A friend took a small sick, malnourished kitten that come from a home she was pet sitting for (it was taken in as a stray), and I had it in my care for the 2 days, trying to force feed and hoping for recovery. I suggested a vet appt because I thought the kitten was doing worse, and didn’t think the kitten would survive and thought she needed a second opinion. She had me meet her at Abbott Animal Clinic. They were NOT honest with her with regards to the fact that the kitten had almost no chance of survival. Instead, they wanted to make a buck, giving her hope and and running the bill up to $815 before the 12 wk old, 1-1/2 lb kitten died. Now they are expecting her, who lives off SSI, to figure out how to pay her credit card bill of the $815! Most any other vet would have told her the kitten had almost no chance for survival. Abbott only wanted to make money and not be honest about chances of survival.

I took my fur baby in not knowing that she would need emergency surgery. The team at Abbott Animal Clinic immediately took great care of her and for that I am grateful. Thanks to all the wonderful staff there from Coco and I.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG WITH THEM! MY FRIENDS NEW BABY CANE CORSO WAS LEFT WITH THEM AND THEY SAID SHE "ESCAPED" or "GOT STOLEN" HOW DOES A DOG GET STOLEN OR ESCAPE FROM A CLINICS CARE!?!? IT IS YOUR JOB TO ENSURE ANIMALS SAFETY. THEN WHEN POLICE WERE CALLED THEY LIED SAYING THEY WOULD NOT LEAVE AND WERE RUDE! MY FRIEND AND MOM ENDED UP GETTING ARRESTED WHEN THEY SHOWED NO SIGN OF AGGRESSION. I WOULE NOT ADVICE ANYBODY TO BRING THEIR ANIMAL HERE. NOW THEY ARE OUT OF A DOG AND FACING FELONY CHARGES!

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE! If zero stars were possible. I'd ask for negative stars. This clinic has boarding but will lose your baby on the first day without telling you. The problem could've been fixed on the first day but they decided to hold the secret for A WEEK! After trying to pick up the puppy, you'll get arrested for "being too aggressive". Save yourself the problem & lawyer fees.

WARNING!DO NOT BRING ANY OF YOUR PETS HERE! My sister went on vacation and dropped 4 dogs off and when she got back from vacation they only had 3! They apparently "LOST" her 16 week old cane corso puppy. She was devistated. They showed no remorse very little explanation on what happened to the puppy and had the audacity to still charge her for the stay of the 3 other dogs.

Her mother in law even had a panic attack and had to go to the hospital. My sister called the police to make a police report and the police ended up arresting my sisters girlfriend and her mom for "irate" behavior. They were emotionally distraught and were demanding answers for their missing fury family member. Still no signs of the dog. No videos of the dog walking out of the facility. Absolutely nothing. If you care about your pets DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!

I have a rescue dog. The rescue group I worked with made the appointment for Abbott and my puppy to be fixed. Apparently the rescue group gave the wrong name of the puppy since they handle other puppies that are getting fixed. However the lady who met with me at the desk, Modesta, was so rude to me. She insisted that my dog did not have an appointment.

Rather than take an extra moment to contact the rescue group and find out what might have gone wrong which would be good customer service she refused to take my puppy instead. We finally got that straightened out but then when my husband went to get our puppy his name is also on the documentation that I completed for the vet close parentheses they said he could not take the puppy said he was not with the rescue.

I could hear her shouting at my husband through the phone. I have never seen such poor customer service in my life! And especially when this is supposed to be a place that is filled with love. I will never ever use their service and in fact I would like to reach the owners of this company to tell them what terrible staff they have working for them

If i could leave zero stars i would. Took our pet rat for an emergency appointment. Called on the way. They scheduled us. We got there, guy came in with scheduled appointment after us, he was taken straight back to a room while the lady watched our pet decline, seize, and then pass away in the waiting room. We kept telling her he was getting worse and dying and she just kept blowing us off.

Whoever owns Abbott veterinarian service needs to know what terrible staff you have working there. My poor puppy was supposed to have been fixed yesterday. Weighing only 4 pounds, she could not drink or eat since 9 PM the day before. However, they did not have her listed for the appointment. The rescue service I worked with were the ones who made the appointment and apparently put the wrong name of the pet.

