We are a full service veterinary hospital serving all pet medical and surgical needs except overnight emergency care. We focus on combining heartfelt compassion, quality of care and value based pricing. We love dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, sugar gliders, hedge hogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, and reptiles of all shapes and colors. Call for an appointment, or simply walk in but be aware appointments do take priority if there is a timing conflict. Emergencies take priority over everything.

Eric Hansen, DVM
Doctor Hansen grew up in Provo, Utah. He has known he wanted to be a veterinarian from a very early age. As a youngster, he cared for his family's pets and as a Boy Scout, he completed the Veterinary Science Merit Badge. He graduated from Timpview High School and BYU with a BS in Animal Science. Dr. Hansen attended Veterinary Medical School at Washington State University, graduating with honors in 2001. He then attended Texas A&M University, studying veterinary pathology from 2001 to 2003. In 2003 he returned to Utah Valley and took over management of the Veterinary Hospital inside PetSmart in 2004. He left employment there in September 2010 to start A Caring Vet.
Dr. Hansen currently volunteers with Great Basin Wildlife Rehabilitation's bear program, as well as with the Utah County Medical Reserve Corps and the UEARC (Utah Emergency Animal Response Coalition). He is an active member of the Utah Veterinary Medical Association and provides services for the North and South Utah Valley Animal Shelters.
Dr. Hansen believes the greatest thing about being a veterinarian is helping people get the most from their relationships with animals, and helping animals get the most from their relationships with people at the same time.
