A to Z Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve Midland, TX, Permian Basin, Eastern New Mexico and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care.
At the A to Z Veterinary Clinic in Midland, our dedicated team of skilled veterinarians and supporting staff work every day to make your pet's health their priority! Our animal clinic was founded in 2000 by Dr. Jessica Todia, an accomplished vet who has been involved in the veterinary field since she was 15, and her husband, Dr. Tommy Wilson, who is also an experienced equestrian vet.
Our purpose is to provide exotic animals a sanctuary with proper husbandry and veterinary care when owners are no longer able to care for them. Since 2007, we have taken in birds, reptiles, small pocket pets, spiders, ferrets, turtles, and tortoises. We support community education about exotic species by classroom visits, boy/girl scouts, National Pet Week, and other events. Come visit us at Peeps And Creeps! You can also help our cause by shopping from top name stores on http://www.iGive.com/PeepsandCreeps.
A to Z Veterinary Clinic believes in the bond between owners and their pets. For this reason, we will do everything we can to ensure our patients have long and healthy lives. We work hard to ensure our patients receive the very best veterinary care by learning all we can and staying up to date in the newest advances.
Pet insurance pays, partly or in total, for veterinary treatment of the insured person's ill or injured pet. Some policies will pay out when the pet dies, or if it is lost or stolen. As veterinary medicine is increasingly employing expensive medical techniques and drugs, and owners have higher expectations for their pets' health care and standard of living than previously, the market for pet insurance has increased.

Only reason I don’t give a 5
I have been taking my Juliana pig
Here for a year now and I have yet to meet her Doctor. I have asked to meet Doctor and response is they are busy. I understand
But I like to see who I am paying to care for my baby? Is it too much to ask for just a quick hello?

They finished killing my reptile. Was getting treated for parasites and for a possible liver issues? Dehydration? Adenovirus? Pin worms? (Point is, Dr. Todia is not knowledgeable in reptiles and just guessed so many things at once when it came to the diagnosis of the reptile) Left my reptile overnight at their clinic for treatment. Picked him up and noticed a big cut on the reptiles jaw (from the inside) my reptile's teeth/jaw was lifted.

So painful for him! A cut in his mouth that BIG, eventually led him to not eat at all and declined even quicker. They don't know how to properly open a bearded dragon's mouth. They use sharp object to open their mouths and I'm convinced that is what happened with my pet. They never owned up to it either. Eventually had go euthenize my pet reptile @ another clinic. Happened a year ago, nightmare felt like it just happened yesterday.

I've been using A to Z for years. Dr. Todia is the best. Last year my little Yorkie was rattle snake bit twice. Dr. T pulled her thru with no after effects. Just like every one in the "oil patch" keeping help is a problem. They have a new office manager that is helping that problem. A to Z is the best in this area.

Two of my kitties were born here back in 2004. They continually received quality care from Dr. Todia. We moved away and after years of being gone recently returned to West Texas and A to Z as one my fur babies was nearing the end of her life. Dr. Vree was so caring and professional throughout the emotional experience of having to say goodbye to my precious Logan after 17 years. It's always clear that the entire staff cares deeply about animals and the services they are providing.

I see a lot of people with good reviews and some people with bad reviews? Now I do hear this place is a good place but if You have insurance on your dog which most of you should do and your Animal gets hurt or injured then you can file claim and the company of the clinic would have to pay or reimbursed.

DO NOT USE! They charged me $500 to fix my dogs ear, put the dog through surgery and the same day they take the pins out the ear swells back up where we started, then they give it medicine that makes it sick and charge me $300 to verify it was the medicine after trying to dismiss me and send me home. Then when I call to speak with the dr, the front desk yells at me how nobody gets to talk on the phone until 6:00pm and that they don't even get to take lunch on fridays.

I ask them if they are going to charge me for a second surgery to repair the ear or if they will make it right and the office manager tells me that I will have to pay. They do not stand behind their work. Now I am out $800 and the dog has the same issue we started with! Read the negative comments because they are accurate for the service you will receive.