However it would’ve only taken a few minutes for that front office person to have called the rescue service to determine why the name wasn’t listed. They were also extremely rude and were shouting at my husband when he came to pick her up the next day.

Not a bad place, seem a bit pricey but I don't normally go there. Asked for a simple service it was provided they were able to provide, after over priced shots. None the less, the boarding of my dog was successful. The boarding fee was 15$ a day, but with required shots it jumped up to 286$ for the 3 day boarding.

Do not take your animal here! We took our dog here because of Neurological issues- (walking in circles, head tilt, falling over etc) First, a girl came out and got our Dog and took him back to the boarding facility. why? She got confused and didn't know he was there for a vet visit. The same girl then proceeded to help us in the exam room as if she was a vet tech and then revealed that she was 17 and still in high school. Finally, the vet briefly examines our Dog and says it is possibly Vestibular Disease (doesn't give us any info on it) and says they need to start by keeping him over night.

They then show us a bill for 1,000 dollars with all of the services they HAVE to do. We look over the bill and see a large charge for X-RAYS of the head/brain. X-Rays do not show Vestibular Disease and wouldn't show anything else! We would have needed a CT or MRI at a specialist to see any tumors etc! It's just about money here. They didn't even give us any prescriptions for him in the mean time! We took our Dog home after spending $160 dollars without medicine or any compassion. Their prices are insane and way better vets in the area! This place is all about money!

The people here are pretty nice and the prices are decent. I appreciate how late they're open. They definitely do seem to suggest the most expensive treatments (like new, expensive heartworm medicine) when cheaper ones are available. The nurse that was there was so old I thought my dog was going to break her as she tried to hold him down on the table for shots. It's an alright place. Not my main vet, but good for vaccines and late night appointments when I can't make my schedule work with my regular vet

This clinic constantly helps our organization, Houston Beagle Rescue, and they are always so accommodating and successful at dealing with the multiple issues of abandoned dogs that often need extra care. I am very surprised at these negative reviews because it is not at all consistent with our experiences at this clinic.

They are just money hungry I was told 1500 for a splint or 4000 for surgery I. hose the heater option of course but I still end up paying over 4000 for just the splint and my dog has to go back every 3 weeks 4 to 600 more dollars a visit its highway robbery all the 400 to 600 is to rewrap his foot every time he needs it changed it's sad how ppl take advantage of you because your animal is apart of your family so they know you will do what you have too to pay the. Cost to keep your animal alive and well. Just sad! Ppl!

We called to make an appointment to get our dog's teeth cleaned. We brought our dog in for his appointment 2 days later. We were quoted a price of $221. We left but received a call within 10 minutes that we needed to show proof that he was fully vaccinated. I printed out his records and brought them back. Everything was good. After 5 hours I called to see how he was doing.

I was told he was great, and just waiting on doctor to come back to release him. We were called 2 hours later he was ready. When we went to pick him up, we were told the bill was $385 ($20 was for his nail clipping). We were shocked about the $140+ plus addition to the original quote. It was explained that because of his age (being over 7) that he needed blood work before getting anesthesia.

We understand that needed to be done but why was this never discussed with us. There was numerous opportunities to tell us this. To make matters even worse we were told if we had done the procedure on a Wednesday there would have been a discount. We are thankful that our dog's cleaning and clipping went well but very unhappy and disappointed about the poor customer service. Somebody should have contacted us before any additional services that require more money!

YOUR PET WILL DIE HERE. After surgery and 3 botched stitchings, I was informed by another vet that my dog had a serious infection preventing him from healing. Abbott Clinic saw my dog 4 times and had no clue, and blamed us for not taking care of the wounds. STAY AWAY from here. My dog is now dead. Also, they leave critical care pets overnight with no assistance at all. PLEASE, go to a competent vet for non-routine services. This place is a death wish.

Would NOT recommend taking your dog here. The doctor tried to over charge me. Said they needed to SEDATE my dog OVER NIGHT. for an ear infection. tied a string around my dogs mouth (acting as some sort of muzzle) during his "appointment". and the assistants had no idea what they were doing. My dog struggles with ear infections yearly. and typically an ear cytology is performed, and tests are done to determine the severity of the infection.

This doctor just looked in his ear, basically scolded me because it was infected, didn't do any tests to determine what kind of medicine to prescribe. and just said he needed multiple shots and whatever else. and that it was going to be around $400 for everything. Got a second opinion at VCA. ear cytology and proper tests done, appropriate medicine given. $200. And NO sedation needed.

