They are so patient and loving with animals and the people are just fine.no problems! Never hesitate to take the pets you love to these people as I can assure you they do care about animals and will not pump them full of cat treats! Very satisfied pet owner and I will never go anywhere else!

I went here on a recommendation. I drove down the day before because I wanted to make sure they would be ok with my vocal dog. They assured me they would be. Well, we saw Dr. Gallagher. She totally hated my dog. She made all kinds of facial expressions and wouldn't try to talk with him in the room. They took him out of the room and I told her I could tell she didn't like my dog and she said that wasn't the case so I continued on with the appointment.

Little did I know they were shoving CAT treats in my DOG so he wouldn't bark. Now, 4 days later my dog is still so sick with diarrhea from those treats. I had to take him to another vet for IV fluids. I plan to call them to complain. If I could give 0 stars I would. This vet has no business taking care of animals. I wish I had seen this other review before I tortured my poor dog.

I am still in shock and grief after taking my beloved dog, Miss Daisy to Agape to be put to sleep. She was 15, had been ill and was dehydrating. I didn't want her to suffer anymore. I wanted her to just go to sleep. They took her from me to put a catheter in. Well, i could hear her screaming for me. I went out of the room and was not allowed to go to her. 15 minutes of this screaming because they were having problems getting it in.

When they finally bring her to me, she is crying and I try to calm her, next thing i know, she jerks like a seizure, cries, her head snapped. she was gone. I feel like I let my Best Friend down by taking her to this place. I liked Dr. Gray, but, she was not there. The Vet that put my Daisy down, did not know her. This made a very sad day even worse. And, I paid 89.00 for them to torture my dog to death.