Dr. Vree is a great vet! He gave my puppy with parvo the best care I could imagine. He kept us updated on her progress all through the week she was there. He let us know whenever there was need for an additional lab or treatment that needed to be done and always discussed other potential options. I think their prices were very reasonable and I spent about $1-1.5k less than I thought it'd be after reading about typical costs for similar treatment on Google.

I also took my other dog and cat to him for their regular checkups and they received the same great care from him, didn't add any weird tests or shots for them, just what was necessary. The prices for those checkups were also less than I thought they'd be based on my past experience at other vet clinics. I'm glad my friends and neighbors recommended this clinic to me.

Ive had alot of dogs and alot of veterinarians, and they've all been good in thier own way, but the first time I walked into A to Z, I knew my dogs and I were in the right place. Dr. Todia is the best vet in the west. She cares for our animals and not just money. You can see that very easy with her. Shes very experienced in her world and Ive never had a bad visit there. All you have to do is try her one time and you'll be hooked. Guaranteed!

I LOVE the vet that took care of my Molly (she's a 5 yr old terrier mix). I think the vets name was Adam. He answered all of my questions about anxiety medications and my concerns about her breathing problems. When it was time to check out I couldn't believe how reasonable their prices are. I would have paid more just because of how awesome they are! Molly had shots, a check up, and medication refill.

The vet I use to take Molly to in Georgia would have charged me over $200 but A to Z charged me way under $200. I wish so badly I could keep taking her their but I had to move us back to GA. A to Z care so much about the pets and their owners and I love how it isn't all about how much money they can get out of the owners. I could keep going on about how awesome they are but I think you get the point. Thank you A to Z! Y'all are amazing and such a blessing to Midland!

I am so appreciative to this clinic be cause my dog was so sick and needed to be seen but every other clinic was booked. A to Z squeezed my dog in and I am so, so grateful. My first experience with the veterinarian that saw my dog was very pleasant. Explained everything to me in detail about what was needed to have a diagnosis and afterward showed me x-rays and explained what the issue was and the treatment plan.

I couldn't have met a nicer veterinarian, honestly (Dr. Vree). The best experience I've ever had in a Vet Clinic. I'm not one to leave reviews but I felt strongly that I needed to share my experience. I'm so grateful for this clinic and the kindness in seeing my dog who was very ill, when most the other animal clinics in town would have told me they had no appointments until one or two weeks out. (This did happen)

I have never in my life given a review. But I had to with them. I wish could give zero stars. First, walking into the clinic smelled horrible even with their pet candles they sell, my dogs first instinct was to run out of the place and I wish I would've listened. I took my dog in just to get his teeth cleaned. They asked me to drop him off at 8 and pick him up at 4.

So I did. I was already nervous because he'd be under anesthesia. I get there right at 4 to pick him up. I'm sitting waiting nervously. I look over to find the vet dragging and choking him with their rope. My stomach drops in anger. I get him and I struggle taking that rope off to put his collar back on. Then I notice poop all over him! I'm enraged.

I look at the vet and ask have y'all taken Him out at all today? She's like uhmm well. I understand he went through a procedure and he's scared and he has to wake up out of being groggy. But check up on your patients! He obviously woke up and needed to go and was ignored. My dog will hold it until he really can't. All the vet says is well I can take him back so one of the techs can Clean him up.

I was like no it's fine he's not going back there again, He's scared enough I'll bathe him when we get home. She walks away giving me no information on how my dog did during the procedure, no after care directions. Nothing. I go up to the front desk and ask for that person again since I want to know how things went. She comes to the front desk instead of coming out and speaking to me.

And is like yes? I was like sorry I didn't hear you say anything about how his procedure went. She's like it went well, we had to pull a tooth. Then a blank stare. I walked out. I came to this vet because of their good reviews. I DO NOT recommend them. I felt they were unprofessional and without empathy. This is my dog who I see as my child and what we went through was disgusting.

I did some research before picking this veterinarian. The reviews were good but after seeing them yesterday, I feel they deserve nothing short of all 5 star reviews. They were amazing. They did a thorough exam of one of my dogs and kept me informed every step of the way. We started our treatment plan yesterday and I feel so comfortable knowing my dog is in good hands. I feel so blessed to have found such an awesome place. The staff was so friendly and patient and knowledgeable. I recommend them to anyone looking for a great veterinarian.