Terrible veterinarian clinic! Mean staff, inferior vet, and disgusting office. They are forceful with your pets, the tech helps down/ restrained my 4 month old kitten with more force than necessary even when the vet wasn't in the room and she wasn't being examined. I had to literally grab her from this tech, saying I'll hold her while we wait ( which she got irritated when and immediately left the room).

The vet either didn't look at my pets vaccination record or didn't know what the brand name was because he told me she wasn't vaccinated for this virus and that's why she was sick. I had to look up this vaccination and tell him this covers her for that virus. he didn't want to spend more than one minute in the room and clearly got irritated when I asked why he was prescribing treatment she literally had 6 days ago ( an antibiotic shot and pills) when she has a virus and any other bacterial super infections over the virus would be taken care of with the first shot ( which lasts two weeks, not one day like he told me). Incompetent!

I am more than willing to pay for whatever my sick pet needs and he used fear tactics to get me to say yes to the entire bill "this is my treatment plan, you can take it or not. But this other vet may have missed something and wouldn't you want to know if they did" literally ran the same stool sample I got 6 days ago and the same antibiotic she got 6 days ago, with no explaination why except they "may have missed it".

That's not proper medical care. The clinic room itself was disgusting, with stains on the walls and floors with a ripped/torn stained towel for the exam table. Please be advised not to go here!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. I had took my 2 month old puppy here 3 times and all of those experiences kept leading to the worst. The first time I called around 3pm to let them know my dog looks like he was feeling super sick and I didn't know what was wrong with him. I took him to the vet a few hours later due to the fact that they take "appointments only" and the closest appointment they had that day was 7pm.

I took him in, and the first thing was that they charged me the check in fee. They told me I was suppose to get charged $59.50 but because I came in after 6pm, they charged me $80! I was never told that over the phone, but paid the fee anyway. they brought him in the room about 20 minutes later. With examination and tests that they did with the dog, they charged me another $350+!

I paid it, of course, due to the fact I was scared of what was wrong with my puppy. He then was told he had hookworms. I then went back a week later with an appointment, because he still had hookworms, and when I went in, they didn't have me in the system for an appointment! They had me waiting for 45 min- 1 hour in the lobby due to the fact that I "didn't make an appointment"!

That was really ridiculous of them to forget to schedule me. Oh, and the 3rd visit? They gave him the rabies shot without letting me know and charged me for it. Thank you Abbott clinic for letting me know how much you care about our pets. VCA Countryside Animal Hospital is MUCH better and charge around the same price you guys do with BETTER service.

I took my young vibrant female rat in for a minor mammary tumor removal surgery. I dropped her off for a morning surgery. They delayed it until 8-9pm. They gave her too much anesthesia and failed to properly close her sutures then left her overnight to bleed out. They called me in the morning to say she died. Then called back 30 mins later to say she still had a heartbeat then called back 2 hours later to say she actually was now dead. They then charged me for thier incompetence and cruelty. Never used this place. They should be shutdown. Filed a complaint with the state board.

The staff and Dr. Majeed are so friendly. He took the time to give me an entire tour of the facility- which is very clean and I felt totally comfortable leaving my pet with them. Dr Majeed was great with my cat. Will be recommending friends and family to bring their pets here!

This place is EXTREMELY ALL ABOUT MONEY!!!!! I took my dog here after he was attacked by stray dogs and the doctor and staffs main concern was money. Money was NOT a problem yet the sense of urgency was not there at all.

I came in for a suture removal for a rescue dog today and I am not sure about all the negative reviews. The place was clean. The only smell was a typical animal smell that you find at all vet clinics. The kind woman behind the desk was friendly and talkative. She even helped me with something (from her own car) that I could place in my car since the dog vomited twice before my arrival. I would return based on my experience.

No Stars!!! Please don't take your animal here! Our cat wasn't eating and he charged us $1000 to kept him over night and told us it was a uti. We got a second opinion a couple weeks after giving him meds and the problem still not fixed and found he had a huge mass in his intestines! He didn't think to check his stomach or intestines and because of that our cat was suffering longer after we trusted that man! The 2nd vet no way that would have appeared that quickly!!! Worst vet ever!!!!