What a great place! They are not just a clinic, but also a rehab center. They were able to get our pet rat, Mr. Lewis, walking again after suffering an injured back. The cost wasn't too much either, considering "it's just a rat." I would highly recommend them.

Great people giving great service. My friend sent her dog there for water therapy after a mild stroke. Great communication and an amazing improvement in his condition. Her children were thrilled to get their baby boy back.

The staff works with you when your fur baby feels bad and just needs a little TLC from Dr. Todia. Dr. Todia takes time with your fur baby to assess what is going on and most of all she understands and puts up with us neurotic mommies!

So disappointed in this clinic. They have such good reviews and good word of mouth reputation. My poor mini schnauzer has hurt his back leg and cannot even walk on it and is in terrible pain. Everyone told me to call this clinic because they are wonderful and very compassionate. I called and the receptionist told me she had no appointments until the second week of August.

There is nothing wonderful or compassionate about not seeing my poor puppy. I understand Midland is busy right now and if it was an appointment for his shots I certainly would have understood but to deny a poor dog treatment for an injury is just plain cruel to me.

I am one of A to Z's many out of town patients, and for good reason. Sometimes word of mouth is the best advertisement for any local companies and it's no different for A to Z. I would have never found them if it weren't for some very nice strangers who recommended them to me when they noticed Harleys limp I had been trying to get diagnosed at our local vet.

Our local vet did nothing to diagnose Harley's limp or offer any tests other than the X-rays they took which they claimed showed nothing. They prescribed pain medicine and sent me home without a follow up plan. So, I requested a copy of the X-Rays and made an appointment with A to Z Veterinary Clinic. I have read some of the negative reviews about the staff and front desk receptionists before I went to the appointment, but I thought I would see for myself.

Customer service is a big deal but if the vet is as good as people say it out weighs the customer service. Well, I had no issues with the staff, in fact, it has only taken them one visit to recognize me and Harley, my 1 1/2 year old mastiff mix as soon as we walk in the door. Dr. Jessica Todia was very impressive from the start. She gladly used the x-rays taken from Angel Vet clinic in Odessa and did a thorough physical exam on Harley.

She even went as far as taking Harley outside to see her walk and run. She developed a plan to confirm her thoughts on a diagnosis which came back as OCD of her shoulder and elbow. Knowing that surgery is probably not an option due to the very expensive and technical nature of the procedure she went right into researching other treatment options. It seems that thinking out of the box is a highly positive trait she uses when diagnosing and treating her patients.

She is currently researching Platelet Rich Plasma injections as a treatment option for Harleys OCD. A combination of great customer service and an awesome veterinarian make this place tremendously recommendable. Don't let the negative reviews impact your decisions to visit this vet especially if you have had a hard time getting a diagnosis and treatment plan as I have at other clinics.

We had to take our little Yorkie in for some allergies problems and Dr Todia and her staff are so nice and caring. We were in and out in a few short minutes. Unfortunately the meds we were first given gave our yorkie an allergic reaction but I called them and they got us back in right away and since Dr Todia was in the middle of another pet's surgery Dr Wilson gave her an allergy shot.

They are both awesome, the vet techs are wonderful and they help you get your furbabies fixed back up in no time. We are definitely making A-Z the vet clinic for our current and any future furbabies we have. I highly recommend them! While your in the waiting room they have a few critters you can see such a fish tanks and little birds. This place really cares about your pets.

I absolutely love this clinic! Dr. Todia and Rose are very kind and shout out to Rachel who handles the reception area very efficiently. It was my first visit with them I did not feel like just another number the staff answered all of my questions they were patient with the same tune my cat was singing. Very reasonable price! I highly recommend this clinic for all your animal needs.

I'd like to say that A to Z has never been anything but good to our pets over the past 10 years. I have never written a negative response about them and appreciate their business greatly. They walked me through many trails with my shelties and were very sweet when I lost my old ones. I'd recommend them!

I would like to praise the prompt and professional way in which Dr. Todia responded to our family's veterinarian needs. After a recent procedure performed on some rescued animals resulted in higher than anticipated costs, she clarified and explained each aspect of the treatment and even waived some of the fees to reduce the costs associated with finding homes for these animals. I cannot thank her enough and highly recommend her practice.

I was not impressed. The office was so hot and not even fans. The smell was so terrible, it almost knocked me down coming through the front door. Assistant not very knowledgeable and I didn't get to speak with the vet. She in and out so fast. I thought she was coming back, but nope. Not very friendly on the phone and the lady up front was not very nice either.

I asked her how soon they recommend getting puppies spayed and neutered? Her response was. Don't you think you should get all their shots before you think about surgery? Wow, really! Don't look in the nasty fish tank up front. I couldn't believe the fish were still alive. I will not go back. They got too much going on to trust them with my babies.

Saved my dog when she had a broken femur, now she's good as new! Love both vets the lady and the man! Funny and caring. It's obvious they love the animals. Definitely will be going back (if needed, hopefully not) and recommending to people I know.

After a horrible experience with another vet in town, where they implied that I hurt my cat, this vet took the time to figure what was actually wrong with him, and assured me that I did not hurt him. Not only that, she cleaned out his ears and checked his entire body. She did not make me feel rushed and she had a ton of compassion for me and my cat.

The staff at the desk were very friendly, as well as the vet's technician. Everyone was wonderful. I feel like my kitten will be very well taken care of here and I will definitely be using this vet from now on.

We take our dogs and horses here and really like the service we get. Never have to wait long and the Vets are both very nice! The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because the office staff isn't very friendly!

I have been using A-Z for at least 6 years. Dr. Todia's knowlege, care and compassion, and that of her team, can't be topped. The non- profit organization, Peeps and Creeps, helps many wild animal to be rehabilitated and released back into the wild. It is one organization that deserves support. I trust Dr. Todia and her team with all my entire brood, from rats, to cats, to dogs (exotic animals is one of their specialties).

Terrible service, the doctor is rude, medicine mix up more than once, out of date charts, misdiagnosis twice, over charged twice. Need I say more, plus they had beer out on the counters in the back.

I called early in the morning to try to get my elderly partner in crime in due to a constant cough (like coughing up a hair-ball) . He was worked in and was told to be there at 3:30 well somehow I goofed and got there at 2:30 no problem they got us in quickly. We have used them for a long time and I cannot brag enough on them! Very friendly staff and the Dr's and amazing! Love love this place!

I started taking my Sugar Glider children to Dr.Todia a while back and recently been having to deal with some bigger health issues for my oldest baby. I must say the vet techs and Dr.Todia have been the BEST every single time I have gone or even called for some questions and concerns. They are all so knowledgeable and caring with my little babies. Thank y'all so so much for taking such great care of my babies!!!

We visited for the 1st time today after seeing a couple not so great vets in the area and I now know why we were still looking.... Because we had not found A-Z and Dr. Todia yet!!!! They are absolutely amazing in every way! Even though it was the end of the day, no one was in a hurry and she answered all our questions and loved on our dogs and made sure we had exactly what they need!

She not only made our dogs feel special, but us too! It was the smoothest vet visit we have ever had and we will for sure be back! She went above and beyond for us. Our dogs love her and her staff.....and so do we!!!!

Iv been to a - z with a few of my exotic critters and have to say I'm SO blessed that our west Texas town has a vet with so much knowledge in exotic animals. Iv had a very sick ferret that unfortunately was too sick to make it however we called at 9 o'clock or 10 o'clock at night and the vet met us out there Immediately along with a tech (a few years ago) she did everything to make her last few moments comfortable and gave us advice while we made the drive to the clinic.

She also gave me advice if I got another ferret to adopt and told me all about ferret adoption agency which I had no idea there were such a thing at the time and also let me know pet stores will often wing the baby ferrets off of there moms too soon and they usually have weakened immune systems from it. I came in again for a check up when I adopted two ferrets and thanked her for letting me know about ferret adoption agencies.

On a separate occasion, I brought in my bearded dragon for after I noticed she wasn't eating or defecating, they were able to get a sample of feces and found she had a bacteria that was common in water and treat her right away. Again, awesome vet who knows what they're doing!! I haven't been back in a few years due to not having any exotic animals and moving away but will always be thankful and spread the word of their amazing staff! Thank you A - Z!!
